"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Dan Coats for Indiana Senator in Debate Against Ellsworth, Oct 11th

This 2010 election is proving one thing -- Democrats will say anything to try to get votes -- some stretch the truth while others lie. How Ellsworth can claim he has a "100 percent" pro-life voting record when he voted and still supports Obamacare is beyond us. The Democrats have also become the Party of Personal Attacks as we witnessed once again in this Indiana US Senate debate last night.

Ellsworth while in the House under Pelosi has voted with her and fellow Democrats almost 90% of the time which puts him out of touch with Indiana voters. Good news is that he has left the House to run for Senate and is now going to find himself in the Unemployment line as former Senator Dan Coats will lose the word 'former' and become Senator Dan Coats from Indiana come January 3, 2011, when new members of Congress are sworn into office.

Email from the Dan Coats for Senate Campaign:

The first U.S. Senate debate between incumbent Congressman Brad Ellsworth, Rebecca Sink-Burris and your next senator - Dan Coats - concluded in Indianapolis a little bit ago.

It only took fifteen minutes for Congressman Ellsworth to display his desperation to Hoosiers by personally attacking Dan. Those types of ready-made Washington attacks don't work in Indiana. Hoosiers are looking for a Senator that will carry their values to the United States Senate and work to put a stop to the Obama-Pelosi agenda that Congressman Ellsworth has supported nearly 90 percent of the time.

For many Hoosiers, tonight was the first time they heard Congressman Ellsworth address some issues. Let's recap.

Congressman Ellsworth embraced his support of the Obama-Pelosi health care bill which has been consistently and overwhelmingly opposed by a majority of Hoosiers. He ignored the fact that taxes and regulations are sending jobs overseas and the cold hard facts that he is the recipient of a highest percentage of special interest campaign contributions of any U.S. Senate candidate in the nation.

In one of the most shocking misrepresentations of his own record, Congressman Ellsworth said he has a "100 percent" pro-life voting record. Both National Right to Life and Indiana Right to Life unequivocally endorsed Dan Coats because of Congressman Ellsworth support of the health care bill's abortion provisions.

The contrast is clear, the choice is clear. If Hoosiers want a candidate who has supported the Obama-Pelosi agenda nearly 90 percent of the time and agrees with higher taxes, more regulation and no job growth, they should vote for Congressman Ellsworth.

If Hoosiers are looking for a candidate that will fight for them, oppose the Obama-Pelosi big government agenda and work to get America back on track and Hoosiers back to work, Dan Coats is the candidate.

Ellsworth (D-IN) Has Explaining to Do About Outsourcing Overseas

After receiving this email this morning from the Republican Dan Coats campaign for Senate from Indiana, we decided to do some checking and found this ad which Fact Checks the new Ellsworth ad:

When a candidate like the liberal Democrat Ellsworth is behind 51-33 in a new poll conducted EPIC-MRA of Lansing, Mich for WISH-TV,  it calls for Democrat desperate measures. In common sense terminology that means putting ads on the air that lie or misstate the facts about your opponent which the Democrat Ellsworth has done. Since Ellsworth cannot beat Dan Coats with facts, he is now resorting to lies. One of the parts of the ad has already been discredited by FACT CHECK.org but that has not kept Ellsworth from continuing to use it.

Hard to believe that residents of Indiana elected him to Congress. Ellsworth in three years has a 28 lifetime voting average. Was Ellsworth one of the Democrats who Rahm Emanuel had pretend to be conservative to get election in 2006 and then went left? Now with Ellsworth running for Senate, the residents of the 8th District will have a chance to send Republican Conservative Dr. Larry Bucshon to DC to represent them not Democrat Trent Van Haaften who will represent Pelosi and Obama.

On November 2nd, Indiana will return to the Red States by electing Dan Coats to the Senate and Larry Buschon to the House so for Indiana voters it is a win win.  The liberal Ellsworth who left the Indiana 8th District House seat to run for Indiana Senate is now going to  be in the unemployment line after losing to Dan Coats in the Senate race

I wanted to draw your attention to a new poll conducted by WISH-TV in Indianapolis showing Dan Coats with a strong lead against his opponent, incumbent Democrat Congressman Brad Ellsworth. (Click here to see the results)

Of course, this poll brings good news, but we can't take anything for granted. Just as predicted, Congressman Ellsworth used the Evan Bayh Bailout of 2010 to launch a false, negative attack on the airwaves today.

Ironically, it's Congressman Ellsworth who has a lot of explaining to do to about American companies shifting production and resources overseas.

It's the very tax-and-spend policies of President Obama and Speaker Pelosi he has consistently embraced which have created a cloud of uncertainty and encouraged U.S. businesses to take such drastic measures.

The nonpartisan FactCheck.org has already discredited Ellsworth's repeated attacks against Dan on outsourcing as "false" but he has chosen to continue misleading Hoosiers in an attempt to distract from his record of supporting higher taxes, unprecedented spending and ObamaCare.

Dan Coats will continue talking about the issues - whether Congressman Ellsworth joins him in addressing these challenges is still an open question. He hasn't thus far.

Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors that Congressman Ellsworth's false attacks have already been discredited by independent sources and that Dan Coats is the leader we can trust to lower taxes, reduce spending and get America back on track and Hoosiers back to work.

Sincerely,

Cam Savage
Coats Campaign Manager

Dan Coats: The Choice for Indiana Senate

This ad by Dan Coats strikes right at the heart of why Democrats need defeated in large numbers on November 2nd. They have quit working for the people of their individual states and districts. Instead for the last two years these Democrats have been working for Obama/Pelosi/Reid. Most incumbent Democrats won't do Town Halls because they don't want to answer to their constituents for their votes against them.

Senior citizens need to use the election on November 2nd to make their voices heard and send candidates like Ellsworth who supported Obamacare to the unemployment line in January. All groups are affected by Obamacare but the senior citizens were sold out by AARP and the Obama Democrats like Ellsworth.

Dan Coats (R-IN) Commercial: The Difference

Dan Coats is running from Indiana to return to the Senate. We hated to see him retire but will be so happy to see him return to the Senate and lend his expertise especially on foreign affairs.
