Senator Elect Marco Rubio's 'Exceptional America' versus Obama's 'Decline of US Dominance'



The contrast between Marco Rubio and Barack Obama is nothing short of astounding. While Marco Rubio talks about American Exceptionalism and how we have to protect it for our children and grandchildren, Obama is in India saying we are no longer a dominant country:

MUMBAI: Implicitly acknowledging the decline of American dominance, Barack Obama on Sunday said the US was no longer in a position to "meet the rest of the world economically on our terms". Speaking at a town hall meeting in Mumbai, he said, "I do think that one of the challenges that we are going face in the US, at a time when we are still recovering from the financial crisis is, how do we respond to some of the challenges of globalisation?" (Times of India)
Senator-Elect Rubio talks about American Exceptionalism and is ready to roll up his sleeves to get to work in the US Senate to help turn the Country around from failed policies of the last few years and the trek toward socialism that Obama and his progressive Democrats under Pelosi have been taking America. Obama continues to trash America on foreign soil. Has he made one visit where he has not trashed America? 

An absolute contrast which reminds of Ronald Reagaon with his positive outlook on America running against Jimmy Carter who was as negative as you could get about America.  Cannot feature being a pessimist and not looking at every day as new day that is going to get better. These Democrat apologists for America need to get a clue about what a great Country we have had the privilege of living, some of us by birth and others by choice. That remarkable statute which sits in the New York Harbor has welcomed so many coming to America who have come to find a better place to live.

With all that is great about America that is pointed out by Marco Rubio, we have Democrats like Obama trashing America at every turn.  How can a person not be moved looking at the Statute of Liberty and realize that America is an Exceptional Country who has opened its doors to citizens from the around world who over the years have made America great.  Now we have a leader who doesn't understand much about America, our faith, our love of Country, our core values, or our hope for a better tomorrow so he trashes our beliefs and our Country on foreign soil not just in America.

Even with the huge defeat of Democrats in the House and Republicans taking six new Senate seats when Republicans had the most at stake in the Senate, a lot of the progressives like Pelosi don't understand Americans and the message we were sending. They think Americans are saying they didn't go far enough.  About went through the roof when that became the reason they think they lost the election -- they still are not listening to the American people.  Pelosi wants to be Minority Leader and try to ram more of her agenda through but it is not going to happen as this time any Blue Dogs who survived will vote against her and her agenda along with the Republicans.

Remember when President Bush on September 14, 2001, took the bullhorn at the site of 911 and said "I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you! And the people—and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!"


Maybe John Boehner needs a bullhorn on behalf of the American people to ask Pelosi and her Progressive stupporters in Congress -- "Do You Hear Us Now?" We have to wonder if Obama and the Progressives like Pelosi actually believe the defeat they just suffered in the mid-terms was because they lunged to the left or do they honestly think going farther left is the answer.  If so, they are delusional beyond anything we have seen.

We want to make perfectly clear we were not happy with the economic situation during the last six months of the Bush Administration or with the Republican Congress in 2005-2006 as they started spending tax dollars like there was no end. That said, they cannot hold a candle to what has happened since the Democrats took control of Congress in 2006 and overwhelmingly took control in 2008 when Obama became President. Spending and takeover of private enterprise has created a nightmare in the march of the Progressive Democrats toward socialism, but they are saying they haven't completed the takeover while the American people said very loudly on November 2nd -- NO MORE LIBERAL AGENDA!

We have never witnessed a President who goes overseas and trashes America like Obama. Frankly we wish that Congress would clip his wings so he had to stay in the White House and quit making a fool of him and this Country in foreign nations. Does the White House even have a travel budget?

We must admit are going to enjoy seeing Pelosi have to say good bye to her plane. Thought she was going to retire if she lost the Speaker's Gavel -- that didn't last long. Next she will want a plane as Minority Leader. Going to be great seeing her in the audience not in the Speaker's Chair during the State of the Union.

While Rubio thinks America is the greatest Country in the World with the most opportunities, Obama goes around criticizing what he perceives is wrong with America while he is on foreign soil. He has done everything possible to tank our economy and then continues to blame America.

We go back to the original premise that Obama no matter where he was born was not raised like the average American. His bending over backwards for Islam is a perfect example trying to rewrite history of this Country. Then we have him speaking to Hispanics telling them to vote against their enemy (Republicans) or how Republicans need to go to the back of the bus but now wants Republicans to work with him? Of course he does as long as they go along with what he wants.

Will the media report fairly on what is happening in Congress starting on January 3rd or will they continue to spin and cover for the Progressive Democrats. The jury is still out on that one.

Obama besides being lazy has no real experience of any kind and it shows more all the time. Add to his thin skin and it is a prescription for disaster. He has no idea of the greatness of America and doesn't seem like he wants to learn. Maybe after his one term, he will get it but we have our doubts.

Senator-Elect Marco Rubio Gives Republican Saturday Address



Hearing Senator-Elect and come January Senator Marco Rubio was definitely one of the bright spots of this election. His overwhelming win in a 3-way race in Florida said it all and looking forward to his star rising in the Senate. Some people never understood that Marco Rubio is all about standing on principle and doesn't waiver. When we started supporting him, had people tell me I was nuts that Charlie Crist was going to win. Who is nuts now. Looks to us like Rubio won his race overwhelmingly and Charlie Crist came in a distant second.

This has been one of the favorite races to cover along with Mary Fallin, Governor-Elect of Oklahoma. Supported Rick Perry, the Governor of Texas in the primary but we never believed the pollsters who thought it would be a close race with White. It wasn't going to happen. Governor Perry has been an awesome Governor for Texas and not afraid to stand up to Obama and the Democrats. Mary Fallin will be the same for Oklahoma. Marco Rubio will be joining our two Oklahoma Senators Inhofe and Coburn in their fight to stop the Obama agenda and start to roll it back.

Tuesday, November 2nd, was the day that the pull back of America from the far left trek toward socialism began and what a beginning. We will finish the job in 2012.

Republicans Take the House of Representatives with a least a 61-seat pick-up



Some of the pundits today who seem to want listeners to believe they know more than the people who were in charge during this election season and are now wondering less than 24 hours after the election if the Republicans will keep their word. You can take it to the bank when John Boehner gives a promise, he is going to keep that promise. The more I listened on the way back from Oklahoma City tonight, the more I couldn't believe what I was hearing from people on the radio telling us what to think.  Can think very clearly for myself.  For years I have felt that people on the East and West Coast don't have a clue about what makes us in Middle America tick.  Believe it is also true of some of the pundits and describes the disconnect about what they observe and what we do out here.  Those of us in Red State America were so happy this morning to see the maps of victories.  Red State America now surrounds Colorado so you can take it to the bank we are going to be working to bring it back Red.
Been a long time since I have been as proud of a group of people as I have the Republicans in the House these last two years. They were vastly outnumbered, couldn't stop a bill, but they never quit fighting for us, the American people. Vote after vote they might lose a few Republicans but 98% of the Republicans voted in lockstep to try and defeat the lurch toward socialism being carried out by Obama/Pelosi/Reid. When Obama had the summit with House and Senate leaders on Obamacare, the Republicans were the ones with the answers which seemed to infuriate Obama.

We have elected some very good leaders who understand in the House they are there due to the will of the American people as they represent us in the People's House.

The House recruited some AWESOME candidates and the ones that lost for the most part did not lose big except in very Democrat areas. We will challenge some of those seats in 2012 and hopefully win the next time around.  These races were won by the candidates who were willing to work hard and stand on conservative principles. Endorsements are nice but they don't win races -- good candidates do.

It was a great night for Republicans but as John Boehner said last night, it is no time to celebrate when 10% of your fellow citizens are out of work. A recurring theme for Republicans across the Country was it is time to roll up the sleeves, get to work, and get this Country moving forward again. Some of the most uplifting speeches were on the airwaves last night as Republicans who were victorious gave their thanks for the help they received in winning their races and about the job that lies ahead.

Weekly Republican Address: Boehner Calls For "New Way Forward" in Washington

November 2nd, 2010 -- ELECTION DAY in America



Today is the day we have been looking at for months to start the Take Back of our Country from the forces of liberalism and socialism.  Hope and Change Obama style is about to come to a screeching halt on January 3rd, 2011.  That is the day that Republicans will be taking control of control of the House and increase our majorities in the Senate if not take the Senate,  many Republican Governor's Offices across America starting right here in Oklahoma will be gearing up to swear in new Governors during January along with Legislatures across America being sworn in for a new term.
Every election we hear that this election is the most important in our lifetime.  For me this is the second time in my life that it is vitally important to take back control of the Congress especially the House and Governor's offices across America.  First was electing President Reagan in 1980 after four years of Carter who used to be at the top of the list for the worst modern era President until Obama came along.  It was important in 1994 to Take Back the House but Clinton was not the socialist wanna be like Obama.   What Obama has done to this Country in less than two years is absolutely frightening as people like Gene Taylor from Mississippi who was a moderate to conservative Democrat whose voting record on conservative issues went in the tank as Pelosi snapped her whip in the House.  We never thought we would see that happen with Taylor but we did.

We witnessed Ben Nelson (NE), Blanche Lincoln (AR), and Mary Landrieu (LA) sell their souls when they were bribed for goodies for their states in order to get their vote on Obamacare.   It is going to cost Lincolon her seat in AR if polls are even close to being right.  Nelson and Landrieu did not face reelection this year.  Russ Feingold (WI) went from being a Maverick to being one of the group of far left liberals with his voting and now we are poised to take that WI seat by a businessman Ron Johnson.  Even Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, is in a fight for his political life in Nevada along with Barbara Boxer (CA) and Patty Murry (WA). 

There are so many Democrats going to lose their seats tonight and for good reason -- they forgot who they represent.  Instead of representing the people of their states and districts, they decided to represent Obama/Pelosi/Reid and tell their constituents to go jump.  Now it is time for their constituents to rise up and tell them to go jump right to the unemployment line.

We have seen the rise of the Tea Party movement of many people across America who believe in the ideals of less taxes, smaller government, strong defense and homeland security, and strict constructionists judges who don't make up the law as they rule.  They decided that the far left lurch by Obama and the Congress was going to end on November 2nd and set out to help make it happen.  Finally the grassroots of the Republican Party had a voice that went nationwide.

We have witnessed Arizona and other states having to stand up for themselves on illegal immigration when the Obama Administration turned a blind eye to illegals and the crime they are now bringing across the border.  There are signs in Arizona warning people not to travel in the United States due to high crimes in parts of land next to the border. 

We saw voter intimidation from the New Black Panthers in 2008 swept under the rug after Eric Holder became Attorney General.

Then Obama Hope and Change reality struck as Pelosi and Reid and rammed through the huge stimulus to get the economy growing which failed miserably and only added to the national deficit, then came Cap and Trade in the House, takeover of General Motors and Chrysler, AIG, Banks, and the list goes on as Obama sought a power grab like has never been seen by this Country from a President.  Then the icing on the cake for the progressives aka socialist -- Obamacare which is the bill that Pelosi bragged you had to pass to find out what was in it -- we didn't like it before but as we have been learning about it, we like it even less.  It needs repealed and start at the beginning to fix the healthcare program in a responsible fashion -- short and to the point not 1,000 page bills.

Obama appers to be the laziest man to be President -- shows up late, leaves meetings early including on Afghanistan, jokes, watches ESPN, plays basketball and golfs, takes numerous vacations and trips on the taxpayer nickle and then calls us the 'enemy' and tells Republicans they need to go to the 'back of the bus!'  Mr. Obama can take his Hope and Change and shove it tonight because a new day is going to dawn on November 3rd when Republicans are not going to be so outnumbered in the Congress and we have many more Republican Governors. 

Obama better enjoy his lavish trip to India to escape the results of the election, because it is time House Republicans demanded accountability about his trips including his wife's this summer and in the future.  Pelosi seems to have given the White House a blank check for travel since she also uses an Air Force plane at will herself to travel.  Time the White House was put on a budget like the rest of us and Air Force One is shut down for his constant travel to get out of the White House.  Even Democrats are starting to say he is too lazy to be President.

Today is GET OUT THE VOTE, tonight is a time to celebrate and tomorrow is time to roll up our sleeves and support the people we have just elected to get the job done from the members of the Senate and House to statewide office holders to to our State Legislatures, and to our County officials.  All the elected officials need to know that we expect accountability and no blank checks.  We want smaller and more efficient government and actual transparency on bills and actions taken by our Government at all levels.  The blank check for Obama travel and parties at the White House needs to be the first to go.

We need the GOTV today across America to turn our Country back to the ideals of our Founding Fathers and away from the move toward socialism.  Vote Republican today to put our Conservative leaders of tomorrow in office.  Let's Take Back our Country TODAY!

John Boehner Fires Back at President Obama at GOP Rally in Cincinnati

Great news from the State of Ohio where we grew up -- GOP candidates are on the verge of turning Ohio back Red tomorrow!  We cannot think of a better thing to happen and so happy to see that Obama was finally outed for his trips into Ohio had more to do with him running in 2012 then with Strickland.  Obama can forget trying to say he meant 'opponent' as he said loud and very clear 'enemies' which a lot of us will never forget. 

Going to be AWESOME to see Ohio came back to Red State America in 2010 and also in 2012 as the new Republican Administration in Columbus cleans up voter fraud left behind by Obama's ACORN group along with years of Democrat voter fraud since they think a dead person voting is okay.

The prospect of saying Speaker of the House John Boehner gives me chills -- he is one of the finest men in the US House and the Congressman from our former House District in Ohio.  Looking forward to watching returns come in tomorrow night and see the House of Representatives flip to Bright RED! 

Good Luck tomorrow to every Republican running in Ohio and electing a team to bring the Ohio economy back from the abyss!

EAST END - House Minority Leader John Boehner, at a rally of GOP volunteers Monday evening in a Lunken Airport hangar, gave President Barack Obama a taste of what he can expect if the West Chester Republican becomes the next speaker of the House.

"The president has been here in Ohio a dozen times this year, and (Ohio Gov.) Ted Strickland thinks it is about him," Boehner told a crowd of over a thousand Southwest Ohio Republicans who came to Lunken to see him and John Kasich, the GOP candidate for governor, and Rob Portman, the GOP Senate candidate.

 "It is not about him - this is about President Obama getting re-elected in two years," Boehner said.

Boehner took a pointed shot at the president, who has been criticized in recent days by conservatives for an interview with Univision, the Spanish-speaking TV network, in which he used the word "enemies" to describe his political opponents.

The White House clarified the statement Monday, saying he should have referred to them as "opponents."

Boehner wasn't having any of it Monday night.

"I have a word to describe these people who have the audacity to fight for our constitution, Mr. President," Boehner said. "These people aren't enemies; they are patriots."

Boehner, who grew up in Reading and went to Moeller High School, told the crowd he was humbled by "being here on this stage."

"I'm the last guy in the world who should be here - I grew up just up the road in Reading; I had 11 brothers and sisters; my dad ran a bar," he said. "But that's America."

If Republicans win control of the House in Tuesday's election - and there is every indication that will happen - Boehner is unlikely to face any opposition in the vote for speaker in January.

Speeches by Boehner, Kasich and Portman were punctuated by performances by country singer Hank Williams Jr., who dispensed not only tunes, but political rhetoric. That got as much of applause from the crowd as the speeches by the politicians, if not more.

"I'm tired of being punished for doing well," Williams shouted.

The country singer recounted a conversation with his home-state senator, Tennessee Republican Lamar Alexander, who told him to "think about a bright, burning fire and putting a wet blanket on it. That's what the Obama administration has done to this country."

It also shows that one of my favorite former Governor's understands what it takes to be Governor and why for 8 years Florida was on the right track with Jeb Bush as Governor. What Jeb said is so true of many of our states and how all of us tomorrow need to change the culture of asking the Government what you can do for us when we can do so much ourselves. Fred Barnes: The Five Faulty Theories that Led Obama and Democrats to Disaster

Today while looking for articles about the upcoming election tomorrow, I found all kinds with predictions of what was going to happen on November 2nd. Then I ran across this article from one of my favorites, Fred Barnes, that explained the reasons for the tsunami that is about to hit Democrats tomorrow. It makes perfect sense.

During 2008 campaign, we couldn't believe what we were witnessing as the words of Obama never did match his background but the media went all out for him which will start to cover in the days ahead along with some things that are happening with this President. How he reacts after tomorrow we think we even shock some Democrats. He has never been one to roll up the sleeves and get to work.

Obama is now going to be faced with a new Speaker of the House John Boehner who is one of those roll up the sleeves and get to work people along with Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, Mike Pence and other House Republicans. You don't get to where John Boehner is today without hard work and ideas. Like Marco Rubio, he comes from a blue collar family where if you work hard, you can be successful at whatever you do.

That is something Obama has been missing as everything has been handed to him. His surrogates always were able to get other candidates out of the way or make sure every piece of dirty laundry true or not was brought out while covering for Obama. They made sure the members of the media were right there with them in the cover-up of the 'real' Obama.

The American Dream that comes from growing up in mainstream America is not something Obama experienced as a child.  It seems he didn't learn at an early age you have to work for what you achieve because the only thing he has ever worked at is campaigning.  He certainly doesn't work at being President or before that a Senator.  Most of us have faced adversity in our lives and learned to deal with what is handed to us. Obama has been protected by his mentors from learning first hand that you don't always get what you want. He is guilty of thinking he had a mandate for Change but never understood the American people as Fred Barnes has pointed out in his piece today.

Republicans have to remember the same lesson -- the Country is center right and if you govern from center right, everything will be fine but you cannot tilt too far right or they will face a similar backlash. The American people want The People's House back in control of people who understand America and our Constitution and are willing to do what is necessary to preserve our Freedoms. We have watched a group of Republicans led by Republican Leader Boehner, Whip Eric Cantor, and Conference Chair Mike Pence stand up day in and day out for the American people and they never wavered even though vastly out numbered. They kept right on fighting.

Never have been prouder to call myself a Republican then I have these last two years when I have seen how hard the members of Congress have fought for us against all odds. We won the Massachusetts Senate Seat with Scott Brown, then the Virginia and New Jersey Governorships with Bob McDonnell and Chris Christie and the members of the Republican Party became rejuvenated.

Americans for the first time in my lifetime had enough which led to the Tea Party movement which has grown and become stronger because of the leftist, progressive agenda of Obama and the Democrats in Congress.  The media has ignored the fact that a lot of Tea Party people are also the Republican grassroots who form the backbone of most campaigns.  Having the Grassroots involvement doesn't fit the narrative of many media members.  We didn't have the Tea Party in 2004 when the Republican Grassroots rose up here in Oklahoma to work to elected Dr. Tom Coburn to the Senate, but we had those same ideals of the Tea Party they have today. The people fueling Ken Buck's campaign in Colorado are made up with the grassroots along with others who also support the ideals of the Tea Party movement. 

The media has tried their best to define the Tea Party but they don't get it -- the Tea Party is people with the ideals of our Founding Fathers not an 'official' political party as they come from across the political spectrum, from small towns and rural area to large cities. They are united against the path to socialism this Administration and Congress have set us on and on November 2nd, and along with many Americans will speak loud and clear. We want to get America back to the principles of what this Country has been founded on in our Constitution which starts out

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Freedom is a precious gift that was given to all of us by our Founding Fathers and those who fought in the Revolutionary War to secure those Freedoms. This election is about keeping our freedoms and pulling America back from the brink of a socialist path that Obama/Pelosi/Reid have us on today.

The Five Faulty Theories that Led Obama and Democrats to Disaster

The original sin of President Obama and Democrats was their belief in the theory that smashing victories by their party in the 2006 and 2008 elections represented a political realignment that would leave them in power in Washington for decades to come.



As even they should know by now, that theory wasn’t close to being true. A true realignment – and there have been only a handful of them in our history – requires a dramatic shift in the political and ideological leanings of Americans. That hasn’t happened.

The exit polls in the 2008 election and extensive polls since then found that America remains a country with twice as many self-identified conservatives as liberals, while about one-third of Americans consider themselves to be moderates. This breakdown has been the case for years.

The second theory is loosely related to the supposed realignment. It holds that during a serious economic downturn, like the one we experienced beginning in 2008, the public is eager for drastic action by Washington, significantly enlarging the federal government’s role in the economy and in the lives of average Americans. As Michael Barone has noted, Obama and Democrats “acted on this theory,” only to discover that if it was ever operative, it isn’t anymore.

The third theory is also connected to the idea of a center-left nation with faith in the power of government to solve the most difficult problems – a deep recession, for instance. Government spending, widely distributed, would spur demand, cause economic growth, and create jobs. That’s how the theory said things would work.

Thus we got the $1 trillion stimulus (with interest payments included)....

Theory number four grew out of the presidential experience of Bill Clinton. In 1993 and 1994 – his first two years in office – Clinton and his wife Hillary put together a comprehensive health care bill. It never came to a vote. After Democrats were crushed in the midterm election in 1994, the theory arose that the failure to enact the health care measure had caused the defeat, but passage of a health care bill would spare Democrats a similar thrashing this year.

This was always a dubious theory, since crime, a tax hike, gun control, and several other issues played major roles in the Republican landslide in 1994....

Finally, there’s the theory that the president can use the bully pulpit to sell his program to the public. President Obama was regarded as uniquely gifted as a speaker and therefore perfectly suited to using the presidential megaphone to persuade the public. Wrong.
