"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men
from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."

In Debate, Feingold Calls MoveOn.org "People On The Extremes" but Took $600,000 of their Donations?

Feingold is the well documented partner of John McCain on campaign finance reform (CFR) that most of us expected would be overturned by SCOTUS.  Unfortunately most of CFR is still in place today. After all that posturing on CFR, why won't Russ Feingold ask MoveOn.org and AFL-CIO to disclose their donors? Is that another one of the Democrat stances that disclosure only pertains to Republicans.

Feingold calls MoveOn.org "people on the extremes" while taking $600,00 from them for his Senate race. Believe the word for Feingold is hypocrite. Surely he must know that it wouldn't take that information long to hit the internet and wind its way into the media.  We cannot fathom him giving the money back.  Must be desperate to start calling MoveOn.org "people on the extremes" as he tries to spin to Wisconsin voters.

In Debate, Feingold Calls MoveOn.org "People On The Extremes."

When will he give their money back?

When asked during tonight’s U.S. Senate debate why he refused to condemn left-wing special interest group MoveOn.org’s shameful advertisement attacking General David Petraeus, embattled 18-year incumbent Russ Feingold said he couldn’t be bothered with holding the group accountable, referring to them as “people on the extremes.”

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on October 2nd that "The liberal group, MoveOn.org Political Action, announced Saturday that it had raised $600,000 for U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.)."

Is it safe to assume, then, that Senator Feingold will be returning the $600,000 MoveOn.org raised on his behalf just over a week ago?

The Oshkosh Northwestern reported on October 1st that “MoveOn.org… is trying to recruit 1,000 volunteers to help [Feingold], who faces a surprisingly stiff challenge from Republican Oshkosh businessman Ron Johnson."

When will Senator Feingold be informing these “people on the extremes,” also known as his liberal activist base, the he won’t be accepting their help?

Statement On Johnson Feingold Debate
Posted October 12, 2010

Oshkosh, WI… Tonight, Oshkosh Manufacturer and Senate Candidate Ron Johnson showed the voters of Wisconsin an honest candidate who is prepared to step up and help put our country on the right path forward.

Wisconsinites are tired of the same old politics as usual that we saw from Senator Russ Feingold in these debates. While Senator Feingold has proven himself ever the slick politician, in his 18-years in Washington, he has produced few results to match his rhetoric. Senator Feingold tells the voters of Wisconsin that he is an independent and a maverick, but Wisconsin could have used a real maverick when he cast the deciding vote on the stimulus and health care legislation. Senator Feingold has been part of the problem in Washington and Wisconsin voters know that the people who got us into this mess are not going to get us out.

Tonight Ron Johnson showed us that he is the kind of candidate who will take his experience growing a business and creating jobs and apply it to the problems from Washington. Ron Johnson showed the voters of Wisconsin that he will bring common sense solutions to our government and he will cut spending and create jobs. Voters of Wisconsin saw a refreshing candidate who is ready to stand up for his country and fight and tonight they saw Ron Johnson as the right leader to help turn our country around.

Ron Johnson's closing remarks from the first debate on October 8th.

Ron Johnson is an accountant involved in manufacturing while Feingold is one of 57 lawyers currently in the US Senate.  We believe the people of Wisconsin will be better served by electing Ron Johnson, accountant, and retiring Russ Feingold, Lawyer, on November 2nd.  Polls from Wisconsin continue to show Johnson with a double digit lead in the election which is three weeks from today.
