The Florida Liberty Alliance will continue to work toward an America where people express themselves peacefully and non-violently so we can all enjoy peace and prosperity together.
Their statement above is something all of us should work to achieve. It is past time to check the anger at the door of meetings with the members of Congressional delegations.
Florida Liberty Alliance Statement on Arizona Shooting
January 9, 2011
The Florida Liberty Alliance expresses deep sadness at the loss of so many lives in Arizona. Our Country is always at its greatest when we treat each other peacefully and with respect. Far too often violence takes the lives of those who live in our communities, whether they work beside us every day or serve us in government roles. We mourn those losses that occur every day in America.
Members of the Florida Liberty Alliance will keep the families of all those who were injured and who lost their lives in our thoughts and prayers. We know, as always happens in America, that the families and friends of those so deeply affected will find strength and support in their communities.
We hope that every citizen in America will respect the memories of those lost by remembering that the violent acts of a disturbed individual should not be cast in the light of politics. Rather, this act of violence should be seen as a personal tragedy inflicting pain on so many individuals. Their suffering will increase if Americans attack each other to serve agendas that are not related to this tragedy. Their suffering will ease as Americans unite in mourning over the losses today and the losses Americans suffer everyday in a society that can be far too violent. We believe that such unity will bring resolve that will further strengthen our country, together.
The Florida Liberty Alliance will continue to work toward an America where people express themselves peacefully and non-violently so we can all enjoy peace and prosperity together.
Sincerely,
Tom Gaitens
