Obama: Job creation not goal of Dec. 3 jobs forum

This is one of those articles that you have to read twice and then ask yourself why the President's use of the vocabulary is so different from most Americans.

Companies have been laying off because they don't have the resources to continue paying people so how is this 'jobs forum' going to help. If a business is not making a profit and they have huge taxes looming ahead from this Obama Administration, why would they want to hire more people.

With all the pre-Christmas sales around, doubt if this is going to be a huge Christmas buying spree. Never have seen such discounts as we are witnessing this far before Christmas.

BEIJING (AP) - President Barack Obama says creating jobs isn't the goal of a coming White House forum on jobs and economic growth.

The president told NBC News on Wednesday that the purpose of the Dec. 3 summit is to figure out how to encourage hiring by businesses still reluctant to do so.
The U.S. unemployment rate hit 10.2 percent last month, the highest in decades. Before departing on his trip through Asia, Obama said the high jobless rate is one of the biggest challenges for an economy that has begun to show signs of recovery.
Obama told NBC that the forum will give him and other administration officials a chance to talk to CEOs, small-business owners and other experts to find out what's going on.

US jobless claims unexpectedly rise

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of U.S. workers filing new claims for jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week, a government report showed on Thursday, fanning worries of an anemic recovery from the worst recession in 70 years.

Initial claims for state unemployment insurance benefits rose 15,000 to a seasonally adjusted 576,000 in the week ended August 15 from 561,000 the prior week, the Labor Department said. Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast new claims slipping to 550,000 last week from a previously reported 558,000.

NOTE: Lou Dobbs in an article just posted asked where the jobs are and now we have the answer, there are no jobs as more people applied for unemployment then expected. Yet this Administration wants to take over Healthcare. What have they to show for the stimulus except for a huge addition to the national debt which has passed $1T (trillion) for the first time ever. Some voters in the Country decided to vote for someone with little to no experience because of the man's color which was stupid. The Presidency is not a place to do OJT (on the job training for those that don't know OJT). Media never bothered to investigate Obama but they spent hours and hours investigating Sarah Palin who was a Governor. Disgusting for the taxpayers of America to see what is unfolding by the Democratic Socialist of America who are in the halls of Congress with a sympathizer in the White House.
