Hayworth also did the infomercial trying to give away free money. Why is Hayworth running? Free money from donations to pay off his campaign debts from 2006 comes to mind.
Newsmax Endorses McCain in Arizona Race

Senator and 2008 presidential candidate John McCain squares off today against challenger J.D. Hayworth in the Arizona Republican primary.
Newsmax believes Sen. McCain deserves re-election.
McCain has voted consistently on the conservative side on important issues — he has never supported a broad-based tax hike, has voted for all conservative Supreme Court nominees, and has a long pro-life record.
He also maintains unquestionable credibility on national security and has demonstrated his leadership by encouraging the “surge” of U.S. forces in Iraq.
And, as it turns out, he has a better record than Hayworth on controlling federal spending. Hayworth, a six-term congressman and former talk radio host, is not the man to be in the Senate at this moment.
We have been impressed that John McCain, almost from day one of President Barack Obama’s administration, has been a leader opposing Obama’s radical agenda.
McCain led GOP opposition to Obama’s economic stimulus package. He staunchly opposed Obama's and the Democrats’ healthcare reform plan, and has defended Arizona’s tough new law seeking to rein in illegal immigration.
Even before Obama and the rise of the tea party, John McCain has been an outspoken critic of pork-barrel spending used by both Republicans and Democrats.
Today he supports making the Bush tax cuts permanent. He has also won the backing of the National Rifle Association.
America lives in dangerous times. Iran is on the verge of attaining a nuclear weapon. Rogue states such as North Korea have been growing more belligerent. McCain is considered the Senate’s point man for keeping our armed forces strong and robust. This is not the time for the Senate to find itself without John McCain.
At a recent town hall meeting, McCain declared: “I have stood up and led the fight as a fiscal conservative and a leader on national defense and a strong supporter of the men and women who are fighting and sacrificing for this nation.”
Newsmax rarely endorses a candidate. But in this case, we are convinced that Republicans need to retain McCain’s experienced, forceful voice.
