Mitt Bain Capital Document Lists Mitt Romney As 'Managing Member' In 2002

How are Romney and his Romneybots going to spin this one?  Romney has backed himself into a corner and frankly couldn't happen to a better person.

Are the leaders of the Republican Party going to be dumb enough to nominate Romney after the evidence is piling up that Romney's visit to the five networks on Friday night to say he had nothing to do with Bain after 1999 was an outright LIE?  One of the anchors Friday night said they believed that Romney doing his act Friday night on Bain along with not releasing tax returns was going to cause more investigation and that is exactly what has happened.  Michael Steele said basically the same thing.

Was Michael Steele undermined at the RNC so he could be taken out and put a Romney loyalists in his place to make sure Romney got the nomination?  That would go along with the modus operandi of this group of Romney people who have completed a hostile takeover of the Republican Party with the help of the Koch Brothers and others.  Don't recognize today's Republican Party who could care less about the middle class or poor as they pander to the wealthy donors and hold up legislation that would help the economy.

Had to wonder when I saw he had his retirement from Bain backdated to 1999 if there wasn't something suspicious.  But people like me didn't have a clue about Romney who I said he was unethical as I have been told many times.  There is only one problem -- opposition research from 2008 when a lot of us worked for other candidates.  I am proud to say that I was member of the Rudy team before he was taken out by the far right -- same far right who has now teamed up with Romney who was as a liberal for MA Governor in 2002.  He is the perfect chameleon candidate who changes depending on the audience.  That same Romney who in 2001 was head of Bain when they invested in a company that disposed of  'aborted fetuses' per Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Beast.  The usual comeback is that Sullivan is a liberal but he has the evidence and unlike some Republican journalists this time around, he is not making it up.  It has been out there waiting for the media to investigate.

What has happened to honesty and integrity in the Republican Party this election and looks like back in 2010?  From the Congressional Republicans holding up bills that might make Obama look good, to lying that they were working with the President, and turning into pretzels to support Romney for President early on which made no sense, it makes you wonder about anything the GOP is saying today.  What happened to the GOP backbones?  Are they so entrenched with the wealthy that when a member of leadership, Cantor, bets against the US Treasury to make money that he doesn't get a reprimand.  What kind of Majority Leader bets against the US?  But then he is the same one who donated money to an organization trying to take out incumbents including some TX Republicans who won big.  This is a microcosm of today's Republican leaders who put party and big donors ahead of the American people.  Why should any of us be shocked that they refuse to take action on Romney?

Republicans are going into the fall election most likely with an outright liar heading the ticket which brings back memories of John Kerry who Republicans savaged for lying which they should have and I was one who was thoroughly disgusted with his lies.  He couldn't tell the truth about his time in Vietnam and Romney cannot tell the truth about his time at Bain.  Why?  We can go for a trifecta and ask what is in the drinking water in MA that causes their politicians to lie because Sen Scott Brown (R-MA) keeps talking all these imaginary phone calls he gets from Democrats and world leaders.  He was poised to keep his seat before his foot in mouth took over -- now it is toss up.

The Alabama Governor, Robert Bently, along with NRCC Chair Pete Sessions have called for Romney to release his tax returns.  Michael Steele did the same on Friday night, Bill Kristol has joined the chorus, and we expect that chorus to get louder.  What is Romney hiding that he was so arrogant to say only two years of tax returns was enough when his Father released many more?

Huffington Post authors have discovered one more piece of evidence to add to the pile -- this one from Bain itself in 2002 -- is that going to be another lie according to Romney and his surrogates?

A corporate document filed with the state of Massachusetts in December 2002 -- a month after Romney was elected governor -- lists him as one of two managing members of Bain Capital Investors, LLC "authorized to execute, acknowledge, deliver and record any recordable instrument purporting to affect an interest in real property, whether to be recorded with a Registry of Deeds or with a District Office of the Land Court." 

Yet Romney told the Feds in August 2011 in his federal disclosure that he retired from Bain on Feb 11, 1999, but we know that retirement was backdated to 1999 AFTER he won the Governorship of MA in 2002.  That was confirmed this morning by a Romney spokesman saying that it was a retroactive retirement to 1999 and Romney didn't have anything to do with Bain.  Lies keep mounting up because he told the MA Ethics Commissions when trying to get on the ballot for Governor that he had taken a leave of absence from Bain to work for the Olympics but has been reported he took numerous trips back to MA to participate in Board Meetings, Thanksgiving, etc.  Yet Romney goes on TV Friday night and says he had nothing to do with Bain after he left for the Olympics in 1999.  Is he lying now or did he lie on documents earlier.  Going out on a limb here and say he is lying now.  Doesn't have to be a big limb to support that one.

How many of you would like to take a retroactive retirement and get paid for it?  Bet most would but you see we are not wealthy so those rules don't apply to all of us.

If he thinks any of this is going away, he needs to think again.  For the good of the Republican Party he could come clean with his lies, pull out of the race, and allow the Republican Party to have an Open Convention but that would take honesty and integrity along with ethics which are missing with Mitt Romney.  In the meantime the Chairman of the RNC Priebus and others who orchestrated this crooked primary process need to resign immediately.  They have disgraced the Republican Party with choosing Romney as the nominee.  Anyone who thinks the primaries were fair haven't been reading where one state was proportioned and another wasn't, or missing ballot boxes, dead voters, multi-state voters, turning people away from voting in caucuses or running a shadow GOP in NV for starters when they didn't like the person who was elected to head the GOP at the Convention for starters.  How about the debates where the RNC Chair scheduled and picked the moderators and kept people out of the debates that might show up Romney like former Gov of NM Gary Johnson.

Only hope for the Republican Party in November is to have an Open Convention IMHO!  If they go down the road with Romney and his lies and arrogance, expect collateral damage to the GOP Congressional races in November.  I am not enjoying seeing what Romney and his supporters have done to the Republican Party along with the Koch Brothers and their meddling, but I am enjoying the mess Romney has gotten himself in after what he has done to candidate after candidate to fulfill the Mormon prophecy of becoming President.  He didn't even follow his Father's lead who I believe was an honorable person who did release tax returns.  Doesn't phase his son as he is always right and the anyone who questions him is called names by his surrogates like socialist, communists, traitor, and the list goes on.

I put my principles over my Party so no way do I support or vote for the MA liberal Romney who has a problem with the truth and if people don't like it, don't talk to me because I could less.  I will not vote for a candidate who I know to be unethical who has no integrity just because there is an (R) behind their name.  Not happening.

WASHINGTON -- Add another document to the pile of evidence contradicting Mitt Romney's continued insistence that he ended his active role with Bain Capital in early 1999, part of his long-running effort to avoid responsibility for the company's activity, related to outsourcing and bankruptcies, during the years that followed. 

A corporate document filed with the state of Massachusetts in December 2002 -- a month after Romney was elected governor -- lists him as one of two managing members of Bain Capital Investors, LLC "authorized to execute, acknowledge, deliver and record any recordable instrument purporting to affect an interest in real property, whether to be recorded with a Registry of Deeds or with a District Office of the Land Court." 

In August 2011, Romney told federal authorities, as part of the financial disclosure process, that he "retired from Bain Capital on February 11, 1999 to head the Salt Lake Organizing Committee [for the 2002 Winter Olympics]. Since February 11, 1999, Mr. Romney has not had any active role with any Bain Capital entity and has not been involved in the operations of any Bain Capital entity in any way."

Bain Capital Investors is a Bain Capital entity. 

Previously reported evidence shows that Romney was listed as the CEO, chairman and president of the company after 1999 in documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission; took a six-figure salary; signed corporate documents related to major and minor deals and attended board meetings for at least two Bain-affiliated companies. The state document was filed two and a half years after Romney now says he retired from the company, demonstrating his deep and ongoing connection to the firm. 

The mountain of evidence that Romney had a connection to the firm after 1999 leaves him with two possible explanations, neither of them political appealing: Either Romney was officially in charge of the company but took no actual responsibility for it, or he was involved then and is either lying or shading the truth now. 

The latter has its obvious drawbacks, and the former doesn't paint Romney as a portrait of stand-up leadership. President Barack Obama over the weekend seized on Romney's attempt to shed responsibility for the company he officially ran, arguing that a U.S. president doesn't have the luxury of picking and choosing when he's responsible for what happens on his watch.
"Ultimately, I think, Mr. Romney is going to have to answer those questions because if he aspires to being president, one of the things you learn is you're ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations," Obama said in an interview with the District of Columbia's WJLA-TV. 

It's a line of attack Obama employed with deftness against his Republican opponent in 2008, when Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) suspended his presidential campaign to address the financial meltdown. 

"Presidents are going to have to deal with more than one thing at a time," Obama said then, rejecting McCain's request to postpone debates. "It’s not necessary for us to think that we can do only one thing, and suspend everything else." 

On Friday evening, Romney responded to the barrage of Bain reporting and attacks by the Obama camp by scheduling a raft of interviews with major media outlets, during which he repeated his claim that he had had nothing to do with Bain after 1999.

Congress Back in Session -- Hold on to your Wallets

This is not a good start to the year -- debt ceiling needs raised, no budget for FY12, and the estimated amount to deficit with bills passed in the House last year in ten months was $1T.  This is your Congress at work.  Yet they wonder why their ratings are so low.

Looks like big Government Republicans are still in charge in the House like they have been since the GOP originally took the House in 1994, lost it in 2006 and took it back in 2010.  I thought we sent our Representatives to DC to cut the budget not have business as usual and cave to the Democrats over and over again.

Now we learn the  budget from the House of $1T was passed on December 16th to keep the Government open.  You mean to tell me that they couldn't find more cuts.  Bet regular citizens could find a lot of cuts they missed but then they would have to tell their districts no and there was an election year coming up.  Must admit that I missed the passage of the $1T budget bill to keep government open as I was getting ready for Christmas and a trip to Denver and then Phoenix for the Insight Bowl after Christmas.  How convenient to pass all this while people are involved in various activities during the holidays.

Congress should not even be in session after October 1st when the new fiscal year (FY) starts because there should be a budget in place to begin the new fiscal year.  Years ago the new FY began on 1 July but then in the traditional wisdom of Congress, they decided they wouldn't need continuing resolutions if they moved it to 1 October.  Congress still cannot get a budget agreed to and more continuing resolutions are passed even though the date was moved back.  That is no way to do business but it is also wrong to do business as usual when there is such a huge deficit.

Believe we need new leadership in Congress starting with both parties in the Senate.  I am not even a little impressed with the Republican leadership in the Senate and less impressed with the Democrats.  Mitch McConnell from the Republicans and Harry Reid from the Democrats are two leaders who need to give up leadership as neither one has the capability of putting the American people first.  As a whole, Senate leadership is really bad.

In the House, Pelosi and her group have no intention of doing was is best for all Americans as they prefer class warfare.  On the Republican side we have been disappointed that the House under the leadership of Boehner cannot even get the leadership to work together.  It seems that Cantor and Boehner are not on the same side a lot of times and has led to some dysfunctional moments.

Would have loved to see Mike Pence as Speaker of the House but he is running for Governor of Indiana so this will be his last year in Congress.  The people of Indiana are going to be very fortunate to have Mike Pence as their next Governor.  I am hoping that after four years as Governor, he will be our nominee for President in 2016.  He was one of my early favorites this time, but he felt the calling of Indiana.  Please feel free to donate to his campaign for Governor at http://mikepence.com/ to help make sure he is Indiana's next Governor.  He is going to be sorely missed in the House.

Cong Steve King who like Mike Pence can say more in a minute than most can say if five minutes will be there to protect conservative values and try to get more Republicans in the House on the side of cutting the budget and especially regulations.

The amount of regulations that are being added almost daily is mind boggling -- Obama added $9.5B in new regulations just in the month of July 2011.  Through the end of March 2011, the Obama Administration added close to $40 billion in new costs for regulations and rules to the economy, more than twice the Bush rate.  Was disgusted with the rate of Bush regulations and rules but never gave a thought it would double with the next President.  Couldn't find a tally on the end of the year but will post when it is available.

That gets us to the Republican primary where we have three big Government types running against two small Government types.  Romney, Santorum, and Newt by their records are for big Government while Paul and Perry both from Texas are for small Government just disagreeing on how to get there.  The Republican Party looks poised to have our nominee be a big Government type so will regulations/rules continue to cost the taxpayer no matter who wins the Presidency?  Sure looks like it from where I sit.

We see more and more conservatives referring to Romney as Obama lite.  Based on his record as Governor of Massachusetts, we would have to agree with that, but Romney is not running on his record as Governor.  He wants you to only takes what he says today as the facts no matter he was Governor from 2002 to Jan 2007.  Even in 2007, was a member of the moderate Republican Mainstreet Partnership who opposed Sam Alito .  He now is in the hip pocket of Wall Street and K Street lobbyists and we are supposed to believe everything he says when he has flipped flopped on over 30 issues?  Give me a break!

Will someone explain where all these big Government Republicans came from or have they been masquerading as conservatives which seems the logical conclusion.  For every Allen West (R-FL) or James Lankford (R-OK) we have twice as many in the House who believe in earmarks and pork and want to bring home that bacon to their district.  It is time for voters to actually look at who they are electing and vow to stop returning someone to Congress who is a big spender and start electing more small Government types.  In the months ahead those small Government types running for the Congress will be spotlighted on here as people to support.  We will also be going after the big Government types from both parties.  This is not about the left or the right but about electing men and women to Congress who will do the right thing for the American people not line their own pockets.

Hold on to your wallets because Congress is back ready to spend/waste your tax dollars on not only necessary expenditures but a lot that are unnecessary in this election year as they believe more spending for their district is more votes for them.   Time to send the big spenders to the unemployment line.

Note to White House Press Corps -- No Shouting Questions when he Ignores You

The thin skinned President through his mouthpiece Carney is now putting shouting questions at the President which has been done for decades off limits as it bothers Obama.  Don't you feel sorry for Obama having to put up with shouted questions?  (sarcasm)  Two words fit Obama:  "GROW UP!"

Chip Reid from CBS once again shows why he is a valuable member of the White House Press Corps because he is not buying what Carney is trying to sell to the press corps:

“It's an absurd reason to say that because we asked questions you're not going to allow cameras in there. He's capable of ignoring our questions. He does it all the time,” said Chip Reid of CBS. 

Does Carney want to write the questions the press corps is allowed to ask?  This whole cover-up for Obama from the media is about to blow up as you can the cracks in the White House Press Corps on the Obama coverage starting to go more negative because of the way they are treated on a daily basis.

Remember when Reagan was shouted questions -- he took it with a smile and a quip treating it as part of the job. Don't think Obama has one bone in his body that you could ever say he took something negative and turned it into a positive.  He is the more like a kid that didn't get their way and takes the ball home than an adult.  Everything has been handed to him and it shows that if he doesn't get his way he gets very stressed out and snappy.  The "I Won" President who is the 'professional politician' is actually one of the most immature people to ever occupy the office of President.

This is another example of that but he is not the only politician like that today.  We have others that complain when their comments or records are questioned.  How did these thin skinned, spoiled, selfish, pampered politicians find their way into national politics?  The vetting process by voters and the media needs to improve big time.

Read this first thing this morning and then read the article about how Obama got in a tiff with Majority Leader Cantor and walked out the door over debt ceiling talks.  Cantor wants a short term raise so they can get things worked out but the immature President gets irritated and walks out.  Real grown ups would listen and not keep demanding a long term solution when there doesn't seem to be one.  He will risk the credit standing of the United States in order to get his way, but doesn't seem to care.

From the Washington Examiner this morning, Conn Carroll's article, "The Drama Queen is in the Room," we learn more about the thin skinned, spoiled Obama that even the media can no longer ignore:

The pressure is getting to President Obama. Exact details differ among the parties, but everyone seems to agree that Obama grew agitated yesterday after Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., pressed for a short-term debt limit deal paired with small spending cuts. According to multiple sources, Obama told Cantor: “Don’t call my bluff. I am not afraid to veto and I will take it to the American people. … This may bring my presidency down, but I will not yield on this.” 

According to ABC News, Obama then stood up and said: “Enough is enough. We have to be willing to compromise. It shouldn’t be about positioning and politics, and I’ll see you all tomorrow.” Then he left the room. 

This from the President who only recently got involved in debt ceiling talks preferring to fly around the Country and raise money for his Presidential campaign.  Talk about political posturing, Obama is a master at that.  It would be laughable if it wasn't so serious.  Still cannot believe Obama threatened senior citizens with not getting their checks on CBS, but then he talks about others playing politics.

Now he is saying long term deal or no deal and he demands that everyone compromise with him.  I say call his bluff and let the consequences be laid at his feet.

January 2013 cannot come soon enough.

A long-running tiff between the White House press corps and the West Wing over presidential access flared anew today when press secretary Jay Carney faced off with reporters over the right to shout questions at the president during debt talks. 

Obama chafes at the time-honored practice of answering questions shouted at him during pooled, non-press conference events — and his staff has often opted for “stills sprays,” excluding print reporters or TV cameras who might capture Obama in the less than flattering non-act of snubbing a query.

When asked today why TV crews and print reporters were barred from the pool covering the White House meeting with congressional leaders on the deficit, Carney responded by pointing out that the administration has held two press conferences in the past two weeks and allowed TV cameras into the spray earlier this week.

"People shouted questions at him," Carney said. He then added, "The purpose of the meeting is not to create a circus, but to negotiate, so today we're doing stills only."

The White House Correspondents’ Association has protested exclusion of print and TV from pools — and several reporters in the briefing room took Carney’s comment as an annoyed expression of presidential displeasure with shouted questions.

No More Boycotts -- Be Thankful to be an American!

There is a disturbing trend happening on the Internet now from the far right non-Republicans who some are sounding more like the far left by the day. My email this morning is filled with emails from websites attacking stores and wanting me to boycott because some store is not going to decorate for Christmas to using XMas for Christmas. The emails are trying to tell me what to think, what to say, and what to do. As a side note this mentality is nothing new. Was at a Republican Women's Meeting several years ago where one of the leaders said "If you don't go to church twice a week, you are not a Christian." Never been back to that group.

This boycott trend is getting annoying. When it first started out it meant something because boycotts would start over major items like some programming on television that was way out of mainstream. Some cable news outlets sponsors were targeted because of information the the cable networks were putting out was false. Took part in many of the efforts trying to get the cable networks to report facts not spin by joining in those boycotts but now the boycotts are happening routinely and have lost any clout they had.

A lot of it seems to be someone who perceives something is against their religion not to mention trolling for dollars to help the fight. Just maybe a company that is on the edge doesn't have money to decorate or decided not to do it this year. It is their choice as a business owner to observe or not observe a holiday. As long as they don't observe any, I don't have a problem. If they decide to observe a holiday other than Christmas, then I have a problem.

There are a lot of thin skinned people right now in the 'my way or no way' crowds from both parties. To those I would say step away from computer and interact with family and friends and get a perspective on life and what is important. Telling the rest of us what to do, what to think, and what to say is not going to work. Calling people names has to end.

Thanksgiving is coming up next week, and we have a lot to be thankful including the fact that this past election showed America truly is a center right country and that is how it should be governed -- not from the far left or the far right.

Economic issues are at the forefront of most people's concerns. Many don't know if they are going to be laid off during the holidays or not as companies continue to scale back partially because of Obamacare and what is around the corner in costs. Another is the Bush Tax Cuts that need to be approved -- we would like them to be permanent but we don't expect this President to go along and we consider it a win if they stay in place for three more years.

Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for the many blessings we have received living in America. Many of us feel so fortunate to have been born in America and give thanks every day that we live here. We are Americans by birth while many are Americans by choice. What other Country in the world do people strive so hard to come here to live and have a better life for their family?

Each of us has a right to worship in our own way -- some in churches, some in their homes, and some not at all but that's their right. The Freedom of Religion we have been granted keeps America from having a state religion. All our freedoms as so eloquently stated are 'endowed by our creator.' No one group is going to take our freedoms away without a fight. This idea that you can be told what to write or what to say or be called names has to stop. Who gave either side the position of judge and jury over anyone.

There is one thing I always admired about President George W. Bush and that is when he recognized on abortion "you can't change the law, you have to change the hearts and minds of the country." You don't change hearts and minds on any issue by getting in someone's face and giving threats if they don't follow what you say. That's not the way it is done.

As Republicans, we should be thankful the American people woke up and gave us another chance to lead on the economy and healthcare -- two issues which were high on people's minds when they went to vote. I have complete faith in the leadership of the new Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and others of the Republican leadership team and Conference that they will do everything possible to stop the march toward socialism of Obama and Pelosi. It is not a time of celebration in the House, but a time to roll up the sleeves with ideas on how to get this economy moving forward and putting America back on her feet.

With the Senate uniting I have the same hope. What people need to realize that Senators support what their states want or should in a perfect world. Sometimes they might vote for something the rest of our states wouldn't like, but they have to answer to their state not to me or others who don't live in their state.

We are faced with a lot of problems in America right now that have gotten worse the last two years, but Americans have always had a 'can do' attitude and this is no different. The men and women we have elected to the People's House are our voices in Washington. They don't need threats if they don't do something that some group wants, that they are going to be challenged in the next election when they haven't even been sworn in for the 112th Congress yet. What they need is full support unless they prove they don't deserve that support.

You can take it to the bank that these House Republicans from leadership on down are going to govern on our behalf. They did an amazing job in the 111th Congress to slow down the progress of the leftists in their march toward socialism by using every tactic they could find. We expect to see many good things come out of the 112th House starting on January 3, 2011, when Republicans led by the new Speaker John Boehner, who was unanimously elected by the Republican Conference, assumes the Speaker's Chair. We predict that John Boehner and Eric Cantor, new Majority Leader, along with their Leadership team will be the hardest working group we have ever seen the House. We have elected some Republicans with some great ideas that will be coming out in the days ahead.

As Governor-Elect Rick Scott said in Florida along with many other Governors, on January 3rd, the new Speaker John Boehner can join the chorus and declare "America Open for Business!"

GOP says compromise not on the agenda if they retake the House

Compromise? Who is using that word the most? Joe Biden is the one that keeps pushing they might be willing to 'compromise' on Bush Tax Cuts with Republicans. Then the media picks up on the word 'compromise' and puts out a Republican has said it when it turns out in Senator Corker's case, he didn't say what the media reported. How many times has that happened in this election cycle that the media has reported something was said that turned out not to be the case.

Is the word 'compromise' the new word of the day by Democrats to show that the GOP will compromise if elected to take the House. If it is, they don't know these members who will be in charge. They are in no mood to compromise on anything after spending the last four years having it shoved down their throat especially the last two with Obama as President.

There is a big difference between 'compromise' and working together to solve a problem. There are Democrats in the House like Dan Boren from Oklahoma you can work with just like you could his Dad, David Boren, when he was a Senator. Trying to work with the Progressive Wing of the Democrats would be a huge waste of time.

Republicans need to have their agenda ready to go that is about limited government, keeping the Bush Tax Cuts, decrease size of the budget, and FIX Social Security. The Obamacare bill needs file 13'd and start over on a real fix. Healthcare is a mess that has been made a lot worse by Obamacare. Also need to increase Border Security and NO Amnesty -- enforce the laws on the books.

DOJ needs to be the target of a Senate investigation after all the Holder has been doing against the welfare of American citizens from immigration to terrorists to vote fraud and intimidation that is condoned for starters.

True transparency needs to see the light of day in Congress and stop the backroom deals that are voted on within a short period of time of their agreement. Make the People's House the true voice of the people and make sure that "We The People" have access to the bills before they are voted on and can comment on them. Republican Leader Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Mike Pence have a plan to do just that when they take over.

GOP says compromise not on the agenda if they retake the House

Republicans aren't interested in compromising with President Obama on major issues if they retake the House or Senate, a senior GOP lawmaker said.

"Look, the time to go along and get along is over," said Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.), the chairman of the House Republican Conference. "House Republicans know that. We’ve taken firm and principled stands against their big government plans throughout this Congress, and we’ve got, if the American people will send them, we’ve got a cavalry of men and women headed to Washington, D.C. that are going to stand with us."

Pence said his party wouldn't compromise on issues like spending or healthcare reform, two of the weightiest items on Congress's agenda next year, when the Republicans could control one or both chambers.

"Look, there will be no compromise on stopping runaway spending, deficits and debt. There will be no compromise on repealing Obamacare. There will be no compromise on stopping Democrats from growing government and raising taxes," Pence told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt Thursday evening. "And if I haven’t been clear enough yet, let me say again: No compromise."

His words are meant to soothe conservatives who worry the party might be too accommodating of Obama and the Democrats in Congress.

Their fears were sparked earlier this week when retiring Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.) suggested repealing healthcare reform might not be the best approach to the issue. The "Repeal It" argument has been a rally cry for Republicans this election cycle, and several conservative candidates and incumbents backed by the Tea Party movement have signed a pledge to support repealing the healthcare law.

But the conservative grassroots movement is worried the GOP leadership hasn't embraced the pledge. After Gregg's remarks, a conservative blogger argued the senator's view "reflects that of the Senate GOP leadership, despite their protestations to the contrary."

Conservatives also pounced on a suggestion, published by a political blog, that Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) had told party donors not to worry about incoming "crazier Republicans," and that the Senate GOP wouldn't seek to repeal the healthcare law. (Corker subsequently denied having said anything of that sort, and cleared the record in a subsequent post with that blog.)

The Tennessee senator went on CNBC on Friday to calm those conservatives, saying he'd vote again to repeal healthcare reform if given the opportunity, and vowed to work with Democrats to accomplish that.

"I think vulnerable Democrats who say we've got to do something, I think they're going to be willing to work with us to dismantle this piece of legislation," Corker said.

Adding to the pressure on GOP leaders not to compromise will be the incoming class of conservative candidates backed by the Tea Party movement.

"I think it's wrong to compromise your values to fit in with the social climate in Washington, D.C.," Colorado Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck told The Washington Post this week. "When it comes to spending, I'm not compromising. I don't care who, what, when or where, I'm not compromising."

Delay Of Federal Report Involving Giannoulias’ Bank Until After Election Day

Illinois voters are faced with not having the full truth about Giannoulias' Broadway Bank until after the election. They would be smart to err on the side of caution and not vote for the Mob Banker Giannoulias who is also involved with Rezko as well. Electing Giannoulias may lead to have another Senator appointed and another special election when the truth comes out. Also in all of this is the Giannoulias Family Broadway Bank who gave Obama his first loan for a condo that he didn't qualify for so it pretty much smells all the way around.

Obama Administration lied about their desire to have transparent government in 2008 -- it made good soundbites but the actions following his election speak louder then any of his words. Hopefully, the people of Illinois now have a clue to the real Obama they refused to acknowledge in 2008. House Republican Whip U.S. Representative Eric Cantor (R-VA) issued the following statement in response to a Chicago Tribune report that notes, “A final report on the failed family bank of Democratic Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias will not be released until after the Nov. 2 election.”

“People are extremely frustrated with Washington and the use of political influence to hide important information from the public is a clear example why.

“Illinois voters should know all of the facts about the candidates before casting their ballots, and the government should not be covering up information to protect political candidates.

“The failure of Alexi Giannoulias’ bank cost the government millions of dollars, and there is no excuse for President Obama and his administration to hide information from Illinois voters. Further, Alexi Giannoulias himself should demand that all information be made public if he has nothing to hide.”

Boehner: Jobs are Top Issue

We can guarantee one thing -- John Boehner, the current Republican Leader, will be reelected to Congress in huge numbers from the Congressional District we once called home. This area of Ohio like many others have been hard hit with loss of jobs. Some of those jobs went away because of the unions and their neverending demands that helped kill the Ohio economy. Manufacturing has been moving to states with Right to Work and a better tax advantage for a long time.

Ohioians have an opportunity to get the State back on the right track with sending Obama buddy Gov Strickland to the unemployment line and electing former Rep John Kasich to be Governor. We predict they will also be sending Rob Portman to the Senate and more Republicans as part of their House delegation like Steve Chabot to help Republican Leader John Boehner become Speaker of the House John Boehner.

When Boehner took over from Denny Hastert who left early, he was left with Hastert's governing team for the 2008 election who believed in incumbent protection. Now with Boehner's own team in place, we have seen a huge difference with the number of seats the House has targeted plus the quality of candidates they have been able to recruit. The NRCC led by Pete Sessions is on the offense -- incumbents are for the most part on their own as they target seats with Democrats.

Boehner's leadership team is second to none with Mike Pence who is the best spokesman for the House Republican Conference we have seen and with Eric Cantor as Whip. With Pete Sessions heading NRCC with Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, and Kevin McCarthy who put together Young Guns for this election along with help from other members of the House they have built the foundation for victory in November.

Against all odds and being completely out numbered, the Republicans members of the House have continued to fight -- Steve King gives some of the best one minute speeches we have seen in the House. Team him and Pence up and you have no better team that can say more in a short period of time then Democrats can say in an hour. The hard work of House Republicans will pay off on November 2nd.

Boehner: Jobs are top issue

The November election will be all about jobs, House Republican leader John Boehner said Friday.

Speaking in his southwest Ohio home district hours after a bleak federal report on employment was released, Boehner said that it looked a lot like the reports every month under President Barack Obama's economic stimulus plan.

He said Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi should call the House back into session for a vote on Republican economic plans touted as "a pledge to America." Regardless, he said, voters get their chance Nov. 2 to cast ballots in what he called a referendum on high unemployment and "job-killing policies."

"This coming election is about one issue: jobs," he said. "It's about jobs that were promised to the American people by the current administration, and were never delivered."

Boehner fired up a rally at a West Chester family-owned manufacturing company, telling his audience an "out-of-control" government is disrespecting them. He asked rhetorically if they had to accept it, then shouted: "Hell no, you don't!"

A Democratic National Committee spokesman said Boehner wants a return to Bush administration policies that benefit the rich and special interests.

"John Boehner claims a different direction, but does he mean it?" asked Alec Gerlach. "Hell no, he doesn't."

Boehner, in line to become the next speaker if Republicans gain 40 seats in the House, said the Republicans' "pledge" represents a new direction for Congress and for the GOP as well.

"And I can promise you, if we are entrusted with the opportunity to govern, we are going to do things differently," Boehner said.

The Republican plans include extending tax cuts and reducing spending. Critics have called them vague, likely to worsen deficits and not new.

Boehner said Friday "there's nothing new" about the Obama administration's approach.

"Over the past two years, the governing party in Washington has been deeply committed to the tired old notion that our nation can spend and borrow its way back to prosperity," he said.

He said among congressional changes planned by Republicans are ones in legislative rules to make spending cuts easier.
