"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Sink-Obama, Ideological Soulmates - Both Pro-Abortion

We said earlier that Alex Sink could run away from Obama but she couldn't hide. The truth was going to catch up with her sooner or later.  Sink is a member of Emily's list, and an extreme liberal who took her 15-year old daughter to an abortion rally in 2004. How many parents would do that?

Sink Took Her 15-Year Old Daughter To An Abortion Rally. “Although the march is not religion-based, many of the attendees are people of faith. Some are Christians who are angry that abortion rights opponents such as Operation Rescue appear to speak for all people of faith. ‘I resent it,’ said Alex Sink of Hillsborough County, a Presbyterian and the wife of former gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride, who will march Sunday with her 15-year-old daughter, Lexi. ‘They are extremists. To hide behind some religion is wrong. I resent that they may question the faith of some women who just believe government should stay out of reproductive issues.’” (Schulte, Eileen, “Faithful To March – But For Choice,” St. Petersburg Times, 4/24/04)

EMILY’s List, A Radical Pro-Abortion Organization Named Sink One Of Their Top 5 Priority Races In The Country. “A leading pro-abortion organization has released a list of its top five candidates it will be supporting in the 2010 elections. Emily’s List, which only supports pro-abortion candidates who back taxpayer-funded abortions and oppose a ban on partial-birth abortions, is helping bankroll their campaigns… In Florida, the pro-abortion group wants State Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink to become governor, replacing Gov. Charlie Crist… Sink faces pro-life Attorney General Bill McCollum in a marquis race for the Florida governorship and she complains McCollum is ‘known for being radically anti-choice.’ Democrats have a chance to win back the governorship after a decade of Republican rule, and recent polling shows this is an extremely close race, putting Alex within striking distance to win the race for governor in this crucial battleground state. But Republicans, led by Jeb Bush, will do whatever it takes to hold on to the governor’s mansion,’ Malcolm says.” (Ertelt, Steven, “Pro-Abortion Group Names Top 5 Candidates It Supports In 2010 Elections,” Lifenews.com, 9/2/09)

Sink Was The Brainchild Of Ruth’s List, A Florida Imitation Of EMILY’s List, Whose Top Priority Is To Elect Sink Governor. “Several prominent Tampa Democratic women are among a group trying to develop a state-level imitation of the powerful national political fundraising organization EMILY’s List. The new Florida organization, Ruth’s List, will focus only on state races, but has the same goal that EMILY’s List has in congressional races: "To elect pro-choice, progressive Democratic women candidates," said Fort Myers political consultant Ellis Robinson. It was the brainchild of Tampa Democrat Alex Sink, state chief financial officer, who’s running for governor. Backing Sink will be the group’s top priority this year, Robinson said. But she and others denied it’s just an outgrowth of the Sink campaign. The organization was planned in 2007 and began operation last year, before Sink decided to run for governor, Robinson said.” (March, William, “Florida Democratic Women Organize Fundraising Arm,” Tampa Tribue, 12/6/09)

As Of 2010, Alex Sink Has Donated Over $46,600 Dollars To Federal Campaigns Of Emily’s List, A Radical Pro-Abortion Organization. (Federal Election Commission, www.fec.gov, Accessed 09/6/10)

Sink Was Awarded The 2003 “Choice Award” By Planned Parenthood. “Alex Sink, retired president of Bank of America’s Florida operations and wife of failed gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride, was given Planned Parenthood’s ‘Choice Award’ for her contributions to women’s rights and called ‘an exquisite role model to women who want to work and have a career.’ Sink made sure McBride’s campaign reflected women’s abortion rights issues, one Planned Parenthood speaker said.” (Tubbs, Sharon “Roe vs. Wade Commemoration Takes On Rally Flavor,” St. Petersburg Times, 01/30/03)
On August 18, 2010, the day following the Florida primary, Obama made a fundraising trip to Florida for Alex Sink.  One little problem -- Sink ducked out of the fundraiser before Obama got there saying she had a prior commitment.  It was a lame excuse then and haven't changed our minds.   On CSPAN this video shows what Obama had to say that day about Alex Sink:

Alex Sink can run away all she wants from Obama and his Agenda but voters of Florida know that is just a ruse to pretend she is more conservative than what she really is. There is NOTHING Conservative about Alex Sink or anyone else who belongs to Emily's List.

On November 2nd, voters will be let her know that pretending to be something she is not did not work in Florida when they elect Rick Scott and Jennifer Carroll as Governor and Lt Governor of Florida.
