"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

President Obama’s nominee for deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) tried, but failed to defend the proposed budget for fiscal year 2012 in a Senate Budget Committee hearing Thursday afternoon.

Obama’s nominee, Heather Higginbottom, crumbled under questioning from Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, ranking member of the committee, about the accuracy of statements the president and OMB Director Jacob Lew have made that the proposed budget will not add to the national debt.

The more than six-minute long questioning consisted of numerous exchanges that saw Higginbottom trying to dodge direct questions regarding the impact the president’s budget would have on the national debt:

This should not be a shock to anyone about the Obama 2012 budget but it is shocking he picked someone who could not stand up to being questioned by Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL).  Higginbottom crumbled finally admitting the Obama budget did not pay down the deficit! OOPS!

From the account of Higginbottom during her questioning by the Senate members, looks like Obama and his two Democrat puppets, Pelosi and Reid, have been lying all along about Obama's 2012 budget paying down the deficit. Who would have thought we couldn't trust Obama, Pelosi, and Reid? Those of us who voted for Republicans candidates for Congress in 2012 and even more Americans are waking up daily to the fact we cannot trust that trio to tell the truth. In fact, if the trio keeps this up they will get to the stage when their mouths are open, lies will be forthcoming.

Doesn't look like Higgenbottom is the person to be head of OMB when she cannot take questioning by a member of the Senate. At least she finally told the truth -- wonder what type of phone call she had from Valerie Jarrett after that debacle?
