"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Pence Statement on Latest Unemployment Numbers

The big question of the day is if Pelosi has enough votes to pass this bill that will destroy the economy, cost even more jobs, and ration healthcare. It all depends on where the Blue Dog Democrats have the nerve to stand up to Pelosi or will they cave and vote against their constituents. Some like Cong Dan Boren (D-OK) have already stated they are voting NO on the Pelosi bill.

Pelosi will not even give the government agencies that score bills the time to score the bill as she tries to ram it through the House on a Saturday evening. Guess that the losses the Democrats suffered on Tuesday mean nothing to her as she is in a safe seat.

If she is successful in ramming this through, she will never have to worry about being Speaker again. Queen Pelosi is a typical progressive who is trying to push their agenda against the will of the people because they believe their agenda is best for the 'little people.' The arrogance toward the America voter knows no bounds with this group of progressives who are very much in the minority in this County.

How much are they going to offer Blue Dogs to vote for Pelosicare? Are the Blue Dogs willing to give up their Congressional seat for a monetary payoff by Pelosi and Dem contributors to vote 'yes' or will they vote the will of their constituents and vote 'no?' If they do vote for Pelosicare, they will be in the Unemployment line with 10+% of their fellow citizens and you can take that to the bank. Blue Dogs are an endangered species if they follow Pelosi.

Stay tuned to see if they actually vote on Pelosicare tomorrow night or will they find themselves lacking in votes.

Pence Statement on Latest Unemployment Numbers

Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, released the following statement today after the Department of Labor announced the national unemployment rate reached 10.2 percent during the month of October:

"Families across this nation are devastated by the reality of a 26-year high unemployment rate. It's hard to find a friend or a neighbor who hasn't been touched by today's news that the national unemployment rate is 10.2 percent. The challenges facing our families and small businesses are obvious to those who are listening. Unfortunately, the Democrat leadership has turned a deaf ear to the concerns voiced by countless citizens, and the American people are paying the price.

"The American people want to know why Congress is forcing through the Pelosi plan for a government takeover of health care instead of a plan that will help create jobs. Concerned citizens don't understand why their elected officials can't work together to create jobs and bring relief to families hurting in the city and on the farm. It is time Democrat leaders abandon their endless pursuit of government-run health care and begin working on bipartisan solutions that will put the American people back to work."
