"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

DCCC Send Out Fundraising Letters for OBAMACARE to REPUBLICAN ACTIVISTS

Thought you would enjoy reading what the DCCC (Congressional Committee) is doing -- pretty stupid to send it to a Repubican Activist in Oklahoma where Obama only received 34% of the vote and didn't win one County. Thanks for sharing the email with the rest of us on what the DCCC is doing -- asking Republicans for donations or should I say Bill Clinton is asking Republicans for donations for OBAMACARE is ludicrous. But it sure gave me a laugh when I read it today. All I could think of is how dumb is that. Asking anyone in Oklahoma to donate to any Obama is kind of dumb but asking Oklahoma Republicans to donate is even dumber.

We defeated HILLARYCARE in 1993 and the American people will do it again in 2009 despite the threats of Sen Reid to play lose with the Rules of the Senate. Time to send Reid, Pelosi and anyone who votes for Obamacare to the Unemployment line in 2009!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

How did you get my email and my name? Who sold you the list?

I am a lifelong Republican who has NEVER supported National Democrats or where they stand on issues. I find this disgusting that you are sending out emails at will to Republicans.

I will tell you what I think of the Obamacare plan -- it stinks and is an affront to the American people who pay taxes since you want us to fund abortions, illegal's healthcare, and withhold care for senior citizens with our tax dollars. No Thanks to Obamacare.

This is one Republican who will work tirelessly to see the House and Senate Democrats lose seats for supporting this 1,000+ page Healthcare bill that Cong Conyers (D-MI) said was a waste of time to read unless you had two lawyers and time. That is the healthcare bill you have the audacity to want us to support but not read. Bet none of you have read what is in the bill because Democrats traditionally like to pass bills that no one has read since taking back over the House. You forget a very simple fact -- we work to elect office holders but when you take office you work for us, the taxpayer and voter.

Having a group appointed by this Democrat Administration to decide if someone lives or dies or meets their criteria for continued life is frightening. Who gave the Democrats the right to judge on who should live or die or who should get treatment and who should not? No one has that authority. It is up to the doctor to prescribe treatment and to God not some board.

Democrats wrote this monstrosity of bill without input from Republicans in the House, but now you have the nerve to send it to Republican voters and ask for our help? The arrogance by the Speaker and Democrats knows no bounds when they want their way. The Speaker runs a dictatorship in the House as evidence by the ACU voting records for Blue Dogs for 2007/2008. In 2007 before she cracked her whip, there were some actual conservative Blue Dogs but in 2008, their votes on Conservative issues tanked. Now they could never be called conservative with their voting record for 2008.

Right now in Oregon a woman with Cancer has been denied chemotherapy by the State Healthcare fund because simply put it wouldn't do any good and be a waste of money. Another Democrat state that healthcare is determined by the state and you want to do this nationally?

We have something called Oklahoma Values which is obviously foreign to the DCCC. We value and respect human life at all stages. We believe that taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund abortions or end life.

Not only Republicans are mad about this overreach on healthcare but some Democrats here in Oklahoma are just as mad. To send an email to anyone except the Governor and the State elected Democrats has to be a joke when our State only voted 34% for Obama including every county going for McCain. This email from you along with my comments is going nationwide. A copy of this email has been sent to Channel 9 news in Oklahoma City as well.

xxxxxx --

It seems like the 1993 health care debate all over again. Back then, I led the charge for comprehensive health insurance reform. I fought tooth and nail to get it done, keenly aware that millions of Americans were living in fear that a serious illness or injury could spell economic disaster for their families. Americans needed health care reform then and we urgently need it now.

But, just as I did in 1993, President Obama has run into a buzz saw of special interest opposition to his top domestic policy priority -- health care reform. He is facing off against some of the most powerful special interests in Washington who've launched a furious campaign to preserve the status quo.

Simply put, they're at it again. That's why I'm calling on you to stand with President Obama and the DCCC in fighting for change right now. The DCCC is united in their Health Care Reform Now campaign and is trying to raise $250,000 in grassroots donations before their deadline at midnight tonight.

Contribute $5, $10, or more tonight before our deadline at MIDNIGHT and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

Legislation that would lower health care costs for everyone, improve the quality of care, preserve choice and provide more coverage options for American families was introduced in the House last month - just as Speaker Pelosi promised.

But a U.S. health care system that makes quality care affordable for everyone is going to take a lot of hard work from all of us.

Your immediate response is essential because Republicans are waging a fierce assault on President Obama's health care initiative and on Democratic Members of Congress fighting to reform health care now.

Contribute $5, $10, or more tonight before our deadline at MIDNIGHT and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

Republicans have made a political calculation that they'd rather attack Congressional Democrats with sound bites and misleading characterizations of the President's health care reform plan than work on behalf of the American people.

It's up to us to prevent the Republican Party and their special interest backers from doing whatever they can to prevent this historic opportunity to make quality health care affordable and accessible to all.

Please make your next contribution to the DCCC a generous one...and please be sure to give before midnight tonight.

Thank you,
Bill Clinton

P.S. Remember that any size contribution you can make to the DCCC will be matched dollar-for-dollar. So, if you are able, now is an ideal time to step up your support of President Obama's change agenda.

*A group of Democratic Members of the House of Representatives will match your donation today. For every dollar that you donate, these members will donate a dollar of their own.
