"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Perry: Americans Need Work, Not Symbolism; We Need New Jobs, Not New Agencies

Until I read this last night, had no idea that Obama wants to create a new Federal agency, Department of Jobs,  to go with all the rest of the jobs that have been growing in the Federal Government since he took office.  Where is the mainstream media reporting on this?  In search the only thing that shows up is Reuters reporting that the former Attorney General of Ohio has been appointed to head a new consumer agency.  Where is the money coming from?

Obama now says he will have a plan for the economy next month.  Which Wall Street group is going to write this one?  Goldman Sachs?

Criticizes Obama Proposal to Create Jobs Agency; Pledges to Get America Working Again
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – Texas Gov. Rick Perry today visited Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he criticized President Obama’s proposal to create a new jobs agency as a solution to economic recovery. He also reiterated his call for the Administration to issue a six-month freeze on new regulations to help free employers to create more jobs for Americans.
“What is this president’s plan to fix the economy? Apparently to create a new jobs agency,” Gov. Perry said. “Mr. President, we have tried two and a half years of government creating jobs, it’s time to let the private sector get to work. Americans need work, not symbolism. We need new jobs, not new agencies. If you want to create jobs, don’t create a new agency, and stop all the unnecessary regulations of the agencies you already control.”
Gov. Perry highlighted the healthy jobs climate in Texas, where more than 40 percent of the nation’s net new jobs have been created since June 2009. He noted the key to creating economic prosperity is upholding policies based on fiscal restraint, low taxes, reasonable and predictable regulations, and a fair legal system. In contrast, under President Obama, America has lost 2.5 million jobs, unemployment has gone up and there are one in six work-eligible Americans that cannot find a full time job.
As president, Gov. Perry has pledged to get the federal government’s fiscal house in order, simplify and limit taxes, restore the country’s good credit, and repeal Obama’s misguided one-size-fits-all, government-run health care plan. He also committed to holding government accountable to the taxpayers, and adhering to the fiscally responsible principles that will lead to job creation, and in turn, wealth, while educating and innovating in science, technology, engineering and math to create the jobs and progress needed to get America working again.

Never in my life have I seen such an inept President who is so out of touch with the American people -- no more rhetoric out of this White House would be nice.  Lived through Carter but this is worse.  Obama has been on a perpetual campaign since he took office with his comments aimed at reelection.  We never see anything concrete about what he is going to do to put people back to work unless it is a Government job like is going to happen with his new agency for jobs.   Nice how he announced this with Congress on recess.  Why is the Senate on recess when they don't have a budget?  The reason the deficit is growing is because of the lack of a budget from the Senate.  Guess they want to fund agencies again at the same levels without cuts.

Now we learn that Obama already has a new agency in his Administration with more government employees while at the same time his Administration is issuing new regulations that stifle job growth in the states.  Then there is the Fed Chair Bernanke keeping interest rates very low through the 2012 election which hurts the individual who is saving money but is making the Wall Street funds managers rich.  Get the Fed out of manipulating the interest rates and let them rise and fall on their own.  Also return groceries and gasoline to the inflation index to give us a true index not some Democrat politicians idea of what it should be.
