Should the National Endowment for the Arts encourage artists to create art on issues being vehemently debated nationally?

That is the question that I set out to discuss a little over three weeks ago when I wrote an article on Big Hollywood entitled The National Endowment for the Art of Persuasion?”

The question still requires debate but the facts do not. The NEA and the White House did encourage a handpicked, pro-Obama arts group to address politically
controversial issues under contentious national debate. That fact is irrefutable.

We are beginning to lean toward the fact that Valerie Jarrett is running the Government as the go-between with Soros/Ayers/Dohrn Shadow Government using Obama as a puppet. She was able to get Jones hired in spite of protest.

Frank Marshall Davis was under FBI investigation for 19 years and moved from Chicago to Hawaii in 1948, leaving behind a colleague named Vernon Jarrett. Both wrote for a leftwing newspaper called the Chicago Defender. In 1971, Davis was introduced to a 9 year-old Barack Obama and mentored him for 9 years.

Oh, and in addition to Frank Marshall Davis being a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), he wrote pornogrpahic books that even delved into child molestation. One book in particular, 'SEX REBEL' did just that.

If a blogger can do the connection in less then 5 minutes, what is up with the alphabet networks, CNN, MSNBC, and the major print media? Guess they have decided to toss the Society of Professional Journists Code of Ethics out the window to keep kneepadding and spinning for this Administration. All the links are there for anyone to find but we mostly hear crickets chirping from the members of the DC elite media. How far left has our media gone to where they don't seem to care if they report the facts as long as they continue to serve Obama and his socialist agenda. Do members of the media want to become State Run Media -- they wouldn't have to think that way and could recycle Obama press releases as facts.

The White House shouldn't expect the furor over Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality Van Jones to go away just because he's resigned, says a former Obama Administration transition team member, because "the same problems that they created with Jones's hiring are there for others and they don't seem to care about the political damage these people may inflict."

According to several White House sources, Jones was hired for his "green jobs czar" positions over concerns raised by the White House Counsel's Office, after Jones's background materials came back with several of what were termed "inconsistencies" in the Standard Form 86 Questionnaire for National Security Positions.

When confronted with the 2004 9/11 truther petition by the White House communications staff, Jones, according to sources, initially blamed his staff at the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. The petition was spun by the White House as Jones simply not having read the material closely. Within an hour of the White House statement with Jones's apology, another document came to light indicating that Jones had helped organize a 2002 truther protest march in San Francisco. Jones, according to White House sources, denied any involvement. "It's clear we [the White House] don't know enough about him," said a White House source in the Counsel's office, who spoke on Saturday morning before Jones resigned, and did so anonymously in the hopes that information about concerns raised by the counsel's office about Jones might push him out of the Administration.

The source inside the White House Counsel's office says that their office had recently begun to look into whether Jones had recently had contact with this friends and former co-workers at Color for Change, the leftist group Jones helped to found, and which launched the advertiser boycott against Fox News host Glenn Beck. Color for Change ramped up its protest of Beck after he began attacking the Obama Administration's "Czar" programs, including Jones. The White House legal office was also looking into the timing of a website that was launched late Friday, VanJones.net; earlier in the week the site had been "Under Construction."

Jaffer, a Canadian citizen, attended the dinner, which President Obama said was being held for American Muslims.

According to an article in the Los Angeles Times on September 4, the United States has announced a major cutoff in aid to Honduras, saying that it had terminated “more than $30 million” which had previously been suspended. The announcement added that:
"It may eliminate as much as $200 million more if Honduras does not restore democratic rule and reinstate President Manuel Zelaya, who was ousted in a coup."

In addition, the United States also threatened on September 3 to “withhold recognition of the new president who emerges from elections scheduled in November” unless Zelaya is reinstated prior to the election. Mr. Zelaya understood Secretary Clinton to have been more emphatic. He said that he "appreciated that Mrs. Clinton had “made it clear” the U.S. wouldn’t recognize any government arising from elections held by the interim government."

The United States had earlier started revoking visas “of members and supporters of the de facto regime. It had previously canceled four officials’ visas and stopped issuing new tourist and business visas to Hondurans.”

The situation is confusing. The “more than $30 million” termination of aid announced on September 3 probably refers to a further but undefined step with regard to the earlier “suspension” of aid noted on the same day by a State Department spokesman as “about $35 million in aid,” which “had been temporarily suspended after the coup.”

The earlier aid “suspension” apparently occurred on July 2. The difference between “suspension” and “termination” of aid is less than crystal clear. It is also unclear when, and even whether, the “about $35 million” aid termination will be followed by the threatened additional $200 million aid cut-off...

COMMENTS: What part of the fact this was not a coup which the rest of the world is waking up to does this Administration not understand? The former President went against the Honduran Constitution and was lawfully removed. What does Obama and Hillary do? They side with the legally ousted President Zelaya against the legitimate Government. What part of Impeachment do they not understand? Wait Hillary was against her husband being removed from office when he lied. Is that what is driving her? Failure to acknowledge a Constitution of another Country whose Congress and Supreme Court actually removed Zelaya after finding him guilty makes no sense except if you are socialist aka Communist leaning.

This President supports dictators over legitimate Governments which should get him impeached before this is all over especially if he thinks he can stay in office forever like the other dictators in the hemisphere. Time to cut of monetary support to ACORN voter fraud people and put an end the voter fraud of the Democrats to ensure we have legitimate people elected.

TEGUCIGALPA — Honduras' de facto government attacked deposed President Manual Zelaya on Saturday for wasting six million dollars of public funds on horses, vacations and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Government officials distributed a lengthy list of what they claimed were Zelaya's pet luxury items, including cash for the upkeep of his horses as well as airline tickets, jewelry, the use of a private helicopter, and his own top-of-the-range motorbike, local media reported.

In an audit of Zelaya's expenses by judicial authorities, the mustachioed leader -- who was ushered out of the country on June 28 in a military-backed coup -- also spent money on expensive wines renting high-end real estate.

"By next week the High Court of Auditors will provide a report on each part of the investigation, and whether a criminal prosecution is appropriate," said Renan Sagastume, the presiding judge for Honduras' Superior Court of Auditors.

Meanwhile Honduras' interim government said it would suspend visa-free travel with Brazil for diplomats and other officials.

UPDATE:

The Honduran Constitution may be amended in any way except three. No amendment can ever change (1) the country's borders, (2) the rules that limit a president to a single four-year term and (3) the requirement that presidential administrations must "succeed one another" in a "republican form of government."

Article 239 of the Constitution specifically states that any president who so much as proposes the permissibility of reelection "shall cease forthwith" in his duties, and Article 4 provides that any "infraction" of the succession rules constitutes treason. The rules are so tight because these are terribly serious issues for Honduras, which lived under decades of military rule. The U.S. State Department terminated a broad range of assistance to the government of Honduras, charging the de facto regime and continuing failure to restore democratic, constitutional rule to Honduras (remember- they DID follow their constitution).

The State Dept. goes on to say that they will restore the terminated assistance upon a return to democratic, constitutional governance in Honduras. Their normally scheduled presidential election will be in November. But, the State Department says "we would not be able to support the outcome of the scheduled elections." I don't understand WHY people are not up in arms over this. Make sure that people are aware...

This is a speech delivered by White House Green Jobs "Czar" Anthony K. (Van) Jones in Berkeley before a very leftist activist/student group, a few weeks after Obama was inaugurated.
A relatively high-quality, recent, clear video of VAN JONES, with somewhat damaging public comments during this talk he made which could be part of the rope to hang his senior White House job.

In this speech and presentation, Van Jones uses words such as "Comrades", "Maoists", discusses his strategy now that the White House has been seized how "Green Jobs" will be the initial beachhead by which to completely defeat the "status quo" with this revolutionary "new democracy", to further not only environmental issues but a variety of other political causes in the USA, and what the Radical Left can now do as they have "seized power" with Barack Obama, about how vulnerable "people are out of jobs" and this creates a receptive atmosphere to their words, discussing his own self being tear-gassed in Seattle for street violence at WTO, etc. etc. etc.

I will say that he is rather eloquent (talks without notes, and mildly comical as in a stand up comedian sense), a very slick Socialist/Communist--but also arrogant and talking down to people. He mocked capitalism, he cracked an anti-police joke--in the vein of President Obama who sounded off his mouth recently on Harvard police w/out the facts--to the guffaws of the far leftist crowd. He also articulated how to use the post-election Barack Obama nationwide organization of 13 million to, online and otherwise, make life miserable for targeted conservative Senators. IMHO, this video will probably help usher in this man's removal from government. Mr. Jones' little comedic onstage dance while he indicated how the American people should be subtly indoctrinated to go along with this radical left-turn business was classic and most informative.

Comments: WHY are the members of the US Senate not shouting about having a Communist Czar in our Government at the top of our lungs. Is the healthcare front and center to hide the fact there are now 44 Czars at $182,000 with ten employees each? Where is that money coming from and why do we have 44 Czars when we have Cabinet Secretaries? When is the MSM going to start investigating and get off their kneepads for Obama.

We have a few in the WH Press Corps who are not afraid to ask questions, Jack Tapper, Chip Reid, and Helen Thomas (sometimes) but what about the rest. The press secretary Gibbs spins and laughs but very seldom will answer a question straight out. He makes Scott McClellan look good which no one thought was possible.

Ronald Radosh explores the case of Van Jones. Jones is Obama's green jobs "czar" (his formal title is Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality). As green jobs "czar," Jones's responsibility is to coordinate the stimulus spending to assure that a hefty portion of it goes to projects that promote green energy.

In his relatively recent past Jones was a Marxist revolutionary. From 1992 until 2002, Jones was a member of a radical communist group that was dedicated to "organizing a revolutionary movement in America." Does Jones remain a Marxist revolutionary today?

The White House has declined to provide a straight answer to the question. We will accordingly assume that, in Jones's case, "commissar" would be more like it.

UPDATE: A commenter points out that Jones is not a "czar," but rather an "adviser." The Wall Street Journal distinguished between the job titles here in the case of Jones. Does the title of Obama administration "czar" have formal legal contours? The Chicago Tribune asks: how many czars are there? In any event, I think commissar is the more appropriate honorific, and Victor Davis Hanson makes the case that the Marxist spirit pervades the White House.

NOTE: The Obama administration appoints a special prosecutor on the CIA, but has all these Czars who are not subject to Senate confirmation skate. WHERE is the Administration getting money to pay these CZARS or whatever they call people not subject to Senate confirmation? They each earn $182,000 a year with a staff of 10 and there are well over 30 of them. Yet, he only has not come close to filling all the political appointees subject to Senate Confirmation. WHY?
