"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Congress mulls breaking constitution to pass health care

NOTE: Must watch this Eric Cantor speech as part of this article from the Examiner. It tells it all about Democrats -- the Constitution means nothing to them.

Congress mulls breaking constitution to pass health care

Eric Cantor, Minority Whip 3-18-2010The debate raging in Washington DC and across the nation this week seems to center on Health Care. In reality, it is a fight for the nation's very identity.

In the early 1930's liberal progressives in congress and the White House tried to push the Nation down the road to socialism, and to a fair degree they succeeded. They created generations of Americans dependent on a government check for their income, food, electricity, gas as well as health care.

If those funds should dry up tomorrow, not only would they be destitute, but there would be a whole lot of them. People who are starving are also known to be willing to do whatever it takes to eat including breaking laws.

The individuals that live on this meager existence can tell you that it isn't enough, and to a great degree they are correct. Yet the system can't afford to give them more, there are not the funds to do it with as it stands.

Instead of saving and investing their own funds, a whole generation of seniors entrusted their wages to Uncle Sam and people like Nancy and Barack, who then over-spent it and otherwise robbed the fund blind over decades. Now our seniors live on social security payments that they were told would take care of all their needs in their Golden Years. Very few of those people who supported the massive entitlement program now known as Social Security would call it a success, particularly for those seniors who wait at the mail box for that monthly check so they can decide between food and medicine.

Social Security has failed to live up to its billing in the 30's and 40's. But never mind the fact that the Progressives greatest "acheivment" is an abject failure and bankrupt, lets just repeat it all over again...

In light of this comes the brilliance of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama, here to add another 15 million + people to the rolls of Government handouts, and they have the nerve to tell us that it won't cost us anything! Do they really think that we the people are buying into such a blatant and obvious lie? To call it insane is only to touch on the madness gripping democrats in Washington D.C.

To make matters worse, Pelosi et. al. are using the College Student Loan program to cover up the major cost increases this bill proposes, the CBO was not tasked with looking into how the Loan program is effected by and indeed used by the Health Care bill to hide the tremendous costs associated with the Health Care portion of this unconstitutional abomination. This is no different than a con artist's shell game on a street corner, and you and I are the intended marks.

So in comes another wave of Liberal/Progressive/Communist/Socialist ideologues, intending to put so much weight upon the backs of Americans that the entire system collapses (Cloward - Piven strategy of orchestrated crisis) - all the better to be able to "re-build" America in their socialist image, and that means one without that pesky Constitution getting in the way. Yes, that means Obama, Pelosi and Reid are deliberately and specifically doing all in their power to destroy the constitution. There is no other conclusion to be made. They aren't stupid, this is being done deliberately, and they will do anything, legal or not, to get what they want.

Using a parliamentary trick (they had to write a new rule just today for) deliberately, they seek to circumvent the constitution. Why? Because the Democrats don't have the votes to pass the Health Care bill.

The American public is outraged. The House Switchboard is getting upwards of 40,000 calls an hour. The overwhelming opinions of those calls are "KILL THE BILL". If the Slaughter Rule (the Democrats rule so new the ink isn't even dry yet) is used "deeming" the measure as having passed the house, (when it clearly has not and cannot), the public's outrage is going to be something to see.

Not in our lifetimes has the very foundation of our Nation been tested like this. The Health Care bill does not fit in any of the 18 enumerated powers of congress. The very bill itself is not legislation the Federal Congress can legally write. To have our government behaving in blatantly unconstitutional manners is a threat to all of us as citizens.

This isn't a partisan issue, this is an American one. What makes us American is our constitution. Without the protections afforded by this document, America will cease to exist.

It is up to all Americans to fight against the tyranny being offered on a gilt platter by the president and the congress. The meal on the platter appears appetizing, but it is full of poison. It will kill freedom.

Liberal Portland beware, socialism is only good until you run out of someone else's money.

Republican Whip Eric Cantor is correct; the American public does not want this bill. Believe this if nothing else; if it is passed into "law" by the democrats in DC, there will be hell to pay come November. If the democrat party does not change its present course, it will eventually come to be judged as a threat from within. With repeated attacks on the constitution, and blatant shunning of public will, the Democrats are venturing into territory that the English came to regret in 1776.

Beware, the sleeping giant is fully awake now, and it is not at all pleased with what is going on. In fact it is on it's feet now, and it is stepping out to stop what is happening to America, perpetrated by its leadership. The founders are rolling in their graves, they tried so hard to avoid this.

On the bright side, the Giant is awake now, and some real change is coming. Those in power now who vote for this abomination, are not going to like it much.
