"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Pence Statement on Economy Shedding Another 131,000 Jobs

How are they (Democrats) going to spin the jobless numbers? Read today that Obama is now openly blaming Pres Bush for the Obama economy. He seems to forget that the Democrats have been in charge of Congress since January 2006. Guess we shouldn't blame Obama too much as the Democrats in Congress seem to forget as well.

The thought of allowing the Bush Tax Cuts to expire and raise all of our taxes will hurt the economy as the market is not looking kindly on such a proposition. If the Democrats get their way and do away with even a portion of Bush Tax Cuts during the period between the election and January, the economy will go way south.

Pence Statement on Economy Shedding Another 131,000 Jobs

“Higher taxes won’t get people hired”

Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, released the following statement today after the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the economy lost 131,000 jobs in July.

“The American people keep asking ‘Where are the jobs?’ but the only answer from Washington Democrats is more spending and more taxes. Their economic policies have failed and nearly 15 million Americans are still struggling to find work. “Today’s unemployment report should be a wake-up call to Democrats and their plan to impose the largest tax increase in American history. Higher taxes won’t get people hired. Congress must act soon to ensure that there will not be any tax increases on January 1, 2011 for American families, small businesses and family farms.”
