"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Ellsworth (D-IN) Has Explaining to Do About Outsourcing Overseas

After receiving this email this morning from the Republican Dan Coats campaign for Senate from Indiana, we decided to do some checking and found this ad which Fact Checks the new Ellsworth ad:

When a candidate like the liberal Democrat Ellsworth is behind 51-33 in a new poll conducted EPIC-MRA of Lansing, Mich for WISH-TV,  it calls for Democrat desperate measures. In common sense terminology that means putting ads on the air that lie or misstate the facts about your opponent which the Democrat Ellsworth has done. Since Ellsworth cannot beat Dan Coats with facts, he is now resorting to lies. One of the parts of the ad has already been discredited by FACT CHECK.org but that has not kept Ellsworth from continuing to use it.

Hard to believe that residents of Indiana elected him to Congress. Ellsworth in three years has a 28 lifetime voting average. Was Ellsworth one of the Democrats who Rahm Emanuel had pretend to be conservative to get election in 2006 and then went left? Now with Ellsworth running for Senate, the residents of the 8th District will have a chance to send Republican Conservative Dr. Larry Bucshon to DC to represent them not Democrat Trent Van Haaften who will represent Pelosi and Obama.

On November 2nd, Indiana will return to the Red States by electing Dan Coats to the Senate and Larry Buschon to the House so for Indiana voters it is a win win.  The liberal Ellsworth who left the Indiana 8th District House seat to run for Indiana Senate is now going to  be in the unemployment line after losing to Dan Coats in the Senate race

I wanted to draw your attention to a new poll conducted by WISH-TV in Indianapolis showing Dan Coats with a strong lead against his opponent, incumbent Democrat Congressman Brad Ellsworth. (Click here to see the results)

Of course, this poll brings good news, but we can't take anything for granted. Just as predicted, Congressman Ellsworth used the Evan Bayh Bailout of 2010 to launch a false, negative attack on the airwaves today.

Ironically, it's Congressman Ellsworth who has a lot of explaining to do to about American companies shifting production and resources overseas.

It's the very tax-and-spend policies of President Obama and Speaker Pelosi he has consistently embraced which have created a cloud of uncertainty and encouraged U.S. businesses to take such drastic measures.

The nonpartisan FactCheck.org has already discredited Ellsworth's repeated attacks against Dan on outsourcing as "false" but he has chosen to continue misleading Hoosiers in an attempt to distract from his record of supporting higher taxes, unprecedented spending and ObamaCare.

Dan Coats will continue talking about the issues - whether Congressman Ellsworth joins him in addressing these challenges is still an open question. He hasn't thus far.

Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors that Congressman Ellsworth's false attacks have already been discredited by independent sources and that Dan Coats is the leader we can trust to lower taxes, reduce spending and get America back on track and Hoosiers back to work.

Sincerely,

Cam Savage
Coats Campaign Manager
