"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."
(Thomas Jefferson)

Chile Mine Rescue -- Over Half Rescued

Watching this scene unfold last night and now today gives a new meaning to what can be achieved when people put their heads together to cooperate in rescuing these miners. From the Navy of Chile who built the capsule to NASA and all the rescue workers, what they have prayed for since they learned the 33 men were still trapped in the mine is now a reality.

President Miguel Juan Sebastián Piñera Echenique, Ph.D., and his wife Cecilia Morel Montes have been meeting the miners as they come to the surface. As a conservative, Piñera, replaced a socialist which makes you wonder if the ingenuity returned to Chile to make this rescue when Piñera became President. You can tell that everyone surrounding their President likes him and his wife. Very impressed with this President.

God Bless the Miners, their families, and everyone involved in this rescue!

He went into the mine with cousins to pay for his son's
Medical Education
