"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Part 4 - Healthcare Bills Submitted by House and Senate Republicans

Today we are going to look at bills submitted on healthcare by Senate Republicans. What we have discovered is that there is a bicameral bill, “The Patients’ Choice Act of 2009” submitted in May that the Senate Committees have refused to have hearings. It is a very good bill as you will see but once again Democrats shut down a Republican bill. Yet this President says Republicans are obstructing his healthcare bill? Give us a break -- Republicans do not have enough people to obstruct anything.

Obama doesn't have his own Party members of Congress on board as a good portion of the House and Senate are NOT socialist and do not want Government to take over healthcare. The Government hasn't done a good job of handling Medicare so why turn over all of healthcare to them?

Most of the media is MIA and prefers to already be part of the state run media by continuing to prop up and carry the water for this Administration. They REFUSE to print or report the truth about the earmarks and pork in the House bill or how much will be added to the deficit if any of the Democrat bills pass. Most of the media ignored Obama's comments that he would veto a bill that added one dime to the deficit -- it is not one dime but billions of dimes added to the deficit. Is he called on it -- NO! Our Socialist leaning media prefers to carry the Obama water then tell the truth.

We don't use the term socialist lightly but when the Government wants to take over a whole industry like healthcare as they did GM, Chrysler, Banks, etc. and now tell us we have to take insurance or be fined, then I don't what else we would call it or most of the media that marches in lock step.

Look at these 2 bills and ask yourself WHY won't the Democrats consider any of these bills?

S.1240
Title: A bill to provide for the reform of health care, the Social Security system, the tax code for individuals and business, and the budget process.

It has become obvious that Obama's signature issue 'healthcare' during the campaign was nothing more then empty rhetoric -- he never has had a bill including not presenting 'his' a healthcare bill to the Joint Session of Congress which was the reason behind the Joint the Session. Did members of the MSM ask why he didn't present his own bill after all his rhetoric? Crickets chirping once again. Guess playing golf or campaigning is more important to this President.

We decided to take a look at Senator (Dr.) Coburn's website to find details about the bicameral bill that was submitted in May. Take time to look at this bill and then ask yourself why the Democrats are so petty to not even consider this bill which does not cost billions?

Senators Coburn, Burr and Representatives Ryan, Nunes Offer A Better Path Forward on Health Care Reform

Bicameral Coalition of Reformers Unveil “The Patients’ Choice Act of 2009”

WASHINGTON – Earlier today, U.S. Senators Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK) and Richard Burr (R-NC) and U.S. Representatives Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Devin Nunes (R-CA) introduced health care reform legislation that delivers on the shared principles of promoting universal access to quality, affordable health care, and does so without adding billions of dollars in new debt or taxes.

“The Patients’ Choice Act of 2009,” transforms health care in America by strengthening the relationship between the patient and the doctor; using choice and competition rather than rationing and restrictions to contain costs; and ensuring universal, affordable health care for all Americans. “The Patients’ Choice Act” promotes innovative, State-based solutions, along with fundamental reforms in the tax code, to give every American, regardless of employment status, age, or health condition, the ability and the resources to purchase health insurance. The comprehensive legislation includes concrete prevention and transparency initiatives, long overdue reforms to Medicare and Medicaid, investments in wellness programs and health IT, and more.

“As a practicing physician, I have seen first-hand how giving government more control over health care has failed to make health care more affordable and accessible. The American people deserve health care reform that will work, not another round of so-called reform that repeats the same failed policies of the past. Congress and the administration have the opportunity to pursue bold reform and a fresh start. The Patients’ Choice Act will provide every American with access to affordable health care without a tax increase, more debt and waiting lines,” Dr. Coburn said.

"The American health care system needs a complete transformation,” Senator Burr said. “The Patients’ Choice Act will finally enable Americans to own their health care instead of being trapped in the current system, which leaves people either uninsured, dependent on their employer, or forced into a government program. With a focus on prevention and wellness and covering those with pre-existing conditions, the Patients’ Choice Act will make health care affordable and accessible to all Americans.”

“Both parties need to step up to the plate with specific solutions to our nation’s health care crisis,” added Ryan. “The Patients’ Choice Act represents a clear alternative to those who seek to empower Washington at the expense of the individual, and I am hopeful that our efforts can help push Congress to enact a more sensible health care reform bill this year. The Patients’ Choice Act proves that America can have universal health care coverage without the government running our health care system.”

Nunes stated, “The American people deserve a health care system that is centered on their individual needs. Our bill will allow us to achieve this goal, while improving health outcomes, lowering cost and guaranteeing access to health care for every single American.”

UPDATE: Additional co-sponsors in addition to Sen Burr have been added to this bill in the Senate:

Sen Alexander, Lamar [TN] - 5/20/2009
Sen Bunning, Jim [KY] - 5/20/2009
Sen Chambliss, Saxby [GA] - 5/20/2009
Sen Graham, Lindsey [SC] - 6/4/2009
Sen Inhofe, James M. [OK] - 5/20/2009
Sen Isakson, Johnny [GA] - 6/17/2009

Once again after reading the synopsis on Dr. Coburn's site along with the bill, ask yourself WHY the Democrats refuse to even hear this bicameral bill in either House? It seems to us that the Progressive Democrats including the President are using healthcare to turn America more socialist against the wishes of the majority of American people.

CNN had a poll of 45% Democrats and 18% Republicans to push the Obamacare and expect us to swallow poll numbers? How dumb do they think the American people are?

The American people against Obamacare are not dumb, are not racist, and or any other name the Democrats want to call us. We freedom loving Americans who when faced with ANY hint of Socialism by our Government are going to be angry. Democrats can call us all names but it doesn't change the fact that for every person that went to the DC Tea Party, there are millions more who wanted to be there. No matter what they want to say, the American people standing up and saying "No to Obamacare" are the backbone of this Country whether the Progressive Dems want to admit it or not.
