A short time ago when I received this email, I realized that the stories of Romney running short on contributions had happened. So where does he go? Straight to fellow billionaire Donald Trump to raise money. Where does Rick Santorum turn? To the small contributors who are now helping fund his race.
While Romney asks for $2500 per person, Rick Santorum is asking for $25 to $250 to help him fight Romney and his 'scorched earth' policy that he has now aimed at Santorum. The good news is that when I went to http://www.ricksantorum.com to make a small donation, I had trouble getting into the site which bodes well for Santorum as he raised $3M after his wins in MO, MN, and CO. Supporting Santorum makes you feel like you are a part of the campaign along with thousands of others. If you make a contribution of $25 it is going to be appreciated. With Romney it is $2500 per donor to make him happy and if you are a couple that is $5,000 for the primary.

Some friends from San Diego first told me I would really enjoy listening to Roger Hedgecock's program and they were correct. Many times I have turned into his program on the net and never am disappointed. This latest article from Hedgecock says what a lot of us have been thinking and what is driving the elitist, establishment Republicans up a wall. Former President George HW Bush and his cronies who support Romney most likely are behind the pit bull, Rove who has gone way over the top with his attacks on Trump. Unlike some others Rove has taken out, The Donald is fighting back!
For any one who doesn't know, Karl Rove got his start thanks to George HW Bush while he was the head of the RNC during the Nixon years and is still loyal. Bush 41 pushed Mitt Romney in 2008 and is once again pushing him for President. Why? Makes no sense unless it is the connection to his Dad. Romney does not go over well with a lot of the activists and grassroots. Most of us went to McCain instead of Romney which speaks volumes.
Donald Trump has tapped into the Republican grassroots community because unlike what so many of the GOP candidates are doing by being differential to Obama and his Administration, Trump is taking them on with their failed policies and Obama's secret records.
If I see one more political official say they know that Obama was born in Hawaii and let's move on, I am going to scream. First of all, how do they know where he was born as the Certificate of Live Birth is useless. At that time any Tom, Dick, or Harry could walk up to their local issuing place and give the details of when a child was born with zero proof and then fill out the birth announcement for the paper to go along so the birth would be announced. Hawaii was looking for citizens which is even more reason for Obama to provide the long form.
Can guarantee you that if any Republican wouldn't release their records, the Obama media would never stop demanding access to the records. Look what happened to Pres GW Bush on his grades which he finally released. They never quit on his guard records actually reporting on phony records that were proved false but it didn't stop Dan Rather from continuing to say the documents were not correct but it didn't make them not true. HUH?
Donald Trump is willing to say what needs to be said thus tapping into support of the grassroots who are tired of the elites deciding who to run as being witnessed right now as Rove and others try to take out Trump and it is not working.
Trump is as appalled at the waste and corruption riddling the Obama government as more and more Americans are. Trump has put his reputation on the line, betting that his saying what everyday Americans are thinking will help shape the 2012 debate, force politicians to address the fiscal emergency and maybe even propel him into the White House.
I don't know about the latter, but if Trump succeeds in speaking for an increasingly gloomy America and makes the 2012 election a real debate about solutions, he will have performed a patriot's duty and, like Perot, be honored by his countrymen for his sacrifice.
If Trump makes it to the White House, I'm sure critics will have plenty of fodder for columns like this one, but who else would you rather have as president negotiating for America? I'll take the author of "The Art of the Deal."

Donald Trump, like Ross Perot 20 years ago, is a rich, successful, supremely confident salesman and patriot intensely dissatisfied with the competence of the present ruling political elite of both parties.
Trump is speaking out and speaking truth to Obama power like no one else. Like Perot before him, he's used to speaking his mind in blunt terms. He's not beholden to anyone. He scares the ruling elite. To the establishment, Trump has gone rogue.
I've seen this movie before.
In 1992, rich outsider Ross Perot loudly voices dissatisfaction that mirrors widespread public concerns not addressed by existing politicians. Insiders panic, fearing the power of a rogue voice unbeholden to the usual agendas and rich enough to be heard.
Critics tear at "gaffes" ("Larry, they doctored the photo"), paranoia ("they tried to kill me"), past business practices (Didn't his business make millions computerizing Medicare?), charge "racism" ("you people") – anything to stop the public from believing and following the outsider.
But Perot seemed right about a lot of things in 1992 and seems more right today than ever.
His prediction about the ultimate insolvency of Medicare was spot on. His opposition to wars not declared by Congress found support then and certainly rings true four ruinous wars and 20 years later. His criticism of NAFTA and "free trade" sounded like evil protectionism in 1992, but sounds like prophesy to many American ears today. Perot's 1992 advocacy of a balanced federal budget brings moans of "if only we had followed that advice" today.
Blocked from the presidential nomination by either party in 1992, Perot sought third-party recognition as the Reform Party in all 50 states, got it, dropped out of the race at the peak of his popularity, dropped back in right before the election and still got nearly 20 percent of the vote – enough to defeat the incumbent and elect Clinton.
Remembering the Perot experience, I doubt the closed-shop mentality of the political class will allow Trump a fair fight for the Republican presidential nomination.

Can The Donald starring as The Donald in "The Donald" be serious? Isn't this just another stunt to flatter his considerable ego? Critics flacking for the insiders call Trump a "clown," a "birther," "ignorant," "crazy" in print and worse in private.
But the rising hysteria of the insiders is in direct proportion to Trump's exploding out of political nowhere to capture a significant following and the pole position in early presidential opinion surveys.
In 2011, a significant majority of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track, that a government-directed economic recovery funded with borrowed trillions is not working, that the Libya war-that-is-not-a-war is wrong on every level.
With persistent high unemployment, jobs fleeing overseas, constant war, government regulation, taxation and nanny state intrusions turning Americans off, Trump is the loudest voice telling us the Emperor has no clothes, no matter what the New York Times says.
When Trump points out that every country in the world except Obama's America is drilling for oil, gas, coal, gold, copper, etc, etc., to make money, create jobs and improve their citizens' standard of living, Americans are listening. Maybe to the Sierra Club it makes sense that we should not use the riches literally bubbling up under our feet, but to Trump and a majority of Americans, this is just plain nuts.
The Chinese are hacking our computers, threatening our aircraft carriers and undermining our economy. Not one American politician wants to talk about this.
For too long our elected officials at times have been very weak and deferential when talking to foreign leaders especially Obama not to mention Clinton or Carter. We loved it when George Bush stood on the ruins of the World Trade Center and told the terrorists:
“I can hear you! I hear you, the rest of the world hears you, and the people who knocked down these buildings will hear all of us soon!” George Bush at WTC site on September 14, 2001
Then he named the Axis of Evil in his speech following 9/11. What happened to that President who wasn't afraid to take on the world?
We need a President who is as tough as nails and stands up for America from day one to the last day of his term. We want a President who the rest of the world respects but fears. We are seeing daily what it is like to have a President who only stands up to our allies like Great Britain and bends over for people who harbor our enemies along with our enemies. Obama has tried his best to get Chavez to really like him but Chavez does not respect a weak President and takes full advantage. Some negotiating team we have -- Obama and Hillary Clinton -- horrible combination.
Right now of all the people who have said they are considering running, only Donald Trump has the proven business and negotiating experience, along with a backbone. The chattering class are being driven up a wall as they once again figured they could choose the next Republican nominee -- not going to happen this time. No more Bob Dole's or John McCain's period -- men who were rewarded by the establishment clearing the way for them to run for President.
This time the establishment is not going to move Donald Trump out of the way no matter what. Americans want a real leader who believes we are an Exceptional Country and no one is going to take advantage of us -- Donald Trump is the ONLY person we see that meets that criteria.
We support Donald Trump on his wanting the American people to see Obama's birth certificate and other records including college records and real estate dealings in Chicago. The American people have a right to see the records and discover why Obama has spent over $2M keeping them sealed. That should be enough money to make anyone wonder including the Obama media. That would be the day for the Obama media to actually question because most of the MSM is in the Obama camp and have no desire to find the truth and have their bubble burst.
We think that Rezko is a key to the underhanded dealings of Obama in Chicago that date back to when Franklin Marshall Davis first introduced him into Chicago politics. Today Valerie Jarrett, daughter-in-law of Davis' best friend, Vernon Jarrett, sits in the White House near Obama. Then you also have Valerie Jarrett's mother's close relationship with Tom Ayers, Bill Ayers father. Davis and Jarrett were both involved in the Communist party of the USA starting in the 50's along with Obama's grandfather, Stanley Dunham who became friends with Davis in Hawaii. The Dunham's when living in Seattle were members of a left-wing Unitarian church near Seattle. The church located in Bellevue, Washington was nicknamed "the little red church," because of it's communist leanings. All this background leads Obama to Chicago and eventual involvement with Rezko which may be the achilles heel the MSM doesn't want anyone to know about.
Will Donald Trump be able to break through the MSM and their 'Iron Curtain' they have erected around Obama? We are betting the answer is 'YES!' We believe that Canada Free Press may be right that the MSM are concentrating on the birth certificate to keep the Rezko connection quiet. We will have more in the days ahead as we pull out some of the research from 2008/2009. We do know that spending $2M to keep records quiet smells and Obama's book, "Dreams from My Father" is not factual and not written by Obama-- we would take that to the bank. Obama had no relationship with his father but writes a book about him? It was purely because he was running for President and to make money -- it worked because the MSM was to lazy to investigate that as well.

Billionaire Donald Trump may be a publicity junkie and questionable presidential material. Athough who am I to say, just look at what we got right now—but he makes for one awesome Obama attack dog. With the self assurance that only money, power and celebrity can buy, Trump has been knocking down the walls the main stream media have erected around the President to expose parts of his background that liberals would prefer never see the light of day.
Trump has raised the issue regarding Obama’s birth certificate from conspiracy theory to legitimate topic of conversation. Finally someone has destroyed the false MSM narrative that a “Certificate of Live Birth” and a birth certificate are the same thing.
Last week Trump raised the stakes by attacking Obama over his real estate dealings with convicted Chicago slumlord Tony Rezko. While MSM reporters have been happily reporting the Trump birther issue, something they believe most Americans will just laugh away, they have not spent anywhere near the same energy publicizing Obama’s connections to Rezko, a story that could really hurt Obama should it become common knowledge.
There is no chuckling away Rezko’s purchase of the lot next to Obama’s Chicago home and the subsequent sale of a strip of land to Obama that “conferred a benefit by helping Obama obtain something he couldn’t otherwise afford”. In other words it was a payoff from a Chicago power player to an up and coming politician for services yet to be rendered. Already the MSM are circling the wagons on this story as a Google News search for “Trump and birther” shows 2,917 results while a search for “Trump and Rezko” yields only 13.
This past week CBS carried water for Obama once again by refusing to release the complete “hot mic” recording of his meeting with Democratic donors. It would seem CBS doesn’t want audio of the President referring “to a group of Americans as ‘slugs’” making it to the airwaves. One can only imagine how quickly it would have been released had the President been named Bush.
Trump has shown that direct confrontation with Obama is the best way forward in 2012 - Trump is only down 2 points to Obama in the latest Newsweek/Daily Beast poll. No longer can Republican candidates pull a John McCain and sit calmly on the sidelines while the liberal controlled media decides which Obama stories are newsworthy and which are not. The more Republicans expose of Obama’s shady past and unethical presidency to the American people, the better chance we have of putting the worst President in modern times behind us.
Direct confrontation seems to be the ONLY way. While most of our candidates are saying Trump should back off, Donald Trump is doing the right thing to shine the light of truth on Obama and the media is in full meltdown attacking Trump which means he is hitting pay dirt. Why do so many Republicans including candidates want Trump to back off finding the truth on Obama. We are sick and tired of the no backbone candidates we keep getting. If the elitists and establishment of the GOP want to know why Trump is picking up steam -- look no further than their limp wristed approach they have had to Obama putting the birth certificate and records off limits. WHY?

May 22nd is the last episode of 'The Apprentice' so how about May 23rd for the formal announcement by Donald Trump? We are looking forward to Donald Trump officially getting in the Republican Primary for President. After a formal announcement, a candidate has 90 days to submit their financial statement -- Donald Trump has just said that he will submit his right away maybe even the day he announces. He is organized and now having to wait until after May 22nd, he will be a well oiled machine hitting the ground running the day he announces.
Since he has a lot of assets and little debt, that is exactly the type of person we need running the Country. Think it is time to have a businessman who understands the bottom line be President because frankly Governors or Senators are not doing well. The last non-politician to run and win was Republican General Dwight D. Eisenhower who began the end to segregation in the south starting in Little Rock, Arkansas. After a highly successful career in the Army he ran for President because he didn't like the way the Country was moving. Donald Trump who is a very successful businessman sounds the same way when you listen to him.
If I was betting in Vegas or Atlantic City on whether Donald Trump is running, my money would be on 'Trump is running' -- not one doubt in my mind or that of many others I know. He brings energy to the Republican primary which is sorely lacking right now. Went from the doldrums of who was running to excitement in a short period of time all thanks to The Donald!
When I opened my email this morning and saw this story, I burst out laughing. Had no plans to do another Trump story today but this one was too good to pass up. Now we have a conspiracy (tongue in cheek) between Donald Trump and Newsmax. We have enjoyed the Washington Whispers part of the US News and World Report for years. What we have learned this week is that the potential Trump candidacy has broken people into two camps --
The first camp where a lot of the grassroots belong is having a blast with the way Trump is handling the media and some establishment types in the GOP. It is awesome to finally see someone from the GOP get some traction who is not 'next in line' for a try at the Presidency. Trump is witty, smart, and understands the economy as well as dealing with foreign countries. He also could be called arrogant and brash but it comes off to a lot of people as refreshing that he says what he thinks. Heard several people say if they had his money, they would do the same thing.
IMO Trump has connected to those of us who live outside the huge cities of the East and West Coasts and Chicago also known in elitists circles as fly-over country. We consider Donald Trump refreshing and are having fun watching the inside the beltway elitists and establishment types go over the top with comments. Told someone this morning in an email that I have not had this much fun in politics in a long time. I am energized by a potential Donald Trump entry into the Republican primary for President. At the same time I cannot quit chuckling at some of the ridiculous comments I have seen out of the chattering class on some of the websites and on the broadcast networks.
The second camp cannot help themselves but go over the edge of the cliff about Trump with some of their rhetoric which borders on ludicrous. Most of the people in this second camp come from the cable media, alphabet networks, establishment Republicans and Democrats, and some libertarian leaning websites:
We have Charles Krauthammer, a huge Romney supporter, comparing Donald Trump to Al Sharpton. Now if that is not going over the edge, nothing is. We actually get a kick out of Rev Al and his humor -- he was the only person to make the Democrat debates bearable when he ran. We turned into watch the lifeless Democrat candidates compete with Rev Al. We are positive that is not the comparison that Krauthammer was looking for when he made the comment. As a huge Romney supporter who got mad at McCain for not picking Romney for VP and then went after Sarah big time, we are not surprised at his comments.
Why did Karl Rove go over the edge when he called Trump a 'joke candidate?' We will let The Donald speak on that subject from Fox & Friends this morning, when he fired back at Karl Rove for calling him a "joke candidate."
"One of the problems that Rove has is that he's devastated, I understand, that Romney's doing so badly.
He took a shot at me the other day, which was, I think, disgraceful, but he's devastated by the fact that Romney is doing so poorly.
.... Frankly, Karl Rove got more publicity from this than he has for anything in awhile."
These are just a few examples of the over the edge comments about Donald Trump from the pundits -- we will leave the website writer comments for a new post on another day when we need some more laughs. The anti-Trump camp is so ludicrous with their comments that all you can do is laugh at their ever the edge rhetoric. Donald Trump really has the Romney camp spooked along with pundits, political operatives, and the elitists who support Romney.
Maybe we should start a sidebar box for the most ridiculous comments of the week against Donald Trump. These week we would have multi winners! That sounds like something to include when we move later this summer to a regular website in preparation for an extremely interesting campaign season that is no longer dull for Republicans.
Been tired for a long time of the typical Presidential candidate regurgitating the speech the speechwriter wrote that his campaign manager hands him to read from the teleprompter. If the candidate says something wrong, the spinners start in from the campaign. Teleprompter speeches are boring for the most part. Would like to be there in person to watch some campaign manager hand a speech to Trump and tell him this is what you need to read from the teleprompter. Can see the "You're Fired" quickly following.
We remember what happened at the GOP Convention when Rudy's teleprompter went nuts -- he winged it and his speech was awesome as he went off the script. We found Rudy refreshing as a candidate but Donald Trump even more so because he is a conservative on many issues including the social issues which mean so much to so many in our Party.

The minute Donald Trump said he was considering running, the Republican Primary became much more interesting and a lot more fun. Need proof? Time's story on Trump has The Apprentice host waving a copy of a Newsmax poll showing him in the lead and says Trump speaks regularly to conservative "force" Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy. And the liberal media watchdog Media Matters has suggested that the two are in cahoots.
So is there a Trump-Newsmax conspiracy? "Yes," cheers Ruddy. "Trump realizes the great potential of Newsmax and has been using it very adroitly. We're well aware he's using it, happy he's using it" says Ruddy from the Newsmax HQ in Florida.
"He's been really responsive to our news team here," says Ruddy, who calls Trump a "friend."
Recently, the potential 2012 GOP primary candidate dropped by Newsmax's West Palm Beach HQ and even chose it as the place to reveal his American birth certificate, part of his effort to call into question President Obama's birthplace. Ruddy doesn't back the birther movement and says he told Trump that he believes Obama was born in Hawaii.
Media Matters last week put a spotlight on the news site's coverage of Trump, calling it an "early and enthusiastic promoter of Trump's presidential ambitions."
Ruddy has no problem with that description. "Media Matters is right," he says.
But much more than Trump, says Ruddy, Newsmax is pushing all the leading candidates in the GOP field who see his site as a must-have interview. Those who've made the pilgrimage include Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Tim Pawlenty, Haley Barbour, and Mike Huckabee.
"I think that we're having an impact that no other media organization can have right now. Really smart political candidates realize that on the path to 2012, we are key," said Ruddy.
"We are the platform for any Republican candidate that wants to articulate a vision to the American people and the Republican Party, and Trump is articulating a vision and idea and he's catching fire," says Ruddy. "He is offering some views that people aren't hearing. When people say they want Donald Trump, they are saying they want something different, and that means it could be something different three months down the road. But right now he's touching a nerve."
Newsmax has also won national attention for its Trump coverage because it's been advertising a Trump poll on several sites. So far some 800,000 have voted online. But Ruddy says that there is no formal or business relationship with Trump. "He did ask if he could change the name of the place to 'Trumpmax' I said no," joked Ruddy. "To us it's just a great news story in a very boring Republican Primary right now."
Is there a conspiracy between Donald Trump and Newsmax -- we hope so as we would like to see Newsmax be part of this extraordinary campaign because we have always respected Christopher Ruddy and his not giving into the establishment or Fox News. He is his own man and it shows. We haven't always agreed with some of the articles from Newsmax but that is not unusual for any media outlet. One thing about Newsmax is that you can always count on their reporters to do the hard hitting investigative reporting that other journalist ignore. When you hear the mainstream media squealing at their stories, you know they hit paydirt.
As usual, George Stephanopoulos of ABC is in a spin mode for Obama. He was not about to let Donald Trump talk about his plans for America as Stephanopoulos kept returning to the birth certificate issue. In not letting the issue go, he highlighted it even more with his wrong reference to the State Department. That certificate on line wouldn't get a passport. No certified copy -- no passport!
This could all be put to rest so easily if Obama would just show the copy of the birth certificate like Senator McCain had to do. Why is Obama exempt and why are the Obama media still covering for him?
Know one thing that is happening -- more and more people are beginning to question why Obama has spent $2M to hide his birth certificate and school records. But then we still think that the passport and health records should be an open book for anyone asking for our vote to become President.
The question still remains after all the discusion, "Why won't Obama show us his long form of his birth certificate that is certified and open his school records?" What is $2M hiding.
When I saw this article this morning, I started chuckling because that is what I am seeing from some unlikely people here in Oklahoma. Frankly a lot of Republicans are fed up with the inside the beltway elitists trying to give the nomination to someone because it is their time. When that nomination looks to be slipping away from people like Romney or other 2008 candidates, then the pundits come out of the woodwork attacking Donald Trump with some pretty nasty remarks. What do they all have in common? Could it be the fact that the ones with most of the negative comments are the most likely to support Mitt Romney?
All we know is that Donald Trump has upset the applecart inside the beltway -- we are enjoying every minute of it to watch Karl Rove, Krauthammer, and other pundits go over the edge in their remarks against Trump. Normally you only see the pundits come out with their knives drawn when an opposing candidate is scoring points which looks to be what we are seeing here. Don't know when I have laughed so hard at some of the asinine statements I am reading from the inside the beltway crowd. The author of the article below had one of those himself: "even as he perpetuates falsehoods about Obama's citizenship and questions the legitimacy of his presidency." How does the author know that Obama was born in Hawaii when even the Governor of Hawaii has not seen a copy of his legitimate birth certificate. The Obama birth certificate on line was a bad imitation.
Like so many other grassroots Republicans, am tired of candidates that are frankly pretty dull or don't have the qualifications that we would want in someone to be our President. Was sitting here thinking about what it would take to get me to support a candidate in the Republican primary for President and came up with this bare bones list:
1. Backbone. Want a candidate who is not afraid to take on anyone and will do an interview with any and all. Selective interviews is not a plus. Have a hard time understanding why Trump asking for Obama to release his birth certificate and college records is so wrong. He keeps getting told to back off by some Republicans but why?
2. Executive Experience. Running a large business successfully and finding out you don't like to lose even on small matters is a major plus. A candidate needs to enter the race with the attitude that 'losing is not an option' because you can count on that candidate to give it their all. Where do you learn that trait -- in business and in sports which prepare you well for politics.
3. Knowledge of the economy and foreign affairs. Tired of soundbites as the solution to everything. Want someone who has had experience dealing with foreign countries not doing On the Job Training (OJT) which has not worked out with Obama. Lack of experience and knowledge has created a vacuum in leadership in the White House since Obama took over.
4. Do what is best for America. Too many candidates are looking to do what is best for them and their constituency not the whole country. They also get caught in the right versus left where one side is always right and the other always wrong. I want a President who understands once he gets in office, he represents all of us and doesn't throw it in people's faces "I Won" which demeans the Office of the Presidency.
5. Enthusiasm. Tired of lackluster candidates who are nice people but frankly are lousy campaigners. Want someone full of enthusiasm that makes me want to go out and work for their election. Dr. Coburn comes to mind first and foremost as an example of someone who got the grassroots fired up in Oklahoma, and we took it from there to send him to the Senate to bug the old stodgy ways of the Senate. Change is good!
6. Sense of Humor. That may be the best trait. A person who can laugh and have a good time is someone I want to support. Being serious all the time is a downer for me.
Those are just a few of what I would like to see in a candidate. More will follow in the days ahead as we start looking at the candidates. Today Donald Trump or 'The Donald' as many refer to him is out front in the media because he is considering running in the Republican primary. Finding it refreshing that he doesn't follow a script that some political consultant gave him but tells it like it is and lets the chips fall.
So happy to learn it is not only people around where I live and in several other areas who are giving Trump a real look but now we find the voters in early like states like what they see. A lot of us are looking for someone to energize us and to be frank, most of our candidates to date before Trump were not candidates who were going to energize a large part of the voting public. Some people forget that in order for a Republican to win, we have to be able to attract the independents and conservative Democrats to vote for our ticket in the general. The conservative base seems to get it, but the elitists including the RNC members don't which speaks volumes. Energizing people to work for your campaign seems to be overlooked by a lot of people but we learned in Oklahoma in 2004 how important that energize factor is to a candidate.
IMHO it is time for a different type of candidate for the GOP -- one who is not tied to 'it was always done this way' but is willing to be innovative with new ideas. That sounds like another item to add to the list.

President Barack Obama has launched his re-election bid in a low-key manner, but the Republican Party's search for a challenger seems stranger by the day.
GOP celebrities like Sarah Palin aren't getting much buzz. Mainstream candidates like Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty aren't getting much traction. It's people once considered highly unlikely to compete seriously for the party's nomination who are creating big stirs in early voting states, a reflection of an unformed and uncertain GOP presidential field.
Republican activists in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina appear deeply intrigued by, and open to, a run by Donald Trump, the publicity-loving business tycoon and host of NBC's "The Apprentice," even as he perpetuates falsehoods about Obama's citizenship and questions the legitimacy of his presidency.
"I hear more and more people talking about Donald Trump," said Glenn McCall, Republican Party chairman in South Carolina's York County. "He's got people fired up."
These Republican officials and activists stopped short of saying they see Trump as the eventual nominee. But they said their party is hungry for forceful, colorful figures to attack Obama and other Democrats on health care, spending and other issues.
You can find a variety of answers to that question and frankly we are part of the group that thinks he should run to liven up the primary. We will say one thing that Donald Trump is not afraid to speak his mind which is totally refreshing. Getting sick and tired of candidates afraid to take on Obama and tell it like it is with the harm Obama and his cronies in his Administration along with liberal Democrats in Congress are doing to this Country. Also tired of potential candidates after Trump comes out asking about the Obama records saying they agree with Trump. Why didn't they speak out earlier?
There has been a website launched, Should Donald Trump Run for President? Rumor has it that the site has signed up more than 800,000 people already. What does that say about Republicans looking for a candidate that can excite them?
The question of the month has been: 'Why did Obama launch his Presidential campaign in the middle of a war in Libya and the budget crises?' Is it because he is afraid of the fact that Donald Trump may run for the Republican nomination and win? I would pay to see a Trump versus Obama debate. How would the media spin that one? More importantly how would Obama react would be even funnier.
Actually would like to get one of the bumper strips that says: "Obama: You are Fired" to put on the back window of my SUV. The number of Trump bumper strips for sale is amazing and shows that people are considering him. There is a liberal on my street that has put out their Obama sign recently -- I cannot think of any bumper strip that would drive them more nuts than one from Trump.
Have said all along that no candidate from 2008 needs to run in 2012 -- if they couldn't beat McCain what makes them think they could win this time? If any of them won the nomination, we would be looking at four more years of Obama. We need someone new and innovative that can afford to run and not depend only on donations. We also need a candidate that will not take matching funds in the general election and can spend money on his campaign unlike Obama in 2008 who was financed by Soros and his cronies including suspect donations from foreign sources and small donations unaccounted for who donated. Why let FEC rules stand in the way seems to be the Obama mantra. FEC is currently investigating the way that Obama accepted donations in 2008. Will anything come out of it? We doubt it but at least they are shining the light of day on the crooked way they took donations especially from foreign countries and small donors.
Obama was all for taking matching funds from the Government in 2008 until he got McCain to sign on and then pulled out of the deal. That was a clue right there that Obama doesn't fight fair just like Obama and his paid hacks set up McCain on the bailouts. Want the Obama and his political hacks to try the same thing on Trump and shortly would discover he is not going to play their brand of ball.
Some Republican candidates are too timid to fight when you have to be able to match Obama toe for toe and call him out on his ridiculous claims. Donald Trump and Paul Ryan are only a few of the Republicans that will challenge Obama on the facts. Too many Republicans go after Obama as a right versus left and in the process get labeled as the conservative right, Tea Party people who are always angry even though it is not true and they are right in what they say. The word is 'perception' which can harm a candidate's chances or make them the star of the campaign trail. We believe that Trump can combat the media after what we have witnessed out of Trump interviews. Anyone who can take on the women of The View and come out ahead is worthy of consideration. That was one of the funniest exchanges on TV to date as he flustered the liberal women on the show.
Democrats and some Obama media are up in arms because Donald Trump dared to challenge the Obama birth certificate and his college records. Why not? No one spends over $2 million to keep the birth certificate and college records hidden unless there is something that Obama doesn't want the general public to see. Why wouldn't Americans question Obama's lack of transparency on his records? Senate Democrats required McCain to prove he had a right to run for President since he was born to military parents in the Canal Zone, but not Obama who was actually adopted by an Indonesia stepfather.
We are believers that ALL records should be made available for anyone running for President and let the American people decide. Did Obama go to Columbia University on a foreign student scholarship? That question has never been answered to date. What passport did Obama travel on when he was 18? Another non answered question. First Clinton got mad when Pres George HW Bush looked at his passport records, and now Obama won't allow anyone to see any of his records including passport records. Will someone explain why the American people don't have a right to know where someone traveled on an American passport or if they traveled on a foreign passport. Seems like simple questions that a President should answer but looks like if you are a Democrat different rules apply.
We applaud Donald Trump for standing up and asking the questions that so many Republican candidates are afraid to ask. We are looking forward to hearing more from Donald Trump in the days ahead. Billionaire Donald Trump has made it official: If he decides to run for president in 2012, he will do so as a Republican.
"If I run, I'm running as a Republican," the real estate mogul told the Shark Tank political website.
Trump, who continues to lead several presidential polls, including an ongoing poll by Newsmax, dismissed the likelihood that he'd run as an independent, as that would split the Republican vote and all but guarantee President Barack Obama's re-election.
That would "absolutely cause a loss for the Republicans -- it would be an Obama dream," he said.
Trump also said he was prepared to sink "tens of millions of dollars" from his own personal fortune into a presidential campaign.
For those of you who don't follow Florida politics, I would like to point out that the Shark Tank blog where this video came from was also one of the leading blogs for Marco Rubio in his Senate campaign against Charlie Crist. It was one of the first places that was checked every morning for updated information. Now he has this video from Donald Trump that Trump will run as a Republican which is great news that we are not looking at a 3rd Party candidate in the 2012 Presidential campaign except for the usual couple percentage points candidates that always run.
With the people I see jumping on board in my inbox, would have to say that Donald Trump is a very serious candidate and a campaign that looked dull just weeks ago is now looking like a lot of fun with a lot of energy in the Republican primary.

We have a different take on that headline from the Obama Saturday morning address to America -- Obama is 'Wrong for America' as he seeks to make sure his major donors continue to get our tax dollars while ignoring what is best for America. His speech Wednesday night offered nothing new -- tax and spend. He took a table knife to the budget he submitted and expected the American people to rave what a wonderful President he was.
Obama will never understand most of the American people are now having a hard time with the rising gas prices caused in part by this Administration's moratorium still in place in the Gulf except for one permit we heard was issued. His administration is not doing any better in issuing permits on new drilling here on land. They have essentially shut down new exploration for oil and gas in the United States.
We are now even more dependent on what happens in the Middle East that Obama helped stir up with his inept foreign policy and a Secretary of State that is out of touch with reality. Bad combination that has made the middle east worse and caused the price of a barrel of oil to rise significantly. You don't waffle like is the trademark of Obama and you certainly don't take the side of the rebels with leaders and members of Al Qaeda as a major part of their group.
None of us have to worry as we are reminded by this Administration inflation is not that bad and we have to sacrifice by paying more for gasoline. Why? Since the Government doesn't consider the price of gasoline and groceries in the inflation numbers, the inflation is going to remain lower than it actually is. Tell that to my bank account that there is no inflation. So sick and tired of the weasel wording you get from this Administration on oil and gas along with groceries as he jets around the country on our dime wasting jet fuel and throwing parties in the White House. Someone needs to tell the President that is not a king or a dictator. It is time he and his family quit abusing the perks that come with being President and realize what the average American is facing. Time for Obama rhetoric is OVER!
Obama could have said in his speech that he made a lot of mistakes with the economy when he took office as he was inexperienced and that he wasted too much of the American tax dollars on an agenda that sounded good like bailing out the banks, GM, and Chrysler but in reality it failed as the stimulus money was wasted in a lot of instances. Then he could have said that he will work across the aisle to do what is best for the American people.
Not Obama -- he has chosen the confrontational approach toward Republicans who have some very good ideas on how to get this Country back on its feet. Obama would rather play the senior citizen card that has worked in the past that Republicans want to take away social security checks. Obama is a typical politician from the far left or far right that only their agenda is correct.
Wish that our Senator, Dr. Tom Coburn (R-OK), would run for President because he truly believes that working together you can solve the problems of America. Every time he has reached out his hand to Obama, he gets it bit off which shows that Obama has no intention of working with Republicans. He would rather be in campaign mode on the attack.
Poorest example of a President we have ever experienced in this Country which is over 200 years old with Obama as the 45th President. This better teach voters a lesson that you never elect someone as President who was raised in his early years in a foreign country whose parents were not in the military but as an adopted son of an Indonesian. It doesn't look like in his life that he ever was friends with people you meet on the street every day throughout Middle America. The same people who turn out in big numbers for a spring football scrimmage and to see the alumni play flag football.
The people behind Obama pulled a coup in getting an inexperienced, far left, lazy politician elected. He has proven he didn't deserve to be President and it is now up to common sense Americans from the right, middle, and left to see that he is not reelected. Let the far extremes of both parties duke it out as we can unite to elect someone who understands you have to work together for the betterment of all Americans. The 'my way or no way' we see out of Obama/Pelosi and the far left is matched but what we are seeing out of the far right. Both groups see working across the aisle as the greatest sin you can do and go on the attack when they don't get their way.
In the weeks ahead we will start looking in-depth at some of the candidates who have announced exploratory committees and are close to making a formal announcement to run for President like former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty who learned as Governor with a full Democrat legislature that you have to work together to get things accomplished. Yet he was willing to stand his ground when he felt it was in the best interest of the people of Minnesota and tell the Democrats NO!
Then we have Donald Trump who is making all the noise. Like him or hate him, he is not afraid to say what he thinks. He is saying things a lot of people are thinking. Will he run? We have no clue but it sure is fun to watch the left squirm when he talks.
Rick Santorum surprised a lot of people by taking the straw poll in one of the SC counties. Unlike CPAC, the straw poll was not bought by the candidate busing in his people. These were activists voting.
Newt Gingrich has put out some interesting documents but we don't see his chances for the GOP nomination getting off the ground. He is more cabinet material in our opinion.
Herman Cain may be the sleeper candidate in all of this as he is slowly picking up support. We also have Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels who will decide after the legislative sessions is done if he will run for President.
My favorite, Governor Rick Perry of Texas, is making no moves to run and my second favorite, Dr. Coburn, is doing the same. That leaves a wide open field for my support and that of others although most of the people I talk with do not want anyone from the 2008 campaign which was such a disaster.
When you have former candidates that in 2010 were told they were not needed in some states to campaign for candidates, they do not need apply for 2012. The talk media needs to stay out of the primary for the most part with the horrible job they did in 2010 helping give us some bad candidates out of primaries in the Senate.
What we do know is that we need to field a strong candidate that can withstand the Obama media attacks. We don't care about Obama attacks he reads from his teleprompter and neither do most people. When you put your own Vice President to sleep with your speech, your rhetoric is wearing thin. It is the constant attacks by the Obama media as they try and get him reelected. They were a major part of his campaign strategy in 2008 by covering up his gaffes, his background, and attacking McCain at every turn. The Obama media became a part of the Obama campaign and unfortunately too many Americans fell for their spin.
Donald Trump started out asking a simple question about where is Obama's birth certificate and now a week later is beginning to ask the same question as lot of us have asked -- why spend millions like Obama has to keep your birth certificate secret?

Donald Trump responds to a recent appearance on ‘The View’ in which things got heated over Obama’s birth certificate. Trump says claims by co-host Whoopi Goldberg that his remarks were racist were “insulting.”
Rev Manning who tells it like it is apologizes to Donald Trump in this video after thinking he was asking the question for political purposes but he said it is obvious with his passion that it is more than that. In this longer version of the view, Donald Trump also is asking the question why no remembers him that went to school with him. Even in the classes he supposedly took at Columbia, no one remembers Obama. Something is not right and we have to wonder if at Columbia he studied in a foreign country as part of their program.
Know one thing is that any doubt we had that Obama was born here has increased dramatically after this last week. We find it very demeaning that the people questioning why he won't show his birth certificate are called names. Donald Trump pointed out on Fox and Friends this morning that President Bush was asked to show his birth certificate. If Sen McCain was asked for his birth certificate, why not Obama? What is Obama hiding?
The bottom line is that the issue of the Obama birth certificate is not back front and center thanks to a simple question by Donald Trump that drove some of the women on The View over the edge. It is not racist no matter how many times Whoopie Goldberg says it is -- it is American to ask if your President was born in this Country when they won't show a birth certificate!
It has been obvious for sometime that Obama did not have the capability to write his book, Dreams from my Father. There is nothing in his speech delivery, press conferences, or one on ones in interviews that indicate that he has English skills to write this book. His grasp of the English language when talking without a teleprompter is at times inarticulate which makes it virtually impossible for him to write this book. Then we have learned over time that some of the instances in the book came from Ayers' life not from Obama's. Is Obama ever going to tell the truth about the book or are members of the mainstream media going to investigate and admit that Bill Ayers wrote this book for Obama.
Several years ago when Ayers made the comment he wrote the book, it made perfect sense. Then Jack Cashill proved through various means that Ayers was the author but the mainstream press continued on with their adoration of Obama's writing skills in this book even when he couldn't give a speech without a teleprompter or a press conference without someone telling him what to say. This lackluster and inept media with a liberal agenda helped give us Obama with their cover-ups for him not only during the general election but now as President. We hold the media and their covering for Obama partially responsibility for mess Obama and his people have gotten this Country in with debt that was unimaginable three years ago. Heads would roll if we had any integrity left in management of news organizations.
Few members of the media covered his Czar appointments with the staffs that has increased the White House budget considerably. He is using Czars instead of cabinet secretaries to do his bidding but the vast majority of the media stays silent. Are members of the media going to ask to interview Bill Ayers about writing Obama's book? We will have to see it before we believe it is possible for the White House Press Corps and mainstream media to get a backbone with some integrity.
Glad to see Bill Ayers come out once more about Dreams from my Father and explain he wrote the book. When people like Ayers jump off the Obama bus, you can bet he is in even more trouble now with a lot of liberals over the War in Libya.

Last Thursday evening at Montclair State University, with a video camera rolling, Bill Ayers volunteered that yes indeed he had written the acclaimed Barack Obama memoir, Dreams from My Father.
Unprompted, Ayers also noted that while Dreams deserves its praise, Obama's second opus, Audacity of Hope, is "more of a political hack book."
Not surprisingly, Ayers retreated into irony as he ended the session. "Yeah, yeah," he said after confirming again that he wrote Dreams, "And if you help me prove it, I'll split the royalties with you. Thank you very much."
With his final comment, the Ayers-friendly audience laughed in relief. The media will laugh nervously upon seeing the video as well. The White House will not.
Barack Obama knows what I know and what the people who have read my book, "Deconstructing Obama," know: Bill Ayers is the principal craftsman behind Dreams. The evidence is overwhelming.
Ayers also established, as I have contended from the beginning, that he is not the author of Audacity of Hope. Although Obama claims unique authorship of this book too, it was, as Ayers suggests, a disingenuous feint to the center written by committee.
Worse for Obama still, Ayers knows that the story he and Obama contrived in Dreams is false in many key details. The fact that Donald Trump has proved willing to challenge that story has got to make the White House even more apprehensive.
As was obvious in his speech at Montclair, Ayers does not like the application of force in Libya, and this may have been his own way of retaliating. Consider it a shot across Obama's bow. The White House will.

Can Donald Trump energize Republicans if he decides to run in 2012? Time will tell but we are not counting him out. At least he speaks his mind without spin which is very much of a positive because you know exactly where he stands.
In the first segment of his interview we agree that the United States should not be the world's policeman. We have always been told it is up to the United Nations to do the policing on the streets like in Iraq and Afghanistan but our recent Presidents have not stood up and told the UN to do its job. One thing I would love to see out of Donald Trump as President would be to take on the United Nations and demand they live up to their Charter.
From the interview, we are getting more of an indication that Donald Trump is serious about running. As Trump pointed out airports in Third World countries are better than some of the major airports in the United States like LaGuardia in New York. Couldn't agree more with Trump that our infrastructure is in bad shape after being ignored for years. We have bridges in Oklahoma that are unsafe and just now are starting to be fixed. Several bridges where I live shed concrete onto I-35, but are now in the process of finally being repaired. Roads and bridges need to have constant supervision and fixed before they get so bad you have to tear up the whole road or replace an entire bridge.
We are looking forward to hearing more of what Donald Trump has to say in the months ahead as he will make his decision in early summer whether to run for President or not!
Decided to take a look at this poll that just came out on an Obama/Trump match-up and am still chuckling. Maybe Trump can fire Obama like he has the interns on his reality show who don't meet the standards required for the position. If Obama had to meet the standards to be President before announcing, he never would have been able to run with his very weak resume. He wouldn't have made it past week one as an intern for Trump because he would have been expected to work.

Frankly Obama and Clinton have been lousy interns in his job as President and in her job as Secretary of State for starters. Obama came into the job with no practical experience in anything but community organizing and it shows. Only thing he made comments immediately on was the Wisconsin Senators fleeing the state and his solidarity with the public service unions. Hillary had practical experience in hiding Rose Law firm records and ... Only foreign policy experience came when she was in the White House as First Lady and showed her true colors like the famous picture of her and the terrorist Yassar Arafat's wife.
As for Libya, Obama's schedule was too heavy for him according to Carney is press secretary to have any meeting on Libya including something important like getting American citizens out of Libya. The State Department answer was to send in ferries and not talk to the Defense Department? Our State Department is run by the same type person who runs the White House -- both kumbyya types who never met a dictator they didn't like and like to dis our allies. State Department spokesman refused to acknowledge Khaddafi was a dictator. From Stephen Hayes article, 'An Administration Adrift' in this week's The Weekly Standard:
On February 15, thousands of demonstrators filled the streets of several Libyan cities demanding the departure of the strongman who has ruled the north African nation for more than four decades. The Libyan regime immediately ordered state-backed militias and mercenaries to put down the violence, with force. A bloody battle followed. As the crackdown began, and then escalated, it was early afternoon on February 16, halfway around the world in the State Department briefing room, when the Obama administration faced questions about how it regarded Muammar Qaddafi.
“Is Qaddafi a dictator?”
State Department spokesman P. J. Crowley, at the podium for his daily briefing, smiled at the question and turned his head to call on another reporter.
“Are you stumped?”
“I’m not stumped,” Crowley responded tartly.
“So what’s your answer to the question? Is he a dictator?”
Crowley smirked. “I don’t think he came to office through a democratic process.”
It wasn’t a trick question. Qaddafi has survived as the unelected leader of Libya through a combination of wanton brutality and strategic bribery. His reign has been characterized by the systematic suppression of his own people and the eager exportation of terror.
Crowley’s answer—uncertain, hesitant, and morally ambiguous—would come to symbolize the Obama administration’s response to the massacre in Libya. Within days there were numerous, credible reports that the Libyan regime was using fighter jets to strafe protesters. Regime-hired mercenaries from other African countries roamed the streets of Libyan cities exercising Qaddafi-style restraint. First they fired warning shots in the air. If that didn’t work, they fired at the ground near the protesters’ feet. And if the demonstrators still refused to disperse, the mercenaries gunned them down.
Then there is the famous quote from his new press secretary that it was a scheduling conflict. Excuse me but Obama had time to dis the Governor of Wisconsin and insert himself into a state's rights matter in Wisconsin immediately but no time to make a statement on Libya or hold a meeting on the subject? Give me a break!
Yet pressure mounted for the White House to do something or, at the very least, say something. White House press secretary Jay Carney took the podium on February 23 to answer numerous questions about Obama’s bizarre silence. When CBS News Radio’s Mark Knoller pushed Carney for a better sense of when Obama might speak on Libya, Carney explained that Obama would be meeting with Clinton that afternoon.
“This is just a scheduling issue,” Carney said. “As I said, the president will meet with Secretary of State Clinton this afternoon, his regular meeting, and they will obviously discuss Libya. We will have something to say out of that meeting, and if possible, the president will speak this afternoon or tomorrow.”
Carney came off as inept -- we thought we had seen the last of that with Scott McClellan from the Bush Administration. Robert Gibbs, the previous press secretary came across as a buffoon who liked to talk around the questions and would ignore other reporters when he didn't want to answer but the remark by Carney was one dumb remark about Obama and his scheduling conflict. Would have thought the Americans still in Libya would have been a priority since our embassy is filled with public service types but they obviously received a priority way below the public service unions in Wisconsin that the White House and DNC helped organize events.
Another F for the Obama Administration when it comes to foreign policy.
At least Donald Trump knows something about running a huge business! His resume is also quite a few inches thicker than Obama, but then most of our resumes are thicker than Obama. You won't see any of us talking about 57 states or that the United States is one of the larger Muslim countries. Makes you wonder where Obama took his history courses with comments like that!
We will support Donald Trump if he gets the Republican nomination. Would be an interesting race.
Arrogance of NRA is simply stunning - for an organization who used to be about gun safety now the bottom line for gun/ammo manufacturers trumps all as the NRA lobbies for them.
According to Think Progress, “NRA: Practice Range” is billed as a “network of news, laws, facts, knowledge, safety tips, educational materials and online resource” for the organization.The National Rifle Association released a new app on Sunday that includes a gun range equipped with coffin-shaped targets, and the option for players to simulate using a military-grade sniper rifle.
The app includes what it calls “9 true to life firearms,” and allows players to download an MK-11 sniper rifle setting for 99 cents. The rifle can shoot 750 rounds per minute.
