"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

In Commandos' home base, pride is deep and lips are sealed

Wish the people in the White House would be doing the same thing as they are doing in Virginia Beach -- keeping their lips sealed.  This Obama Administration has been leaking like a sieve on the operation with their changing stories.  Now they have released the Bin Laden videos -- what is the purpose of that?  Why give out so much information on what they found in the compound?  Has this Administration never heard of 'need to know' or does that only pertain to Obama's background which is held like a Top Secret operation.

Virginia Beach keeps the identity of the SEALS quiet but Obama makes them fly to Fort Campbell to meet him.  Why Fort Campbell which is an Army base?  Makes no sense.  CNN has an expert on from Aviation Weekly to discuss the experimental helicopter -- interesting information in the video below.  According to him most experts think this technology goes back over a decade but CNN is breathlessly talking about the chopper while Aviation Week spokesman is not that impressed.  As he said, the fact that once you use this,  it is no longer secret.  Also said a company was working on this some time ago which corresponds to the 'experts' who say this goes back to the stealth plane development.   Typical CNN anchors trying to get an expert to say what they want to hear.

In commandos' home base, pride is deep and lips are sealed

By Dugald McConnell and Brian Todd, CNN
May 5, 2011 11:06 p.m. EDT

Virginia Beach, Virginia (CNN) -- The commando team that killed Osama bin Laden has already returned to American soil, a senior U.S. official said Wednesday. But in the town where they are widely believed to be based, you would never know it -- which is clearly by design.
While most soldiers returning from a war zone see an outpouring of welcome upon their return, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, it is quiet this week -- even though it is home to a storied team of Navy SEALs.

The highly trained operatives of the unit often called SEAL Team Six, widely reported to have been the ones to kill bin Laden, keep a low profile -- with the help of the community. That means city officials are planning no public commendations for the men based here, no matter how proud they are of the outcome of this week's overseas mission.

The Navy SEALs' stealth helicopter

Virginia Beach Councilman Bill DeSteph is a former Naval intelligence officer, but he was mum when asked whether the American commandos who went to Pakistan are based here.

"No matter where these individuals are from," he said, "there's no city that will be able to confirm or deny, or throw a ticker-tape parade, or anything else."

SEAL Team Six is widely reported to operate out of Naval Air Station, Oceana, near Virginia Beach. The unit is covered with such a degree of secrecy that the military doesn't even acknowledge that it's here. And that code goes beyond operational security at the base.

Judge for yourself but this tail section of the chopper shows it going into the ground so how could anyone walk away from this.  Is this picture real or is it part of the Obama spin machine?  How large is the chopper?  A lot of questions and the pictures of the destroyed chopper don't match the picture of the tail section.

More of the unanswered questions from this Administration.

Patton: Thank You, Mr. President

This article is one of those gotcha articles -- headline of the article leaves you wondering what happened to Doug Patton and then you read the story finding out it is President Bush not Obama.  Now you can breath a sigh of relief that you world has not turned upside down.

What would have happened if Obama had not kept a lot of the Bush foreign policy in tact?  Reminder it is same foreign policy he relentlessly attacked during the 2008 Presidential campaign.  The Obama foreign policy has been a disaster for the Middle East as we now we are facing the prospect of the Muslim Brotherhood taking over Egypt.  The same Muslim Brotherhood who Obama's people said we didn't have to worry about.  Slowly a sense is growing in Egypt that they may end up having more freedoms under President Mubarak then what they are starting to see under the new regime.  Good chance the Muslim Brotherhood will be running Egypt with Shariah Law implemented.  In Libya we chose the side of the rebels without bothering to check them out with some rebels coming from Al Qaeda.
Patton: Thank You, Mr. PresidentBy Doug Patton The world's foremost terrorist is dead, and it seems that thanks are in order. When a leader is deserving of praise, it is only right that those of us who opine on the nature of such things should give credit where credit is due. So I would like to say thank you, Mr. President. Yes, that's right. I would like to say thank you to the man responsible for getting Osama bin Laden. That man is George W. Bush.
....
As for the foreign policy decisions Obama himself has made, they have all been wrong. He has tried appeasement with the mullahs in Iran, backed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, turned his back on Israel, insulted our closest ally in Europe — Great Britain — and cozied up to dictators like Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.
....
On May 1, 2003, President Bush copiloted a Lockheed S-3 Viking aircraft onto the deck of the carrier Abraham Lincoln as it returned from combat operations in the Persian Gulf. After posing for pictures in his flight suit with members of the ship's crew, the president gave a speech with a banner behind him that read "Mission Accomplished." The Left and their dutiful lackeys in the media went crazy. They called it a stunt. They said Bush was using it to get re-elected; and to this day they will not let go of that image and the message they believe it conveyed.
Fast forward exactly eight years to the day — May 1, 2011. Osama bin Laden is dead, which is good news for civilized people everywhere. After calling Bush to give him the news, it was all photo-op time for Obama in a week calculated to maximize the perceived PR victory he thought he had just won for himself.
These shameless "look at me" plugs for the reelection of Barack Obama culminated in an odd, wreath-laying ceremony at Ground Zero, as if it were suddenly September 11th again and it was vitally necessary that he be there. He tried to get former Presidents Bush (43) and Clinton to join him, but to their credit, they declined.
Then, to cap off his week in the limelight, Obama flew to Fort Campbell, KY, to incorporate the troops into his campaign efforts.
All this after telling us he would not release photos of a dead Osama bin Laden because "we don't spike the ball." Uh huh.
So as Barack Obama basks in the sunshine of his imagined personal victory, I say to George W. Bush, "Thank you, Mr. President. You protected our country during your tenure and you put us on the trail of the biggest human cockroach on the planet. Your successor, wearing your large shoes, just happened to step on him."

The double standard by Obama knows no end.  A lot of people in this Country are getting fed up by the I, I, I of Obama when he speaks and the adoring Obama media members who cover for him over and over again.

When are members of the Mainstream Media going to start questioning Obama on why it took him from August 2010 when CIA Director Panetta told him they were sure Bin Laden was in the compound where he was found until May 1st to take him out?  CIA put the compound  under surveillance waiting months for orders to take out Bin Laden.  All these months of dithering on the part of Obama could have led to Bin Laden going back into the mountains again. If Panetta had not issued the order to execute the raid on Sunday was there a possibility Bin Laden with cash on hand could have disappeared again.  Why was Obama on the golf course when this mission was going commenced?  It seems like such a simple question that should be asked by the media but we hear crickets.

It was very telling that Presidents Bush and Clinton refused to participate in the Ground Zero wreath laying in front of 50 specially chosen 9/11 families.  This was all about Obama this past week and no one else.  The White House media could very easily question the picture of Obama watching the raid when it was a blank screen, but we have our doubts they will say a word choosing to continue to cover for Obama.

Will someone please tell us why Obama went to Fort Campbell instead of to Norfolk NAS to meet with the SEALS?  It is Navy SEALS not Army SEALS.  How can one President and his White House Staff get so many facts wrong in such a short period of time?

CIA had Bin Laden residence under surveillance for months

This excerpt from the NY Times article about the CIA and information that is being gleaned from the data the SEALS recovered is giving total credence that Obama kept dithering when they knew where Obama was located. We were not expecting to see this first paragraph below from the NY Times:
The C.I.A. had Bin Laden’s compound under surveillance for months before American commandos killed him in an assault on Monday, watching and photographing residents and visitors from a rented house nearby, according to several officials briefed on the operation.
The documents taken at the Abbottabad compound, according to American officials, show that Bin Laden was in touch regularly with the terror network he created. With his whereabouts and activities a mystery in recent years, many intelligence analysts and terrorism experts had concluded that he had been relegated to an inspirational figure with little role in current and future Qaeda operations.
Excerpt: Read More at the New York Times
Now even the Times is saying the CIA had Bin Laden under surveillance for months, but yet we hear the statements that Pakistan didn't say a peep about him to the United States. We find that hard to believe just like we find hard to believe that the CIA was not an active participate in this whole mission since our resources in Pakistan had him under surveillance.
This Obama White House will do anything to make Obama look good but in the end he dithered for months. For once the NY Times is putting the information out there for all to see. What other news organization is going to pick up the fact that the CIA knew where he was at but Obama would not approve any type of raid for months?
Is the real reason Obama fired McChrystal is because McChrystal wanted to go after Obama as soon as the CIA confirmed he was there? Beginning to make sense because little else has made any sense. What took Obama so long that CIA Director Panetta had to issue the order? Obama said he didn't want to do an air raid as they couldn't identify if it was Bin Laden, but Obama had him buried at sea in less than 24 hours and talks about how DNA was confirmed right away when anyone with an ounce of brains has googled how long it takes to get a 99% match. Is Obama ever going to tell the truth or are we going to have to listen to 21 more months of lies and spin?

Obama White House Spin Clarifies the Clarifications -- Incompetence Rules

We have noted through this whole White House debacle that the British papers along with American bloggers have been far out in front of all the clarifications but this one from the London Telegraph says it all.

Osama bin Laden: that White House clarification in full
By Damian Thompson
May 4, 2011

This just in from an exclusive source…

In an earlier briefing, we may have given the impression that Osama bin Laden was armed when we stormed his compound. We meant, of course, that he was unarmed. Moreover, we would like to clarify that when we said he resisted arrest, that was merely a figure of speech. In addition, we would like to make a small correction to our report that bin Laden used his wife as a human shield; he did not, in fact, use his wife as a shield. Earlier statements that she was killed were, of course, a misunderstanding. She was not killed; that was another lady. Furthermore, we would like to remove any doubt over our claim that we have decided to release a photograph of Osama bin Laden’s body by confirming that we shall not be releasing any pictures of the body. We trust that this clears up any confusion.
Source: London Telegraph
This excerpt from Pamela Geller sends shivers up your spine when you realize that the United States may have been on the verge of losing Bin Laden again as all signs pointed to his leaving the house most likely for the mountains. Obama dithering almost cost us the death of Bin Laden -- thanks to CIA Director Leon Panetta it didn't as he was not afraid to order the mission to proceed.

It is disturbing that the safe-house was discovered last August and that we risked losing OBL over the course of the past nine months. The courier's name who led to Bin Laden through Bush's CIA interrogations was leaked in the latest WIKILEAKS dump. So it was only a matter of time.

"Osama bin Laden had 500 Euros in cash and two telephone numbers sewn into his clothing when he was killed, CBS News has confirmed." It was a miracle we got there in time.

Atlas Shrugs
Found one of the best details of the continous White House spin clarifying the clarifications that happened over a 3-day period at Pamela Geller's Atlas Shrugs site. All this spin continues to lend credibility that Obama was not the one who ordered the SEAL Teams to find and kill Bin Laden. As head of the CIA, Panetta was in the perfect position to order the mission. Would be an educated guess that the true details of what happened that Sunday night won't be revealed for sometime as it would totally blow a hole in the Obama and White House spin.

Obama's Got More 'Splainin' to Do
May 5, 2011

In the aftermath of the OBL kill, it becomes increasingly clear that the only ones who got it right were the righteous, our military heroes. Leave it to the Obama administration to destroy a golden, historic moment once the kill was made. Perhaps this is why he was silent at his exploitative visit to Ground Zero earlier today. Because every time he (and members of his mafia like Brennan) open their pie hole, they stick their foot in it.

How bad did the morphing OBL naarative get? So bad that the White House said: We Won't Release Any More Operational Details About OBL Killing

After two days of administration officials offering up conflicting details and accounts of the intense U.S. assault-team raid on Osama bin Laden's compound and his subsequent killing, the White House has completely shut down press attempts to get a full accounting of what transpired.[...]

Carney repeatedly refused to answer basic operational questions about the sequence of events that occurred inside the compound Sunday night, at times appearing petulant when reporters persisted. [...]

The Obama Administration’s cloud of confusion explained Bookworm

Usually when governments use misinformation, they use it to make themselves look good. The Obama Administration gets points for originality, insofar as it’s been using disinformation and misinformation to make itself look arbitrary, unlawful, helpless and stupid. Here’s jj’s great summary:

Okay, what do we have here:

1) There was a firefight.
2) There was no firefight.
3) Bin Laden was “resisting.”
4) Bin Laden wasn’t armed. (Makes the concept of “resisting” interesting.)
5) He used his wife as a shield.
6) His wife was killed too.
7) He didn’t use his wife as a shield. She ran at a SEAL who shot her in the leg, but she’s fine.
8 ) Some other woman — the maid? — was used as a shield. By somebody. Downstairs.
9) That other woman — downstairs — was killed.
10) Maybe not. She was killed unless she wasn’t — and who was she, anyway?
11) Bin Laden’s son was killed.
12) Unless it was some other guy.
13) Bin Laden’s daughter saw him get killed. She’s undoubtedly traumatized, poor dear.
14) They were going to capture Bin Laden until the problem with the helicopter, which was:

A) It had mechanical trouble
B) It did a hard landing
C) It crashed
D) It clipped a wall with a tail rotor, effectively a crash

15.) They were never going to try to capture him; it was always a kill mission.
16.) No, it wasn’t.
17) The chopper blew up.
18) The SEALs blew it up.
19.) Panetta said yesterday the world needed proof and the photo would be released.
20.) Obama said today in an interview he taped with Steve Kroft for “60 Minutes” to be broadcast Sunday that it won’t be released. It’s too gruesome, would offend Muslim sensibilities (something he worries about a lot — I personally do not give a warm fart on a wet Wednesday about Muslim sensibilities), and how would Americans feel if Muslims released pictures of dead Americans?
21.) Kroft — who’s not a total idiot — pointed out that ever since “Black Hawk Down” days, Muslims have been doing precisely that, filming American bodies being dragged through the streets, filming Daniel Pearl’s head being cut off, filming any and everything.
22) Obama gets pissed at CBS, the tape gets cleaned up, that question disappears. (Inside info.)
23.) We got a “treasure trove” of stuff from hard drives, etc.
24.) There were no phone lines, and no internet access at the “mansion,” they didn’t even have TV — what “treasure trove?”
25.) There is obviously in the pictures of the place a large satellite dish. I guess they used it for making salads.
26.) And now, just today: apparently the idea was to capture him, but only if he was naked. There was a suspicion he might be wearing a suicide bomber type explosive vest, or belt. So if he’s not naked and you can’t see if he has a vest on or not – shoot him.
The idiot Carney — they actually managed to find someone who makes Gibbs look good — is currently twisting himself into knots trying to explain why the photograph that the whole world was expecting isn’t going to be released. (Obviously the thing to do is get Trump on the case, he’ll force Obama to release it.)

The military did great, the administration — or whatever that bunch is, kind of like “The Little Rascals” — have managed to turn it into spaghetti. The story has changed so many times in the course of a mere three days it’s a joke — the world would be better off if Panetta had left the little shitwit on the golf course.

The latest spin of the AK-47 nearby Bin Laden but no guns were found except on one bodyguard can be added to the list along with Navy SEALS thought he was reaching for a weapon but Bin Laden was in a fog himself. Now this incompetent White House team is using the SEALS as who made the decision to shoot?

The photographs on the internet can also be added to the 'Fog of War.' There are so many photographs alleging to be the compound that it makes your head swim. We love the ones from ABC that show the oval windows where the shooting place up the stairs and then look at the outside of the compound and the home with three floors has no oval windows but why let a little detail like that discourage ABC from running with the pictures. There is a brick wall no there is a concrete wall with concertina wire not it is brick beside an alley, etc. They cannot even get the wall right so why are we surprised at anything else out of the media not to mention the White House who has been rewriting the script.

The chopper story keeps morhping as well -- they cannot even get the number right -- went from 4 to 2 back to 4 with one down and then to 2 plus they had to fly in a Chinook. One picture has the backyard all burnt and kind of looks like a chopper was set afire after being blown up but there is no hole in the fence and no hole in the ground if it was exploded. But wait a few days later the "quick growing grass" now covers up the burnt area. ABC seems to be in full cover mode for Obama which makes us wonder why.

We cannot even find out the truth from this media when it is obvious that Obama doesn't have the backbone to order a kill team into action. Sad day for America that a person like Obama can be elected President who is not a 'natural' born citizen and the media are not up in arms. What if all of this comedy central on Bin Laden had happened with President Bush. Congress would have been calling for his impeachment but when it comes to Obama crickets are chirping.

Obama White House has Trouble with Facts on Bin Laden Mission

Does anyone believe what the Obama White House has to say any more? They seem to be all about photo ops and nothing more.

Bin Laden raid: Obama plagued by more exposure
May 5th, 2011 7:13 am ET
By Jim Kouri

In his interview with PBS, Mr Panetta said, "Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information."

Panetta also told PBS that the U.S. Navy Seals made the final decision to kill bin Laden rather than the president.
A dramatic photograph showing Obama and his team watching special forces soldiers attack Osama bin Laden's Pakistani hideout on a TV monitor may be just another political photo op to prop up a failing president, according to White House critics. The TV screen was blank during the entire operation, according to Panetta.

With Leon Panetta almost certain to become the next Secretary of Defense in the Obama cabinet, yesterday some wondered if he'll continue to be the real Maverick in the current Administration and speak his mind, or will he adhere to the administration's agenda.

While President Barack Obama's national security team are fully equipped each day with their White House "talking points," Panetta appears to value clarity and accuracy in his statements.

For example, Panetta admitted yesterday that there was no live video footage of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound as further doubts emerged about the U.S. version of events.

Excerpt: Read More at the Washington Examiner
We first find out that the photo of Obama speaking to the American people on Sunday night was staged -- photojournalist were kept out of the room until he made his speech and then let back in to reenact the scene. One small problem arose when the photo journalists sent out the photo of Obama speaking but didn't bother to alert the papers it wasn't a live shot. We might not know if Reuters and a few others hadn't spilled the story.  That was the first staged photo op story released but it gets worse.

Now we learn that photo the White House released where Obama and others of his Administration were watching the live take down of Obama is a fake also. There was no video available after the SEALS entered Bin Laden's residence for 20-25 minutes so there was no way Obama and the others saw Bin Laden shot.  Hillary now says her hands on her mouth was because of a cough.  Yeah right!

The idea that CIA Director Panetta ordered the mission is making more sense by the hour as the White House has had more different versions out then you can keep track of since the mission. One of the most outlandish lies was the one that Bin Laden's wife was shielding him when it turned out not only to be false but the people in that room didn't see the video to identify the wife. That didn't stop the counterintelligence head Brennan from saying that Bin Laden hid behind his wife which turned out not to be true. The fact that Brennan works in counterintelligence makes you wonder at the obvious mistruths (lies) he told as he tried to bolster up Obama. He failed miserably.

The worst WH press secretary we can remember, Jay Carney, calls it a 'Fog of War' which makes no sense. This was one mission and if Obama hadn't been so quick to want to take credit for something he didn't do and have his staff try to convince everyone he still walked on water, the mistakes would not have happened. This was the worst example of spin from the White House we may have witnessed in years. Several times I was writing an article and had to change it because the WH storyline changed. Felt like a movie script instead of reality.

The Obama Administration sent out invites to 50 'specially chosen' 9/11 families with emails addressed to 'Dear 9/11 Family Member' -- no wonder he didn't give a speech. What was he going to say since he was part of the Blame America crowd back when he was an IL State Senator? A reminder of some of his remarks:

"We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity or suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, it may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics.

"Most often, though, it grows out a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.

"We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad. We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle-Eastern descent. Finally, we will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe – children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and within our own shores."
Remember the first time I read the above remarks during the 2000 campaign and these particular words jumped out at me:

"Most often, though, it grows out a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.
All I could think of was that Bin Laden came from a family of privilege in Saudi Arabia not even close to poverty. Likewise other terrorists also came from families of wealth but here was Obama trying to make this about poverty and the poor downtrodden as he lectured this Country eight days after 9/11. He has never refuted those words to our knowledge and would bet he believes the same today after ordering a 50-minute Muslim burial ceremony within 24 hours for Bin Laden at sea on the USS Carl Vinson. Did Obama have a gun salute as well as some sites have alleged? Found that whole burial episode completely distasteful.

Now we have Obama and his mouthpieces spinning like crazy on this mission and finally he said no more comments from the White House and today didn't give a speech at Ground Zero. Why not? This is the same man who released those pictures from the Iraqi prison to incite the people in the Middle East that says he doesn't want to release the photos of Bin Laden. Obama put the photos of Bin Laden off limits after Panetta said they would be released. Guess this time he doesn't have a Republican to blame unless it is Secretary of Defense Gates who just wants OUT of this Administration. Obama is also the person who said it was okay to film caskets of American soldiers.

This Administration makes you dizzy with all the spinning!

Larry Elder: Bush Led, Bin Laden Dead

It was a good feeling this morning to read this article by Larry Elder which reinforces our discussions that Bin Laden would not have been found and killed without the investigative techniques used by the Bush Administration following 9/11. Obama has closed some of those interrogation camps which we think is a wrong move. At one time AG Holder and Obama wanted to close GITMO (probably still do) and try the terrorists in the United States after giving them Miranda Rights. Since when do we give terrorists the rights of US Citizens?

It is still hard to believe that Obama ordered that Bin Laden be buried in a Muslim ceremony before being lowered into the sea. Why? Is his Muslim heritage why he had so much trouble making a decision to send a 'kill' team to Pakistan to take out Bin Laden? Maybe it is time for the non-natural born, ineligible to be President Obama to admit he is way over his head as President and step down. But then that would mean giving up the perks. What happens if terrorists hit this Country again with Obama as President? Will he cower in the closet? It is a sad day for America to have a President who cannot make up his mind and has people working for him that even tried to spin this action to make him look better.

With so many wrong stories out of the White House on the action, we have to believe that Obama was not involved in the planning or in giving his approval since it seems he and Valerie Jarrett were opposed to the mission no matter what manner they used.

If the rumors coming out of the White House are true (we believe they are), the actual mission was ordered by CIA Director Panetta, Secretary of Defense Gates, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with Panetta leading the mission. We are very thankful to those three for standing up and ordering a 'kill' mission to take out Bin Laden. We see no problem with the order since the Executive Order signed by President Bush after 9/11 was still in place.

President Bush and his team led the way to get Bin Laden which even former Speaker Pelosi recognized with her call to the former President to congratulate him.

Elder: Bush Led, Bin Laden Dead
By Larry Elder May 5, 2011 6:30 am

Osama bin Laden was a) killed by a unit overseen by what New Yorker reporter Seymour Hersh denounced as Vice President Dick Cheney's "executive assassination ring," which was b) sent into action based on intel derived from the now-outlawed "enhanced interrogation techniques," which were c) used on detainees captured during the George W. Bush administration, who were d) being held in now-outlawed "secret prisons" or in the intended-to-be-closed Gitmo.

President Obama's deputy national security advisor, John Brennan, confirmed that the death of bin Laden resulted from "a mosaic (of intelligence) appearing over time and by ... people who have been following bin Laden for many, many years." This explains why 81 percent of Republicans give former President George W. Bush "at least some of the credit" for bin Laden's death. U.S. security forces tracked and were able to kill bin Laden through the use of the discredited, maligned, and -- in some cases -- the discontinued terror-fighting policies and practices of Bush.

So how much credit do Democrats give Bush?

Not much. Only 35 percent of Democrats, according to The Washington Post, believe that Bush deserves "at least some of the credit." Yet Obama took advantage of policies the left attacked -- at least under Bush -- as wrong, illegal and immoral.

"Enhanced interrogation techniques" -- The Washington Post's associate editor and foreign affairs columnist, David Ignatius, writes, "Some of the detainees (who gave information that led to bin Laden's location) were subjected to 'enhanced interrogation techniques,' the CIA's formal name for what is now widely viewed as torture."

Gitmo and secret prisons, aka "black sites" (now closed by Obama) -- "The revelation," writes The Associated Press, "that intelligence gleaned from the CIA's so-called black sites helped kill bin Laden was seen as vindication for many intelligence officials who have been repeatedly investigated and criticized for their involvement in a program that involved the harshest interrogation methods in U.S. history."

Rendition, the practice of moving a detainee to a country with more severe interrogation policies -- "Current and former U.S. officials," according to The Associated Press, "say that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, provided the nom de guerre of one of bin Laden's most trusted aides. The CIA got similar information from Mohammed's successor, Abu Faraj al-Libi. Both were subjected to harsh interrogation tactics inside CIA prisons in Poland and Romania."

Bush-Cheney "executive assassination ring" -- Navy SEAL Team Six is part of the Joint Special Operations Command. Two years ago, The New Yorker's Pulitzer prize-winning Hersh denounced the JSOC by calling it Bush-Cheney's "executive assassination ring": "It is a special wing of our special operations community that is set up independently. They do not report to anybody, except in the Bush-Cheney days ... they reported directly to the Cheney office. ... Congress has no oversight of it. It's an executive assassination ring, essentially. ... That's been going on, in the name of all of us."

Who ordered the Mission to Kill Bin Laden?

The first article comes from Roger Simon at the Pajamas Media Tatler site. Roger Simon who heads Pajamas Media is honest and has integrity which is a rare commodity these days in journalism.

Found the Simon link after the original link was forwarded last night that was posted at Socyberty.com. Then after that discovered another site with further information about the Bin Laden mission that plus details of the ongoing fight between Valerie Jarrett and Clinton installed Chief of Staff Daley. Those reading who don't think Clinton installed Daley, then I have swampland for sale in Arizona.

All of this makes total sense and could be why the stories keep changing on almost a hourly basis out of this White House. If it is true, the media need to quit covering for Obama and tell the truth for a change. Since he is not a 'natural' born citizen this could all be over with him stepping aside and not running for office. We thought it was out of character for him to order this action especially after it came out he took 16 hours to make a decision.

He is in his golf clothes in the picture below so this makes sense he was called in while playing golf after the operation had commenced. Rumor has it that Jarrett and Obama scrubbed the mission the night before due to weather when the weather wasn't a factor. Could that be why he was so arrogant and snarky at the correspondent's dinner -- he scrubbed the mission. Obama goes golfing the next day figuring everyone has lined up behind him and he was wrong.

Will some reporters in DC actually do the investigation into these alleged rumors? Why do the media keep defending Obama? Just use the natural born and get him out of office. Having someone like this who even thinks of playing golf on this weekend, is frightening to most Americans.

Do we have another Deep Throat like we had for Woodward and Bernstein who couldn't take it any more and started leaking who is in the White House?

Leon Panetta, not Obama, issued order to kill bin Laden?
Was it Leon Panetta – not a waffling Barack Obama, supported in his indecision by Valerie Jarett – who finally ordered the assassination of bin Laden. We don’t know the truth of this. We weren’t there. But a “White House insider” quoted on Socybrty says the following:

Q: You stated that President Obama was “overruled” by military/intelligence officials regarding the decision to send in military specialists into the Osama Bin Laden compound. Was that accurate?

A: I was told – in these exact terms, “we overruled him.” (Obama) I have since followed up and received further details on exactly what that meant, as well as the specifics of how Leon Panetta worked around the president’s “persistent hesitation to act.” There appears NOT to have been an outright overruling of any specific position by President Obama, simply because there was no specific position from the president to do so. President Obama was, in this case, as in all others, working as an absentee president.

I was correct in stating there had been a push to invade the compound for several weeks if not months, primarily led by Leon Panetta, Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates, David Petraeus, and Jim Clapper. The primary opposition to this plan originated from Valerie Jarrett, and it was her opposition that was enough to create uncertainty within President Obama. Obama would meet with various components of the pro-invasion faction, almost always with Jarrett present, and then often fail to indicate his position. This situation continued for some time, though the division between Jarrett/Obama and the rest intensified more recently, most notably from Hillary Clinton. She was livid over the president’s failure to act, and her office began a campaign of anonymous leaks to the media indicating such. As for Jarrett, her concern rested on two primary fronts. One, that the military action could fail and harm the president’s already weakened standing with both the American public and the world. Second, that the attack would be viewed as an act of aggression against Muslims, and further destabilize conditions in the Middle East.

There’s more of this astounding report at the link. Who knows? But it would account for why this took so long to happen.

Did Senior Military/Intelligence Officials Overrule President Obama Regarding Mission to Kill Osama Bin Laden?
Published by Ulsterman on May 2, 2011 in US Politics

A reluctant American president who was ultimately overridden by senior military and intelligence officials to finally take out terrorist Osama Bin Laden…

Note: This communication came from our long time D.C. Insider and details previous and ongoing conflicts surrounding the decision to assassinate terrorist Osama Bin Laden. This has been reproduced here as originally communicated to us.

Please get this out ASAP. Want specific people to know we know.

RE Osama Bin Laden. Significant push to take him out months ago. Senior WH staff resisted. This was cause of much strain between HC and Obama/Jarrett. HC and LP were in constant communication over matter – both attempted to convince administration to act. Administration feared failure and resulting negative impact on president. Intel disgusted over politics over national security. Staff resigned/left. Check timeline to corroborate.

The Ulsterman Report: Obama Parties and Golfs Shortly Before Killing of Osama Bin LadenWe Need a Winning Formulae in Nigeria – Politicians » Now Intel already leaking to media facts surrounding how info obtained. Namely from enhanced interrogation efforts via GITMO prisoners. Obama administration placed in corner on this. Some media aware of danger to president RE this and attempting protection. Others looking for further investigation. We are pushing for them to follow through and already meeting with some access.

Point of determination made FOR Obama not BY Obama. Will clarify as details become more clear. Very clear divide between Military and WH. Jarrett marginalized 100% on decision to take out OBL. She played no part. BD worked with LP and HC to form coalition to force CoC to engage.

IMPORTANT SPECIFIC: When 48 hour go order issued, CoC was told, not requested. Administration scrambled to abort. That order was overruled. This order did not originate from CoC. Repeat – this order did not originate from CoC. He complied, but did not originate.

Independent military contacts have confirmed. Stories corroborate one another. This is legit.

The killing of Osama Bin Laden was in fact a Coup within Obama WH.

Speaking with additional contacts RE info.

Stay safe.

Computer screens are blank and a one star Air Force General is sitting in the President's Chair?  It was released by Panetta that they did not witness the shooting of Bin Laden so why did chief of counter terrorism adviser John Brennan  say that Bin Laden's wife was put in front of him as protection when they never saw the video or that Bin Laden had a gun and then didn't have a gun.   This whole deal has stunk from day one.  The great news is that Bin Laden is dead.

We expect to get more details in the days ahead but if this turns out to be true, then Panetta, Gates, and Hillary Clinton were acting under the EO signed by former President Bush and the joint resolutions by Congress authorizing all means to get Bin Laden and we applaud the three for standing up.

As for Valerie Jarrett and her ongoing war with Chief of Staff Daley she needs to tell Obama that the fight is over and the two of them along with Michelle ride off into the sunset. Don't care what excuse Obama uses including the Constitutional Law professor didn't realize he wasn't eligible to run.  I will buy it as long as he is out of the White House and takes Jarrett with him.

Guess my sources were right that Jarrett was in charge of the White House which I have been alluding to for some time after Emanuel left. In fact would bet that Bill Clinton sized up Obama for what he was, and why Bill Daley is Chief of Staff to run things. Rumors keep surfacing that Obama is having trouble concentrating so it is time to end the charade and tell the American people the truth. Country came before Party with Republicans when they told Nixon he had to resign and Country should come before Party with Obama. Are Democrats finally going to go to Obama and tell him he needs to leave?   Is this why Pelosi called President George W. Bush to congratulate him?

Are there no Woodward and Bernstein journalists who want to do our Nation a service?  The American people have a right to know the truth if the Insider is giving us the facts. We don't see anything to be gained by someone leaking this except to put an end to the Administration of a man who is unable to handle being President which we have already figured out. We have been guessing for a long time who was pulling the strings. Recently I was sure it was Jarrett long before all this came out. More on Valerie Jarrett in the days ahead.

Obama took SIXTEEN HOURS to make up his mind about Bin Laden mission

Why did it take 16 hours for Obama to give the go ahead to kill Bin Laden by attacking his compound where they knew he was staying? We have also learned that the military wanted to use a stealth bomber four months ago to take out the compound but Obama vetoed that move. WHY?

We are having a real problem with the fact that four helicopters cross into Pakistani air space going at least 100 miles into the country undetected. Do we now have stealth helicopters? They have on a 40-minute firefight, only one neighbor tweets and the nearby military installation does nothing or the local cops? Then they have to evacuate people living where the helicopter went down before they blew it up and no one in Pakistan noticed?  Then the helicopters fly back across Pakistan to Kabul before flying the body to the Carl Vinson in the Arabian Sea for burial? At least that is the story the White House wants us to believe about Pakistan today.  It could change in a couple of hours which has been happening since this was first announced.

We are not talking a civilian town but a town of 100,000 filled with military and their families and they noticed nothing? Washington Post reports:
At the time of the raid, bin Laden was at his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, a military and tourist town of about 100,000 people. The compound was located in a neighborhood populated by military families one mile from the elite Pakistan Military Academy.
If Pakistan air defenses are this bad, the US has not gotten its money's worth from all the aid.  Four helicopters flying in from ? and no detection.  Here is a map from the Washington Post of the flight of Bin Laden's body:

We are told it was a 40-minute firefight but they were only on the ground for 38 minutes. Does that mean after two minutes they landed the SEAL Team? Some of the story has changed quite a bit including the comments from mouthpiece of the Obama administration at the press conference today.

Are members of the White House Press Corps going to ask the tough questions or are the British papers who have been doing the investigations going to continue to supply Americans with the facts our own media ignore?

President 'slept on it' as tense military chiefs awaited decision

Action started the next morning when Obama declared 'it's a go'

Mission delayed by one day after heavy cloud cover on Saturday night

Navy seals dodged Pakistani security to reach Bin Laden's lair

Outpouring of emotion on streets down to 'the same sense of unity that prevailed on 9/11' Obama told members of Congress
Barack Obama kept military commanders hanging by declaring he would 'sleep on it' before taking 16 hours to give the go-ahead to raid Bin Laden's compound.

Hit squads of specialist Navy Seals - who were not even told who they were preparing to capture - had practised the mission at two reconstructions of the terror chiefs sprawling compound.

The mission looked set to be given the all clear last Thursday when analysts confirmed beyond doubt that Bin Laden was in busy town of Abbottabad in northern Pakistan.

But the president stunned officials when he told a national security meeting that he wanted more time to think - and disappeared out of the room.

'I'm not going to tell you what my decision is now - I'm going to go back and think about it some more,' said Obama, according to the New York Times. He then added 'I'm going to make a decision soon.'
The head of the CIA and other senior intelligence officers who were keen to proceed were left tense as they waited for the president's decision.

But the next morning after 16 hours, Obama summoned four top aides to the White House Diplomatic Room. Before they could speak, the president put his fist on the table and declared 'It's a go'.
With those three words, the greatest military operation in recent history began. Had it not been for heavy cloud cover on Saturday, troops would have been deployed then.

But they waited another day, and reached Pakistan just before midnight on Sunday evening. Obama refused to tell Pakistan about the mission in case it was leaked by jihadist sympathisers within the administration and Bin Laden took flight.

As the time has gone by and more and more Obama people speak out, the stories are changing at a rapid pace.  I was writing on this blog when one of the stories I was going to use changed.  This afternoon one news outlet is saying two helicopters and another outlets says four were used with one that went down with mechanical difficulty which still find hard to believe that these special helicopters were not in tip top shape to make this trip.

What will be the latest news on this in the next 24 hours?  Stay tuned as the Administration tries to get its stories straight.  Obama and his inept Administration have managed to take the spectacular news of Bin Laden being dead and have made people like us start to question their stories because they never are just straightforward as they make no sense to anyone who has been around the military.

LA Times: Osama bin Laden dead: Yes, SEALs were in on the raid, but aides hail Obama's office bravery

There is no better example of lack of class then what has happened with the killing of Osama Bin Laden then this from the Los Angeles Times:

Here's something else that didn't get much recognition in all the street celebrations or all-hail-Obama briefings:

The trail to Monday morning's assault on Osama's Pakistan compound began during someone else's presidency. That previous president authorized enhanced interrogation techniques which convinced folks like Khalid Shaikh Mohammed to give up, among many other things, the name of their top-secret courier, now deceased. His travels ultimately led the CIA back to Osama's six-year-old suburban home.
On this 'tense' filled weekend Obama managed to play nine holes of golf and that night gave out zingers at the White House Correspondent's Dinner? Very tense much more so then the Navy Seals performing the mission. (sarcasm) Just what is the National Security Advisor Brennan and others trying to spin for Obama. They cannot even get their stories straight.

Last night it comes out that Bin Laden's wife(s) was not used as a shield in front of him. If you are watching on a 'closed' circuit feed, couldn't you see that with your own two eyes? Was the feed live? How do you know from this White House who would rather spin then tell the truth. Pretty big spin to say his wife was in front of him when he was shot and find out that was not the case within hours.

Why bury Bin Laden's body at sea with a Muslim burial within 24 hours? He wasn't killed at sea and per Muslim rules he was to be buried on land with his head facing Mecca. Why give the man behind the Cole bombing and other terrorists acts as head of Al Qaeda a Muslim burial service before putting him into the Arabian Sea within 24 hours from the Navy ship the Carl Vinson? Makes no sense that we would honor any Muslim tradition when it came to Obama. If you are going to bury him at sea, dump him from the Chopper.

Don't get me wrong, I am extremely happy that Bin Laden is dead but it would be nice to get the truth for a change and would have been better if Obama had been willing to give President Bush and his team the credit for the initial break from intelligence interrogation. It was once again all about Obama with his aides pushing him as being so brave (in the office) while virtually ignoring our Navy SEALS who risked their lives.

Now Obama makes a political trip to NYC on Thursday to tie up their traffic. If he wasn't so much about himself and his reelection, he would have invited President Bush to go with him to Ground Zero of 9/11. Class act has never been in the vocabulary when talking about Obama.

Osama bin Laden dead: Yes, SEALs were in on the raid, but aides hail Obama's office braveryMay 2, 2011 | 2:42 pm

According to another one of those White House briefings of reporters designed to suck up all available credit for good news, President Obama's homeland security advisor reveals that it was a really tense time in the air-conditioned White House as unidentified U.S. Navy SEALs closed in on the world's most wanted man after midnight a half a world away.

"Minutes passed like days," says John Brennan, who bravely stood with press secretary Jay Carney before reporters and TV cameras today chronicling his boss' weekend heroics.

The heavily-armed commandos flying in a quartet of darkened Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters more than 100 miles into Pakistan were probably listening to their iPods and discussing the NFL draft.

"The concern was that bin Laden would oppose any type of capture operation," said Obama's Sherlock Holmes. So U.S. troops were prepared "for all contingencies."

In fact, this weekend was such a tense time in the White House that Obama only got in nine holes of golf. But he still managed to deliver his joke script to the White House Correspondents Assn. dinner Saturday evening.

Sunday was, Brennan revealed to his eager audience, "probably one of the most anxiety-filled periods of times in the lives of the people assembled here." Poor poor bureaucrats. Extra Tums all around. Did someone order dinner?

There may have been a little anxiety aboard those combat choppers. Who knows? We can't hear from them. And, as every day, anxiety in the kitchens, hearts and mind of thousands of military families who put up with the terrifying uncertainty of the dangerous deeds their loved ones have volunteered to secretly do for their country. During his 49 minute presentation Brennan did squeeze in one reference to the mission's "very brave personnel."

But the emphasis, with 2012 just around the calendrical corner, was on the boss' valor. "There was nothing that confirmed that bin Laden was at that compound," Brennan related as if such uncertainty is uncommon in war.

"And, therefore," Brennan continued, "when President Obama was faced with the opportunity to act upon this, the president had to evaluate the strength of that information and then made what I believe was one of the most gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory."

According to early reports of the incident, detailed here in The Ticket, 24 SEALs rappelled down ropes from hovering Chinooks in post-midnight darkness Monday Pakistan time with Osama security forces shooting at them. Brennan didn't have much time to go into all that today, the goal is to elevate the ex-state senator to at least a one-star commander-in-chief.

There is something about all of this that bothers me and that was the fact Obama knew this was going down and chose last week to release the birth certificate.  Why?  When 'natural' born versus 'native' born was actually being discussed, the raid to kill Bin Laden happens that next weekend. With the people Obama surrounds himself with in the White House, we have no doubt that everything this man done is for political purposes as he knows nothing else. The trip to Ground Zero during a work day on Thursday says it is not only political but all of this operation was about him according to his staff. He gives little credit to anyone if it doesn't help him politically.  The leadership has been unable to get their stories straight which we don't understand.  At times this seems like a movie ready for Take 2.

Yet he wants the same bi-partisanship that happened with the killing of Bin Laden to continue on his agenda. At the same time he refuses to recognize President Bush and his team along with the interrogation techniques that discovered the link to Bin Laden that eventually took him down. It is only bi-partisan when everyone agrees with Obama.

We don't want anyone to think we are not happy that Bin Ladin is dead but changing stories along with releasing info that should have remained classified makes us wonder about this operation on the part of the White House.  Praise keeps going to Obama for being brave when he sat in an office while the Navy Seals were in the field.  Not sitting well but once again why should we be shocked by this Obama media?  They are in full cover mode no matter what Obama says.

Has Bin Laden been hiding out in the Islamabad area since 2005/2006 when this house was built?

From various reports, we have discovered that intelligence officials believed the $1 million home was custom-built to harbor a major terrorist. With all the information available to the CIA they finally were convinced it was Bin Laden right there in a fairly new compound in a military town. Some cave -- over a $1M home is pretty comfortable. Should have been a tip off when it had no phone or internet. The great news is that Bin Laden is Dead! We would bet that some of the Pakistani's knew who was living in that compound and kept the information to themselves.
Close to Islamabad, hideout was only streets away from Pakistan's SandhurstAbbottabad, a quiet military town in the Himalayan foothills, housed Osama bin Laden for many years

guardian.co.uk,

Residents of Abbottabad might be forgiven for feeling confused . When they went to bed, theirs was a tidy, bucolic little place – a town of soldiers and schools, tucked into the foothills of the Himalayas, just a two-hour drive north of Islamabad.

When they awoke, it had turned into something dark and notorious: the rumbled hideout of the world's most wanted man, killed in a hail of gunfire by American special forces soldiers just a few hours earlier.

The target was a house that, from the outside, appeared to differ little from the other homes in this well-to-do neighbourhood: two-and three-storey buildings, not exactly mansions, but spacious and well-appointed.

Two men stared at the square, three-storey house in a well-to-do suburb, now swarming with soldiers and police, trying hard to make sense of it all.

Is former Vice President Dick Cheney responsible for the Navy SEAL Team who took out Bin Laden in a firefight, at close range, or in between in this $1M compound in a Pakistani military town about an hour north of Islamabad.   According to liberal writers over the years he is responsible for this SEAL Team Six.  Makes no difference as Bin Laden is dead but the fact that this is the group that liberal writer Seymour Hersh and others claimed was Cheney's Personal Assassination Squad over the years makes us wonder what Hersh and others are going to write now. Probably be full of praise for Obama who promised to close GITMO, stop all interrogations and bring the prisoners to the United States.  Will they now ignore Cheney and the interrogations at GITMO who led to Bin Laden.

Seriously though, Dick Cheney has forgotten more about such operations then this group will ever know. The source of the information tracks back to 2006 long before Obama took office. This crack squad of Navy Seals are ready and waiting at anytime to go where ordered. It will be interesting to see what took place between August of 2010 and yesterday when Team Six was launched to kill Bin Laden in his residence near Islamabad, Pakistan.

Reminder: Group that Killed Bin Laden was Smeared as Dick Cheney's 'Assasination Ring'
1:19 PM, May 2, 2011 • By MARK HEMINGWAY

It's been reported that bin Laden was killed by SEAL Team Six, officially known as Naval Special Warfare Development Group or DevGru. Marc Ambinder has a good report that fills in some of the particulars:

DevGru belongs to the Joint Special Operations Command, an extraordinary and unusual collection of classified standing task forces and special-missions units. They report to the president and operate worldwide based on the legal (or extra-legal) premises of classified presidential directives. Though the general public knows about the special SEALs and their brothers in Delta Force, most JSOC missions never leak. We only hear about JSOC when something goes bad (a British aid worker is accidentally killed) or when something really big happens (a merchant marine captain is rescued at sea), and even then, the military remains especially sensitive about their existence. Several dozen JSOC operatives have died in Pakistan over the past several years. Their names are released by the Defense Department in the usual manner, but with a cover story -- generally, they were killed in training accidents in eastern Afghanistan. That’s the code.
Under Bush, JSOC was routinely smeared by the left and placed at the center of many Bush/Cheney conspiracy theories. Specifically, New Yorker reporter Seymour Hersh alleged it was Dick Cheney's personal assassination squad:

After 9/11, I haven't written about this yet, but the Central Intelligence Agency was very deeply involved in domestic activities against people they thought to be enemies of the state. Without any legal authority for it. They haven't been called on it yet."

Hersh then went on to describe a second area of extra-legal operations: the Joint Special Operations Command. "It is a special wing of our special operations community that is set up independently," he explained. "They do not report to anybody, except in the Bush-Cheney days, they reported directly to the Cheney office. ... Congress has no oversight of it."

"It's an executive assassination ring essentially, and it's been going on and on and on," Hersh stated. "Under President Bush's authority, they've been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving. That's been going on, in the name of all of us."
Now that a Democratic President has employed JSOC to take out Osama bin Laden, will the fever swamps of the left continue to assert that it's just a Bush/Cheney plot to run around unjustifiably killing people?

Source: The Weekly Standard
We keep hearing remarks we assume is from the left on the Executive Orders preventing the assassination of people in other countries but in research we found the following that would back up a kill squad ordered by Obama although we think the choice of words were not very smart:

On Friday, September 14, 2001, both the House and the Senate passed joint resolutions, S.J.Res. 23 and H.J.Res. 64, authorizing the President to “use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized,
committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.”18 In addition, the “Congress declares that this section is intended to constitute specific statutory uthorization
within the meaning of section 5(b) of the War Powers Resolution.”19 S. J. Res 23 was signed by the President, and became P.L. 107-40, 115 Stat. 224 (Sept. 18, 2001). This law makes no explicit reference to the ssassination ban in E.O. 12333, section 2.11. However, if the assassination ban were to be interpreted to cover U.S. responses to terrorist attacks on U.S.
soil, the breadth of the authority provided by these joint resolutions might be viewed as sufficient, insofar as U.S. responses to the events of September 11, 2001 are concerned, to encompass actions that might otherwise be prohibited under the assassination ban. Other legislation has been introduced to expressly revoke the express prohibition against
assassination in the Ford, Carter, and Reagan executive orders. See, e.g., H.R. 19 (introduced 1/3/01 and referred to House Committee on International Relations).

Osama Bin Laden got what he deserved and let this be a lesson to others that sooner or later America will take out its enemies who have attacked America.

Thank you President Bush and Vice President Cheney for insisting that the terrorist prisoners be interrogated at GITMO which led to the information used for the killing of Osama Bin Laden.  Thanks also to CNN for not blowing the lid on the information when they had it in their possession last year.  All we can say about the President is that it was a good thing he didn't keep the promise to close GITMO and allowed the CIA and military to do their job.  Now would be a good time to stop some of the spinning on this coming out of the White House.  All we need are the facts not spin.
