"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

Nevada Senate Race: Harry Reid lives at the Ritz Carlton in DC while Nevada has the Highest Unemployment Rate

Harry Reid should have been sent to the unemployment line by Nevada voters a long time ago after what we have been reading about his lifestyle on top of the Obama agenda he has shoved down all of our throats the last two years. Time to tell Harry Reid to take a hike because he only knows how to grow Government and tax, tax, tax.

By all accounts of the media  she wiped him out in the debate last week -- Sharron Angle's closing statement:

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT SHARRON ANGLE’S DEBATE VICTORY:

Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Sherman Frederick: “Angle mops the floor with Reid” (Sherman Frederick, “Angle mops the floor with Reid,” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 10/14/10)

Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Sherman Frederick: “She Hit Hard On A Variety Of Topics; Showed She Had The Fire To Be A U.S. Senator; Demonstrated A Command Of The Issues; And, Of Course, Stayed Gaffe Free.” (Sherman Frederick, “Angle mops the floor with Reid,” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 10/14/10)

Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Sherman Frederick:
“Reid Meanwhile Looked Tired. Sounded Entitled. He mixed up the Department of Education with the Department of Energy. Couldn’t find his notes for the close and generally fell back on talking points on far too many questions.” (Sherman Frederick, “Angle mops the floor with Reid,” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 10/14/10)

The National Review’s Kathryn Jean Lopez: “The Grandmother From Reno Just Won The Only Nevada Senate Debate, Against The United States Senate Majority Leader. She held her own against someone who has been in the Senate since 1987.” (Kathryn Jean Lopez, “Ladies and Gentleman …” National Review, 10/14/10)

These two ads sum up Harry Reid -- the first one is an independent expenditure by the NRSC and the second one is from the Sharron Angle campaign:

In Nevada, Jon Ralston is first with the news on the NRSC’s new independent expenditure TV ad entitled “Ritz,” which notes embattled Senator Harry Reid’s lavish lifestyle while voters in the Silver State struggle to make ends meet.

And Sharron Angle released a new TV ad entitled “Harry vs. You,” contrasting Harry Reid’s out-of-touch agenda and lifestyle with the struggles Nevadans face every day.

Meanwhile, Reid is facing criticism for yet another verbal gaffe, comparing President Obama to one of the trapped Chilean miners. Sherman Frederick, publisher of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, writes:

Harry Reid, once again, demonstrates his silver tongue oratory in comparing us to the miners in Chile. It's not good enough to say that Republicans drove the economy into a ditch. Harry now says it was actually like a mine shaft a half mile deep. But, Obama rolled up his sleeves and said "I'm gonna get us out of this hole." One problem with that speech (actually there's a dozen problems with the speech, but let's focus on the obvious one): Those guys in Chile got out. We're still trapped down here with Obama, Reid and Nancy Pelosi in charge of the rescue effort. Any of you see any daylight, yet?
If you are a Nevada voter, please vote to send Harry Reid, the Obama/Pelosi supporter, to the Unemployment Line on November 2nd, 2010!  Vote for Sharron Angle who will truly represent the people of Nevada in the Senate.
