This Country is a majority center right not far left but the President and leaders of Congress refuse to admit that we understand what is best for all of us not them. These liberal leaders continue to want to ram things through without one Republican on board of even all of their own Caucus. In the Senate Reid had to bribe Senators with tax dollars to get their vote. A Pennsylvania Congressman is complaining that they have no say in the Democrat caucus on healthcare
American people want action on the economy not more taxes or more withholding. Senate was so fixated on healthcare that they allowed some tax deductions to laspe like student loans. Doesn't say much for the Democrat Party who put their own agenda ahead of what is best for Americans.
Congressman Pence and the Republican Caucus need to be included in Congressional action not shoved aside so Pelosi can strong arm people to get her votes to pass issues the majority of Americans don't want. Open Congress -- not even close since the Democrats took over but that is to be expected as they are noted for saying one thing and doing something else. They also love to blame others for what they are doing to try and take the spotlight away.
From now until the election, we are going to be pushing sending the liberal Democrats to the unemployment line in both Houses. We will be following up shortly on voting records for the 2009 Congress to show how the liberal Democrats voted on major issues of 2009 spending your tax dollars at will without regard to any common sense.
Pence on Latest Unemployment Report
January 8, 2010
Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, made the following statement today after the Department of Labor reported the national unemployment rate for December remained at 10 percent, with 85,000 jobs lost last month:
"These are difficult times for America's families and today's unemployment report delivers even more bad news. Democrats continue to advance a liberal agenda that is doing more harm than good. The policies of higher taxes, runaway spending, record debt and government takeovers, are having a chilling effect on jobs creators across the country.
"As Democrat leaders gather behind closed doors to discuss their latest government-run health care scheme, I hope they will reconsider their proposals to raise taxes during the worst recession in a generation.
"The American people have waited for more than two years for Washington to enact policies that will help create jobs and they can't afford to wait any longer. House Republicans are ready to work on common-sense solutions that will put people back to work, starting with fast-acting tax relief for working families and small businesses and fiscal discipline here in Washington."
